realistically and functionally there should be the ability to simply hit the crouch button and duck down into cover when using a emplacement weapon or in the gunner position on humvees . if you want to add some balance to it for whatever reason,you could add a fractional stamina penalty.

Are you suggesting taking cover as an option?
All jokes aside, we had this "feature" back in our PR days and i can't thing of a single reason why OWI didn't included this in Squad.
Basicly without it, all open top seats are just another form of an suicide chair, especially in urban areas.
yes,ducking down into Humvee or crouched down on free standing weapons like dshk.
You can duck in most seats by just aiming up. (extra hilarious on leotard2 where the model glitches inside the turret)
It just doesn't work with reloading.
I definitely agree with this suggestion.
