Things we like about v13

I thought I'd take a break from complaining and make a thread about things we like about v13. Here's my list:

- Better performance

- Track and tire disabling mechanic is awesome and works great with c4

- Granular reload is awesome

- Great m4 and vehicle driving sounds (love the creaking metal)

- Bobbing when driving vehicles for more immersion

- Buffs to 30 mm (feels much more balanced) and HE

- Interesting new layers, AAS with invisible flags on routes or whatever they’re called

- More scopes for conventional forces

+ Love the new lightning

+ Increased vegetation density on Yeri and other maps is perfect

+ Engine update performance in general (although still buggy and some micro stutter)

+ Engineer Class is interesting

+ Removal of vegetation graphic settings

+ Like the lip movement. Although it looks artificial it adds to the game for me (but should be removed for dead guys)

 

Last but not least Squad is still the only game I have ever played where a bunch of people start spontaneously singing in the back of a truck xD

There's a ton of cool new features packed into this latest version. Lots of new subtle details and nuances that are easily overlooked if you're not paying attention. A lot of it is simply polishing already existing attributes but I'd say the biggest thing is what the newer version of the engine brings to the table in terms of overall performance and visual elegance.

RAAS!!!!   WOW!!! I LOVE IT!....I wouldn´t mind playing only RAAS for a couple of updates!!!

 

Performance is slightly better in my case (in some maps it´s huge!)

Much better hitreg than in V12 (still not perfect but a huge improvement)

Increased running speed

Sapper

Neutral with the buddy rally. Some people seem to hate it, Im fine with it. 

My issue with v13 is that I get A bit higher FPS but it feels like more stutters. In V12 the stutters seemed to be server side, since me and my mates stuttered at the same time, now it is client side.

- Performance (slight)

- RAAS

- Not sure what to call it, but the interaction menu/guide when playing

- More scopes/binos (I don't feel disadvantaged playing medic now)

- New vehicles

 

Looking forward to 100 player servers, Fallujah and choppers

I don't have any dislikes on v13 patch. But there are features that I hoped that should have added in V13

I like that the sprint speed is super short lived and generally a drag to experience. I like sprinting until it seems like god himself has loaded your boots down with cement and you must stop to recharge only to repeat the cycle 10 more times until you reach the objective.

I think that’s what vehicles are supposed to be for.

Vehicles are for long range commutes. I’m preposing a solution for medium range problems.
