So I'm playing in the firing range on Al Basrah today and it's totally playable now with 20fps. Is there a reason why sometimes I play Squad and it plays fine and at other times it's unplayable for me?

You always check frames in an actual server not firing range for accuracy

Do you think AMD will ever fix the issue with UE or if Squad will ever get better with AMD or am I doomed until I get a different system?

My dad thinks it's ridiculous that my system can't run Squad, but can run other games just fine with better graphics and etc.. It's sad to think that I have to waste more money that is needed for other things on a system that needs to play one game that is Squad when it can play other games just fine. I don't want to complain, but this needs to get fixed one way or another. I love Project Reality and I love Squad, but it is as of now unplayable for me. I just hope Post Scriptum won't be the same. :/

Please note that Squad is under-development and until full release, mid-low to low end system will always fall on bad side.

Developers are working on the optimization day by day and personally I had felt great Frame increase right after release of a11.

Generally AMD Chip-set suffer with UE4 engine too keep that in mind.

Other games as you said may be the past development stage and fully released

Following is the requirement presented by Steam as of Feb of 2018

I fully understand that, but what I was asking will AMD ever get things working with UE4 or am I doomed to get another kind of system that works better?

 You answered your own question.

If you want a PC for gaming then go for Intel/Nvidia. It's like an investment (I know) but Im sure you'll not regret it. ;)

Since the release of A11 I haven't seen any lag or stuttering as of yet. I'm am still getting 20fps or higher. Sometimes I even get up to 40fps! I don't know what you guys did, but thanks devs for helping us AMD folks out!  :)

your processor on paper is much better than mine, so im a little confused.

my loadout

GTX 970 4GB (OR 3,5 LOL)

amd phenom xII 965 black edition OC to 4ghz

i ran the new map today, full server at 50, sometimes up to 90-100 FPS.

other maps also seen a huge increase, from 20 to 40-60fps.

at v9 it was at 30avg , v10 was terrible and unplayable for me, and now v11 it plays AWESOME.

seems wierd though that, on paper your CPU should be more powerfull than mine, however  i seem to be getting better frames.

do you have the launch commands? they help me out greatly.

-sm4 -d3d10 -USEALLCORES

I got AMD that's why. AMD doesn't work well with UE4.

Your Phenom II actually has a higher IPC then Bulldozer , counting in your OC to 4 GHz  --> same frequency FX 8350 runs stock naturally gives your rig a better Performance even with the older Chip.

Squad is a IPC and Clock whore that con`t utilize many cores , thats why you can run it on an cheap I3 7300 2C4T, Skylake IPC ; 4 GHz better then on an Ryzen 1700 8C16T, bit inferio IPC, 3 Ghz
