Error when starting up squad.

When i startup squad i get this error: the following component(s) are required to run this program: microsoft visual say ++ 2015 runtime

 

Ive tried reinstalling, verifying, but nothing seems to work. does anyone know how to fix this?

Run windows update, ill see if i can find a link for you.

Whenever i run windows updates it says something like the services are unavailable. it already does this a long time but i have never had any problems because of it. Guess i have to reinstall windows to play :s

I hate to ask, but your not running a pirated copy of Windows 7 by chance are you?
that would def stop you from running some updates. (not judging or finger pointing, just putting it out there if someone is using a pirated copy and wondering)

One of my friends was able to run windows update on a pirated windows 7

Same problem...the fact is that I cant afford an original windows copy at the moment. So am I unable to play the game?

Im actually asking this question for a friend. He has a legit version of windows but he thinks he has a virus blocking the update.

 

raphoneZ i am running a cracked version of windows 7 (because my hdd broke a long time ago so i had to reinstall windows and i didnt have the disk anymore) And for me it works perfectly fine.

Check to make sure your firewall is working, if anything, see if there is a pirate version of the it. (Have no idea if there is). See if you can find the driver in your friends pc.

I had the same problem, that's how I solved it:

 

Uninstall the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Red....blablabla. (x64 and x86)

 

Reboot.

 

Install this FILE.

 

Wait for to complete the install and run Squad from steam. (then wait for another 5 minutes to actually start the game...)

 

I have a pirated version of Win7. ;)
