What FPS do you get playing Squad with your rig?

Recommended Posts

[email protected] 4.6ghz

16gb 18??mhz

sandisk ssd

290x

before vehicles update was at least 60-120fps on lowest settings except for texture memory at 4+gb and epic view distance resolution at 1920x1080,

average was 70fps 60fps on full 72man server full fire fight.

Now 40-100 average usually sits around 40 with heavy fire fights.

infantry only servers still run near the 100 mark.

Think the 290x still runs with the big boys, on average better then a 980 by the looks of it.

Also  ran Squad on my sons PC has the amd6300 six core 4.2ghz and a 7870 tahiti oc to the melting point of any solder joint. It runs like crap. AMD cpu's do suck for this engine, the gpu is still a decent card for its age compared to a r9 270 or r9 280. People expecting to run the game well with something less then a r9 290 or a 980ti are in for a surprise. 480 would be okay but if you have a 970 it would be more of a side step of an upgrade not worth the cost.

FPS: 35-50

CPU:i7 6700 skylake 3.4Ghz

GPU: 2 x GTX 980's

Ram:16 GB GDDR4

Settings : High without AA

Resolution: 3440 x 1440

I use 100% of GPU 1, 52% of GPU2, about 45% of my ram and 50% of my CPU(50% over all, core 1 at 92%).

Before v7 i ran at around 70-90 fps on ultra at same resolution.

Played a few matches on a 62 slot server and never went below 60fps(that I noticed, maybe it did slightly), averaged about 70-75fps. Maps were Chora, Logar and Kohat. After switching to borderless window I seemed to get less fatal errors, I still got them just less.
-
Played a little bit of Fools Road and it dipped to about 55fps but averaged about 70fps on full 62 slot.
-
Play some Insurgency on Kohat and the fps seemed to go from 35-75.

I want to get this game but it's poorly optimized from my knowledge even though I meet the requirements I want to be sure I can run it before purchasing

GPU: GeForce GTX 950 2GB

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz

Ram: 8GB

I am perfectly fine with running at low settings as long as it's playable(30 fps+)

Surprised anyone even gets over 20 fps. Update was very unoptimized. Don't think you will get fair FPS on this my friend.

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz

GPU: GeForce GTX 960 4GB

Ram: 16GB DDR3

This game regardless of setting runs like shit. I'm talking 15 fps, which I don't really understand considering I have a decent rig. Anyways goodluck to you!

UPDATE: Turns out after updating my motherboard BIOS this game went from 20 FPS to 60 FPS on epic setting. I got my computer from CyberPowerPC and they edited the bios. Pretty sure what ever version they had was bunk. Game runs mint now.

FPS: 15min 65max

CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 x4 @ 3.79ghz OC

GPU: AMD Radon RX470 8GB @ 1620 MHz

RAM: 8GB @ 1620 MHz

Res: 1080p  Medium / shadows low settings

FPS: 15min 40max

CPU: AMD Phenom II 955 x4 @ 3.20ghz

GPU: AMD Radon HD 5850 1GB crossfire

RAM: 8GB @ 1333MHz

Res: 1080p  Low settings

Games sesame to be extremely CPU dependent when player population increase a server.

And after the last patch a get more crash to desktop

I have a similar setup to you:

CPU: i7-4790K @ 4.00GHz

GPU: GTX960 4GB but in x4 PCI-e v3 slot

RAM: 16GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz

Resolution: 2560x1440

Settings: default - seems to be Epic nearly across the board

FPS: 20-30

Right now I seem to get around 20 FPS, maybe 30 at a push.

Can you post more info about your BIOS please? A motherboard make & model would be ideal.

Sorry man, the processor is over 7 years old now, it's getting a bit long in the tooth for the kind of CPU heavy games like squad. I assume the 965 is already heavily overclocked (>=4ghz)? If not, try it out! I have a similar experience with my 8 year old i7 920, at the stock 2.66ghz I can't break 25fps but when I push it to 3.6ghz I get much better frames. v8 did help a bunch, but I still hover between 30-40fps at super low. I was also dipping to the 20s until I used Smooth's settings, which have kept me almost constantly above 30fps.

AMD 1075T 6 core @ 3.5ghz

Nvidia 960

8gb ram

Non-SSD HDD

1920x1080 with all settings maxed except supersampling.

38-40 fps in full 72 slot open map servers.

50 and 60fps in full 72 slot small map servers.

Difference between all previous versions of Squad and v8 is like night and day for AMD players.

My almost minimum Spec System (in V8):

2700K @ 4.4GHz

gtx580 (1.5GB)

8Gb ram (2133 speed)

Non-SSD HDD

1920x1080 mostly medium setting, only view distance and foliage set to high.

30-40 with lot of smokes and explosions

50-90 in normal gameplay.

Does anyone know any possibility as to why I drop fps from 70fps~ down to 3~5fps when I look in certain directions? This all just started to happen after the most recent update.

I7 4790k @ stocksettings

GTX970ssc

16gb ram

I did hear that the latest nvidea driver update was causing problems. I have yet to update but some people said they had to roll back to the previous driver version.

FPS: 40-90
CPU: i7 3820qm @ 3.4Ghz
GPU: GTX 780
RAM: 8GB 1600

Settings: High

Now its atleast playable. Was impossible to enjoy with my old desktop (Phenom II x4 955 @ 3.8 & 7870 @ 1180/1550). Elitebook 8570w + eGpu feels way better.

FPS: 45-60 (V-SYNC)
CPU: i5-6500
GPU: GTX 480 4gb
RAM: 8GB 2133
Res: 1920x1080
Settings: Epic (Maxed out)

I get mostly mid 50's in full games, and around 45 in heavy foliage parts of the map. Never drops below 45. In smaller areas like insurgency, I get 60fps constantly. I'm sure this is due to the recent GPU performance overhaul.

FPS 10-20
CPU: Athlon X4 860K at 3.6-9GHz
RAM: 16 GB (only one stick works so 8 for now until I get it replaced)
GPU: R7 260X, think it has 2GB VRAM
Settings all low as possible except view distance at medium since it doesn't affect FPS.

Res. 1680x1050

You have no idea how long I've wanted a gaming PC man, years have gone by and bills and everything. Now 57% of my city is unemployed and my gf is supporting me (for now) Life could certainly be better ._. I really want an i7 with a 1070. I remember my old i7 with the GTX 650 TI with BF3 and various other games and gaming with 60 fps was just so.. so much better.
