Constant and frequent game crashes with an Unreal Engine error

Within the last few months, no changes to my rig, I get constant end frequent crashes with Unreal Engine error messages that generate a report. The crashes happen every other game or even every game. I have tried all suggested solutions so far. Updated and DDU reinstalled drivers, verify game files, deleting the Unreal Engine folders, run the executables as admin, disabled steam overlays and recording software etc etc etc To no avail.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900KF, GTX 2080Ti, 64Gb RAM

Running in 3440x1400 window mode, no additional monitors.

Anyone else having similar issues that may have fixed the problem?

Some progress of my own testing. I have disabled Discord in my PC while I play Squad and I have been able to play 3 sessions uninterrupted by the Unreal Engine crash. Still early to confirm if this was the issue or not. But discord certainly has some streaming, game overlay and video capture features that can indeed interfere.

Well, I just got a new crash without Discord on, so I am all out of ideas. Any help appreciated.

Thing with that error is that I dont have any C:/buildingWork folder in my PC. Any ideas?

No, nothing worked. But... I just reduced my quality settings in a few areas from max level (epic etc) one notch down and no crashes for a few days yet.

Well I take that back. Just got two crashes within an hour.

Something I have noted is that I have less crashes when I do not have Discord open in my PC.

I have tried re installing again and uninstalling discord, I still have random crashes.

Hi there, what GPU you have? If you have an Nvidia, open the Control Panel, go to "Help", then activate "Debug Mode". At least it has been already a few days with zero crashes when I activate Debug Mode. Crossed fingers.

i have the same issue, it's driving me nuts, Debug mode didn't help me, anyone fixed this so far??

Seemingly same problem. I rarely get an error though, the game just closes.

I finally found out what my problem was. You can see above that whenever I activated the Nvidia control panel "Debug Mode" I stopped having crashes. Well what that mode does is basically eliminates any overclocking the GPU may have. As it happens my RTX2080Ti came with a factory overclocking and that is what seems to be causing the crashes. Now I use MSI afterburner to boot up my GPU at a slightly lower core clock (-125MHz) and everything is fine. I have not noticed any drop in performance in my gaming either.

I think i finally fixed it, i downloaded Epic Games Launcher, during it's installation i noticed it also installed some Unreal Engine Repositories, and i also installed Unreal Engine just to be sure, i have 0 issues after that, now i have uninstalled Unreal engine because it was consuming 40GB, and still have 0 issues, one of the two installations probably installed some missing files to my system.

Edit: it wasn't what i mentioned in my previous post, it is the XMP profile in BIOS. when i enable it i have constant crashes in Squad (only), the fix was to disable XMP, and manually OC my RAM instead.
