Prior to that, I had a GTX 470 and then was gifted a GTX 660, and could only play Squad on minimum settings at 1280x720. In terms of raw FPS, my CPU is likely bottle-necking the card a bit (although from similar builds, it's not too bad), however seeing as my monitor is really the ultimate bottleneck, it doesn't really matter to me. My friend, it's impossible you're using a i5 760 with that board.

Krille Posted April 7, 2018 (edited) FPS, 50-70 on lowest, 40-60 fps with some stuff on medium to at least make the game look better then bf2. 1920x1080 Computer Xfx 7950, 1040mhz core clock and 1320mhz memory clock. I7 6700k, 4.5 ghz 16gig ram 500gb ssd How gpu intense is squad? I feel like i should get more fps and be able to play on medium settings with no problems with acceptable fps. The only thing that sucks in my computer is my gpu, im waiting for prices to be reasonable again before upgrading. When are they going to focus on optimization? I feel like they should start to consider optimizing squad so more people can play it. Edit: Since V11 my FPS has increased significantly and its very playable on mid settings now with fps from 50 in cities to 80 in less urban areas. Still waiting eagerly to buy a new gpu en see how well my system will handle Squad then Edited May 10, 2018 by Krille

Chew_Kok_Long Posted June 22, 2018 (edited) FPS: Minimum 50 (rare drops and only in crowded areas looking towards enemy team), mostly 70-120. 120+ in mainbase at round start/empty server. Settings: 2560x1440 on 144Hz screen LOW PRESET APPLIED, then changed settings: Anti-aliasing: T-FXAA Super sampling: 0x Effects: Low (has the biggest fps hit for me) View Distance: Epic Foliage: Medium Shadows: High Ambient Occlusion: Yes Bloom: No Eye adaption: No Gamma: 2.00 Screen sharpening: 1.00 Imho this makes the game look awesome while you still keep your frames. For me the trick is to apply the low preset first (if you play in 1080p or have a better gpu than 970 you can well also use medium) to get rid of post processing effects which cannot be disabled seperately. Posted a new thread about upgrading to a 2k 144hz monitor on a gtx1070 right before seeing your post Your fps seems better than what I get on a slightly newer rig... will try the presets as soon as possible! I would wish for higher effects though (explosions are amazing in this game) as well as high foliage over shadows. Edited July 1, 2018 by doomis
Chew_Kok_Long Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) I have a Dell S2716DG and i love it. The 970 really lacks power for it sadly but 1070 would be 10/10. Ima wait for the next batch of Nvidia GPUs before i upgrade, really need to skip one generation at least. Effects is what really eats fps though, you should go on the shooting range and see the effects difference. On explosions for example it doesnt look bad at all if you keep it on medium. Also, fps dropped by around 15-20 with last patch. Even on shooting range now i mostly have 65-105. Edited July 1, 2018 by Chew_Kok_Long

Erdogan GoatDictator Posted November 25, 2018 (edited) How can players play without AA and without super-sampling.That is a hazy bunch.I have a gtx 970 and a 6600K.Everything is at its highest with TXAA and at least 1.25 super-sampling.You need that at least for a nice experience.Strange that there are many with much better computers, this can not run.Probably they made the mistake of having a too high resolution screen, which is totally unnecessary.1920x1080 24 inches is perfect for games and work.. vsync on 60fps 6600K 4600mhz RAM 16GB GTX 970 1500MHZ Do not buy AMD, junk!
