3.2 Issues Report

V3.2 is now live, please report new issues here using the following format:

Bug Report Template:

  • Version: x.x (check on the main menu, bottom left)
  • Type: Map- the name of the map/Gameplay/Asset/Sound/Visual/Other bug
  • Description: Describe in detail the issue.
  • Screenshots/Video: Please include a screenshot of the issue and/or minimap location if applicable (and youtube/streamable video link if necessary)
  • Reproduction steps: how to reliably reproduce this bug (make sure it's reproducible in an online server, rather than in offline mode)

    Crashing after stuttering and FPS drops to single figures. Reproduceable by joining, driving a logi.

    • Version: 3.2 (check on the main menu, bottom left)
    • Type: Map- Al Bes Seeding/New combat engi mines detection.
    • Description: So, The mines will work if you hit them with tires. But if you take off all of the tires of the logi and then run them over nothing, No amount of mines will kill that logi/transport at that point. Mines will also not detect the body of the logi/ transport either. Also you can place mines in the air with no support.

    • Reproduction steps: So both of these are easy to repro just shoot out the tires and your good for mines and then for the air placement of mines just build a sandbag and it will allow you to place it in the air next to you.

    Typ: Asset (LAv25)

    Description: The LAV25 still has a zero Armor spot on the Tire on the armor. (the one that was previously clipping) You are able to kill it with Everything. Example with a BMP2 you can shoot Fragmentation Tracer Rounds on the Tire and it will melt the Lav25 in like 3 Seconds. This is surly not intended...

    Reproduction steps: Enter the Gunner Seat of a BMP2, select Ammunition 2 ( Fragmentation Tracer) and shoot at the Tire that is haning on the side of the LAV25. The LAV25 will take dmg and will be elimated.

    • Description: Game crashes when using the Windows key or Alt+Tab to use another tab or window. Returns to loading screen but audio ofthe match rethe mains on a 5-10 second loop of what was happening when you tabbed out.
    • Reproduction steps: Multiple times in a row, same server, same issue.

    Type: Vehicle gameplay - Smoke

    Description : The smoke effect is focused on the left side of the vehicle and is not symmetrical with the right side. Also, there is no sound effect of the smoke grenade exploding when spraying the smoke.

    Type: Game crash

    Description: Game crashes on loading screen. UE4 Crash report states: "Assertion failed: [File:C:/buildWork/482dc7ffae9b9a8a/UnrealEngine/Engine/Source/Runtime/RenderCore/Private/RenderingThread.cpp] [Line: 1138] GameThread timed out waiting for RenderThread after 120.00 secs".

    Reinstalling and deletion of cache files did not work. Squad is unplayable.

    Squad was working on my setup (AMD Ryzen 9, 32 GB RAM, RTX 2070) for over 5 years. After update to version 3.2 game does not start anymore.

    Reproduction steps: Everytime

    Typ: Asset (all Abrams variants)

    Description: The USMC M1A1 (desert and woodland) turret cheeks can be penetrated directly from the front by MBT AP shells. In comparison, the US M1A2 (and strangely also the AUS M1A1) turret cheeks can only be penetrated from one side. Before V3.2, the turret cheeks of all Abrams variants were impenetrable when facing you. Even if this change is intentional and not mentioned in the patchnotes, the US M1A2 still has different behavior for left and right turret cheek.

    Reproduction steps: Enter an online server, spawn a USMC M1A1 and shoot into its turret cheeks directly from the front with an MBT AP shell (T72B3 tested). You will always penetrate. Spawn a US M1A2 and repeat, you will only penetrate one side (right from Abrams drivers perspective).

    Description: In armored vehicles (tested with IFVs and MBTs), small mouse adjustments are sometimes not registered when the turret is facing almost exactly forward between 0° and 360°. Reproducible on online training range and observed on live online servers.

    Reproduction steps: Load into an online (or offline) server, take seat 2 in an MBT and fully zoom in. Very slowly rotate the turret left and right, sweeping over the 0 degree angle (relative to the vehicle).

    The Issue has been noticed since the rewrite of the Turret Logic in Version 2.0 and is map/faction independent

    • Description: Crash, return on desktop. The game crash with no reason and anytime, after an hour or few minutes... It's a long time I played an all game since update...
    • Try to update driver, verify files of Squad
    • Config: i5-4690K no OC ; GTX 970 4Go no OC ; 26GO RAM
    • SquadGame.log : got two differents errors which causes crashes but can't understand what the problem in game

    Found the problem, I 've install software from Razer. Since I deinstall this last everything's OK. If it can help someone...
