Kickstarter Backers - Clan Patch
Thought I would get my first forum post online and start with a question.
I recall that founders/backers who signed up with the clan package would get a custom clan patch for their in-game uniform. The design to be submitted by the clan.
Is this still a thing? Or is my memory failing me?

I was and Tiger Platoon was one of the pre pre pre alpha supporters of squad. We all came from Project Reality. I purchased two full clan packs and multiple individual squad keys in those early days supporting the development of this fantastic fps game.
During that time we were informed and promised we as the earliest supporters would get our own unit / clan / team patches on our characters ingame of squad. We saw many of the younger clans / groups of squad wanting to get in on this deal getting their own arm patches ingame aswell. Arguing most of the old clans from pre development were no longer around. I am here to inform you.
We are still around, Tiger Platoon is still around, and we are yet to see our unique unit / clans patch on our shoulders characters ingame. With 6 years of delay. When is this happening?

Yes, my clan also purchased the clan pack. I still have my email with the keys from September 10, 2015.
I have not received any instructions on formatting or uploading our custom badge into the game. We may not have the same members playing today that received keys then, but we have more and more members picking up the game.
I would love to see the custom patch that was offered for our club. I like my "stuff" to be custom!!!
That said, I understand that there are a million issues to resolve and stuff like this is pretty low priority. However, I would love to find out if we can still partake in this awesome perk for the early backers.

@Krispy tagged as community manager of squad. We are awaiting your response on this matter, relaying the response from the OWI Development team. This question was also asked on the 3rd of May 2021 in the Support chat channel on the official squad discord server.
Back on September 15, 2020, it was announced that the physical rewards were almost ready and that clan backers would be contacted within a month regarding clan patches. Nine months later and not one peep.
I would post a link, but apparently as a Ranger-level Founder (plus two Commanders and a Company Clan pack) I am not allowed to. It's the last update on the Kickstarter page.

Greetings, Airborne and Ranger Founder Squaddies!
As you all know, we have been laser-focused on the development of Squad itself. If you haven’t been checking out our development blog, it’s worth taking a read - from new announcements to in-depth game design discussions, there have been a lot of fantastic posts going up lately and a lot of great new content planned for the game.
That said, we wanted to take a quick moment to update you on the Kickstarter rewards, both digital and physical, so strap in.
We are pleased to share that we have almost completed production on all of the physical rewards! So much has changed in Squad, and we wanted to make sure the map booklets you receive reflect these changes - while we had already made them up, we are now in the process of reprinting them as a result. With COVID impacting businesses worldwide, this is impacting both the production of items as well as our team safely accessing the offices to start packaging things up. In addition to new map booklets, we are also working on getting an embroidered patch made up as a bonus, and thank you for your patience!
We apologize for the delay and look forward to sending physical items out as soon as we can! Please keep an eye on your inboxes for information in the coming month, or so that we can request your updated mailing address information.
For those still waiting on the digital rewards, your Steam Inventory Weapon skins should be accessible in the Squad update hitting Steam on September 23rd.
To view and enable your Founder’s Weapon Skins, while In-Game, Go to Settings Menu -> Steam Inventory to view your weapon skins and enable/disable them in the menu. This menu will also allow you to enable and disable your Squad founder’s uniform patch. If anyone encounters any technical issues with this feature once it’s live, we ask that you contact us via the support button on joinsquad.com and then clicking ‘submit a request’ in the top right corner.
Last but not least, if you were part of the Company Clan Backer level, we will be contacting you or your Company Clan Leader within the next month with information about how to get your clan’s uniform patch up and running in Squad. All Company Clan Leader backers will initially have a “Squad Legion” Company Clan uniform patch to showcase that they were a Company Clan backer. Once your Company Clan Leader has received and responded to our information request, you will be able to enable and disable your clan patch in the same In-Game Settings Menu -> Steam Inventory.

Hopefully this promise will be fulfilled and the trust and financing from the founders rewarded ASAP. 😎
Is there any update regarding the patch from OWI?
It has been a year since the last official statement on the matter. No replies on the Kickstarter page, and none here.
They have your money; you're worthless to them now.
It sure feels like it.
How much effort is it to comment on this promise?
Don't worry, they just hired a new community guy instead of paying someone to fix the problem with the game.
I'm sure he'll get up to speed with the current failure of squad...soon(tm).

We’re sorry this hasn’t happened yet. We made a good amount of development progress on these, but had to temporarily redirect development resources to address other issues. We’d really like to see this completed and will be looking to have the priority raised for the future.
Any update on this? LOL half my guys don't even show in the Credits?
It's crazy, this is my first day on the forums after being a backer in 2015. I specifically remember that Founder tags in forums, in game patches, and weapon skins were apart of the Squad Leader package; I've since received my gun skins and founder patch in game, but everything else fell to the wayside.
It's definitely not game breaking, but kinda sucks that bits and pieces of the promised package fell out after some time.

And here we are ladies and gentlemen on June 12th 2022 , nothing heard since my last post in this thread in May 2021.
1. No word or response from the old community manager krispy.
2. No word or response from the new SQUAD community manager who since then has been hired.
3. No word or response or response from the OWI Development team.
Get your **** squared away OWI ! Deliver, and have the common decency and respect to respond to your initial EARLY INVESTORS!
Or does this require a real time visit to your company headquarters for some real answers?
Krispy had a lot going on outside of the internet, hence him moving on from OWI.
Last I heard the clan patch implementation was put on hold due to getting the inventory implementation of said patches streamlined to make things easier for implementation. There was an email sent out a while ago to the company clan pack leaders who purchased with some info. Since v2 there's been a huge priority shift in what needs development focus, so clan patches were bumped down the priority ladder for things that needed a more immediate focus.
Though @OWI_Wedge might have some more info in regards to this.
Thanks for the update Dubs, do you have any idea what the content of these emails was? Our clan pack buyer's last contact was from "Kieth" on the 1st of October 2015. We have had no information since then, hence our keen desire to find out and get a response from OWI.
Whilst we fully understand other things have priority over what is essentially a cosmetic detail, it's one of the key things that made us all go "Yeah we want this game" back in 2015.
I'm not 100% sure on the full contents of the email, but it was primarily about the clan patch implementation and an information request from OWI to get the ball rolling with adding the clan patches. This email should of went out to the person who purchased the pack around late September 2020.

It's understandable about wanting to hear about when it'll happen, it's taken a long time and has been set back a few times and there really hasn't been said much about it since the 2020 announcement & email.

And at some point my handle was removed from the Ranger credits.
It's great to see the new emotes being released with 4.2. Do you have a schedule for releasing the Kickstarter clan patches yet?
