What is your favorite kit on the battlefield of SQUAD and why?

I know it's not popular but Marksman is always fun to play when you're with a well coordinated squad, but mainly because of the stabilization aspect, same with machine gunner.

Russian LAT/HAT with the RPGv2 because nothing is as satisfying as using that scope to range and hit a vehicle. Plus the fragmentation rounds are always an added bonus.

The NLAW is a contender though, if I had more opportunities to play and master the PLOS.

Rifleman. Grenades, extra ammo, assault rifle. Good to go!

HAT, Crewman, HMG, Medic and SL.

Honestly base rifleman or medic, everything else is lacking too much, or is only allowed 2 for the entire team which for slow on-foot infantry in most situations can feel pretty pointless. It's pretty nice playing HAT though when you're using a conventional faction. Russians finally have a HAT with range. The AT with 2 tandems will always be the golden standard though.

HAT for sure. When an IFV or even an MBT gets cocky and decides to get a little too close, slamming it with some tandem rockets from a couple hundred meters out feels great. Even better when a helicopter with a bunch of guys picks the wrong place to land.

Grenadier would be a close second, particularly on urban maps. People often feel safe when backing away from a window of a building. When you get the hang of guessing range for the grenades you turn their cover into the very thing that gets them killed with splash damage.

For me, a perfect 5 man squad is SL, Medic, Rifleman, Engineer, AT.

Personally, I like playing the engineer kit. You can drop mines, drop bombs, build twice as fast, and drop your own defensive emplacements. If you tag an engi as a FTL, he can stay behind and build a superfob while the rest of the squad moves up.

I do wish the engi could also build HMGs, mortars, etc. if he is an FTL in the squad.

I don't have a favorite kit. I love them all in certain situations, hate some of them in others. I will say the one I play most is the SL with optics, though that's more a result of me stepping up in pubs than anything else; I hate when people take their sweet time growing the cajones to form a squad. SL'ing is great fun, but I take breaks. There's no need to get burnt out on a video game lol

I always ask someone to grab the Combat Engineer kit when I'm SL on an invasion layer.

My favorite thing to do is to run armor with a CE for mine-laying, vehicle repair, and building on radios from heli-drops.

On Skorpo Invasion V1 we often flip the BMP1 and get the CE to take it out with 30-second charges.

It's hilarious - the Stryker is so fast that I can usually drive up to underneath (or is it arming distance?) the BMP1's turret and then it's a matter of sumo-wrestling until one of us ends up in the water or on our back. This never gets old for me, and the CE-kit is what makes it possible.

I don’t have a specific Kit that I love, since as infantry it can really depend on the map. However, I love the crewman since I love to play vehicles. But it isn’t really the love for the kit rather than the fact that it allows me to drive tanks, the kit itself sometimes is kinda ehhh.

I think rifleman is the only answer to this. You have the ability to help your team, while being somewhat expendable. Even though I like seeing vehicles blow up or helicopters being shot out of the sky, you gotta realize, as a rifleman, you can shoot people out of logistic vehicles, helicopters and more! Even after a thousand hours of playing the game, I'd stick to it. Especially since I've started to get into the competitive scene.

I really enjoyed the grenadier before I got the SL curse. It used to be the only kit I ever played if I wasn't filling a medic or rifleman slot. At one point I had even "felt out" the arc of the grenades so that I could hipfire them accurately. I had read about that in some war memoir a while back and knew I had to learn to do it in Squad. I was kinda alright at it but boy did it feel good when you lobbed a 40 right in the middle of a bunch of guys.

But as I said, I got the SL curse. If I don't end up choosing to lead a squad from the beginning of the match, the role will inevitably fall on me anyways. For the past 700 or so hours since I first started SL'ing, I have been pretty well stuck SL'ing. Almost without failure I'll join a squad, find that the squad leader didn't want to SL in the first place and it will get passed to me after I take charge. I guess it isn't so bad considering that I really enjoy the added responsibilities. It's to the point now where I almost feel out of place when I am not in charge of the squad.

    Depends on which faction.

For example canadian sniper kit is disgusting and you pick it for a point-and-click adventure.

For bullying insurgents I've gravitated toward scoped L85 LAT on Al Basrah because it's like marksman rifle, but more bullets.

I used to use Russian HAT but I'm not using anymore until OWI actually fix the PGO-7 sight(it shoots too low).

    Medic.

Especially now when i am in a clan helping your fellow player in the middle of danger and firefight dragging him back and getting him up.The best part is everyone always say "thank you"

The CAF carl gustav with HE frag ammo. It is the most powerful role in the game and on more than one occasion I have achieved 0 deaths 100+ kills+ numerous light and heavy vehicles destroyed.

The only problem with the role is that it requires a logi truck full of ammo to function otherwise its a dick without balls.

    US M4A1 riflemen anyone?
