Does it seem like proportions are a bit off at distance?

Recommended Posts

When outside and looking around, say about 200 meters, I can see certain sizes of trucks, trees, and people; however in the game at 200 meters the world seems to small. Anyone notice this? Do I just need new glasses?

Never paid attention to this type of stuff, definitely will now tho... Maybe it's just the way that UE4 renders things?

The standard Unreal Engine pawn and it's pace is very close to 1:1 ratio with real life. I've tested and verified this myself by importing USGS 10 meter heightmaps of a real world location that I've personally paced off and its correct down to the meter. Logically then all the assets are supposed to correspond to the size of the pawn so what you see at a distance should be 1:1 with real life. Monitor size factors in however.
