Optics removal/affix, keybinding???

I'm guessing there are balancing issues against it, but couldn't roles that come with optics have the option to remove/affix them on the fly using a keybinding, with realistic timings?

 

I'm not sure if removing/affixing optics is something practiced by soldiers in the field during squad ops but I figure it's something I'd do if the situation demanded.

It really is a balance thing. It's already easy enough for an optic rifleman in CQB, if you could just remove the scope on the fly there would be no downside to all to the kit. Also, I think realistically this doesn't happen but I don't really know.

It seems the Dragunov's sights are quick to detach/attach, and the soldier is supposed to do that in combat if necessary (helping the squad clean rooms). It's probably as easy to do that in the AK platform. Dunno about picatinny rails.
