What FPS do you get playing Squad with your rig?

Recommended Posts

Fps: solid 60 (my screen's refresh rate :( )

CPU: 4790k @ 4.7ghz

GPu: 980ti SC+ @ stock (Arma shits itself no matter how high or low Oc even if all stress tests checks out. Bad Arma!!)

Res: 1440p, not tried 4k yet.

Ram: 16GB ddr3 @ 1866 xmp

Settings: epic

Saved on ssd, no crashes so far and everything runs smooth. No stutters or framedrops, even with shadowplayer running.

I am waiting to see these fps get a big jump with the animation fix on high pop servers. Fingers crossed it won't be long now.

This thread is pointless because 50 % lies about their fps, on a 72 player his fps drops below 60.

They should make a benchmark map like in arma3

I don't think it's pointless you just need people to include their details better. We know those quoting high fps are getting that on empty servers no matter their hardware or settings. It does show the hardwares potential once the game is better optimised though and shows people the level their hardware should be performing at.

This thread allows future buyers know how much FPS they may potentially receive. It's vital for the community to post their specifications for those who may wish to purchase the game in the future. So that potential future squadies may determine their in-game performance before purchase... whom also have similar specifications. Plus... knowing how much FPS others receive to determine our own parts that may need to upgrading for better FPS is good knowledge to have!~  and its fun to know what others are packing. =)

FPS: 20-30 (avg-25) (72-man servers) (Dec 2015)

FPS: 25-35 (avg 30) (72 man servers) since the optimization update (Jan-2016)

FPS: 30-40 (avg 35) (72-man servers) since the 4.0 update (Feb 2016)

FPS 24-44 (avg 35) (72-man servers) since the 5.0 update (March 2016) [Wilder/Heavier FPS-Drops, but higher FPS in general]

CPU: AMD FX 8350 OC*-4.5Ghz
GPU
: R9-280X OC*
RAM
: 8GB DDR3
Res: 1600 * 900
Settings: Low (Settings matter little in-game)

Those saying that they have always 60+ FPS on a 72 players server with 4790k+ and gtx980+ are lying.

i myself got a [email protected] and a gtx980ti and on a 72 player server, I barely get 60 steady FPS fore than 1 minute, it also get as low as 40 fps sometime......

Same here!

FPS 60-70 (50 in forest) out of combat scenery, 25 FPS inside smokes and 50ish FPS while travelling

CPU: I7 6700k @4.2Ghz

GPU: GTX 980ti

Res: 1440p

Settings: almost everything off/lowest. Res scaling 200%, shadow res highest, shadows medium

After a bit more testing I dropped res scaling down to 125%, havent tested how it affects gameplay FPS yet, but the difference it made just wasn't worth the performance hit

Used the 'Stat FPS' command in the console to monitor the fps. Not sure on the performance impact, if any.

^Hardware---------------

i7 3770 - stock speed

GTX 980 FTW

16 GB Corsair RAM 1600

WD 2TB HD

1080p w/ 60Hz display

^Settings------------------

120% Res Scale - 150% and 200% will lower frames by `10, `20 respectively.

Shadows Low, 2k res

All Post FX off

VRAM 3-4GB (Playing with this setting, heard somewhere that 4GB+ was bugged.)

Effects - Low/Medium

^Frames Per Second---------------------

On full 72 player count servers I get `20-60 frames.

I have yet to see it become totally unplayable, even with many players and effects on screen during assaults/ defense.

On lighter servers 30-50 people, it smooths out to `40-70 frames.

Empty servers are `60-90+.

At the Range it's `120-240.

I7-3770k MSI GTX 970 gaming 4g, 16gb ram. Most of the time i range from 45 to 60 fps. No AA and majority of settings at epic, i think view distance is one down from epic.

CPU: I5 -5820k stock clocks
GPU: ASUS 980 Ti Strix
RAM: 32GB DDR4
Res: 1920x1080
Settings: medium shadow - medium visibility - high effect - all the other thing disable

60-70 FPS stable on low population servers (max 50 people).

On full 60 + people servers I get 20-50 FPS.

So I did some updated benchmarking and messing around this weekend on Squad.  It really seems to be server related because I saw big differences from server to server.

Anywhere from 60fps avg to 110fps avg.
