SERVER TWO: Community Clan Fight Night - CCFN 25 #2

Team 1

  • Zulu X-ray Delta
  • Spec Ops Echo

Team 2

  • Fear Academy
  • Warriors
  • CSSC

Standby Clans:  SquadBeans - At this time we are waiting for SquadBeans to confirm their availability.  If they want to play we will most likely merge Husaria and EXODUS on server one, as they are both running reduced numbers, and SquadBeans would take Husaria's slot on team one.  All will be confirmed before game start.

For clans new to the event, and to remind everyone else, here is a quick breakdown of how things run.  Timings below are in UTC format.

  • 1810: Join your server
  • 1810 - 1820: Team up / Squad up / Warm up (Game map - Fools Road AAS 1)
  • 1820 - 1830: Teams discuss tactics
  • 1830: Change to map game LIVE - round one
  • Halftime: Five minute break / server changes map twice
  • Halftime: Break finished / Change back to map LIVE - round two
  • Finish: Round two ends

The game will start at 1830 promptly.  Make sure your team is on the server and on the correct side by 1820.

We begin on a skirmish map.  Use this time to warm up and discuss team tactics.  The event will go live on the change to the chosen map.  Live  will be announced.  The same again at half time, skirmish map, two maps changes to avoid the bug and keep the teams, then live when we drop into the map.

NO TEAM KILLING prior to the start of the rounds or at any time.  Use the time to squad up, warm up, discuss team tactics and brief your squad.  Be sensible, formulate your team strategy and disperse it to your squad members.

New changes implemented following the 'Council of the Clans' meeting held earlier this week:

  • The twenty minutes before game start will no longer be run on a skirmish map.  We will be running the game map, so teams can use the time to discuss tactics more effectively and players can warm up on the map they are about to play.
  • Remember that only 50% of the participating clans speak English as a first language.  Squad leaders especially should use try to speak slowly and clearly using simple straight forward English in the command channel at all times.  The NATO phonetic alphabet should be used when possible to call grid references.  Communication and game play are directly connected meaning that improved communication equates to improved game play.
  • Fear Academy and EXODUS have agreed to each drop a player this week if the servers are full and the broadcasters do not have a slot.
  • Team Killing is not acceptable and clan leads are asked to remind their squads to make use of the free time to warm up and discuss tactics rather than killing each other.

We are playing Fools Road AAS v1.  'Tunnel Rats'.  As always teamwork will win the day.  Its going to be a battle, make sure you come prepared.

Fool's Road AAS 1 won the map vote this week, with Kohat AAS close behind in second place.  All players should be advised that map changes in v6 can be a little buggy.  If your hanging on map change, please wait a minute to see if it connects, then reconnect if you need to.  If cans can notify in side chat when they have disconnects, we will wait where necessary and hold game start to ensure teams are balanced correctly.  VOIP bug should no longer be an issue in build 6.3.

See you on the servers.

Game on!

We won't make this event at late notice, but I'm looking forward to bringing a PRTA-Coalition squad back into the CCFN from next week. Have fun everyone!
