Smaller map when driving vehicles

When driving the logi or any other vehicle, I believe that when you enter a vehicle, the map should be smaller and have a max distance of 1000 meters or be at least 2/3 of the regular size map. A full sized map gets in the way and you can't really see half the screen when you have your map pulled up. Ideally you would like to ride without the map all the time, but friendlies put mines, so you have to constantly keep updating and checking your map.
So in summary, I think we should have a smaller map automatically when we enter a vehicle and if we need to make it bigger we can just toggle it with a keybind to increase it to regular size.

I don't understand what is wrong with a mini map on the HUD at all times. Make it a toggle option. I just don't understand. All it would do is make driving and getting from A to B more enjoyable.
That is not the game that Squad intends to be. You may not be the target demographic for this game.
