Squad Crashing Computer On Start Up

Hi all, I've been having an issue when starting up squad for the last 2 weeks. When i start the game, it boots up gets to the menu page where you select a server, and then it crashes my whole computer. The screen goes black, fans throttle up full, and i then have to turn the pc off and back on again. There is no error message, nor blue screen which makes me think it is something to do with the game itself. I have tried verifying the game files, reinstalling, and checking Geforce Drivers. Please find the specs below:

 

OS: Windows 10, 64 bit

CPU:  Intel Core i5-4670k @3.40 ghz

GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 770 4gb

RAM: 16gb ram

 Yes, i have checked for GPU updates as well

Please do the following; 

Check the temp of your rigs under full load(especially GPU) 

The log file is not able to pull your GPU driver version. Please make sure it is up to date and tell me what version you are running at
Error message won't appear unless Squad CTD.

Hi, I monitored my GPU temp before and during the crash as seen in the picture. I booted up the game at 7 minutes past 12 and it crashed at exactly 8 minutes past which disabled my whole computer. This is shown by the lack of data in the screenshot, but before this my GPU is running at a very reasonable 40 degrees. I have also measured the CPU to be around 45 degrees as well.

Hey All, 

I have been experiencing crashes only happening while trying to play squad. only while playing squad. All other games work Fortnite, PUBG, Tarkov, Arma, etc.. The game loads and as soon as it tries loading the main menu, my computer screen goes blank and my fans spool to their highest speed and i have to hard restart the computer. When I turn the system back on my computer tell me display driver failure. but its only this game! I am just stumped and upset because i finally found a game that involves teamwork and not just randos running around getting killed over and over.

If it's just a black screen, try waiting it out for a minute. Squad's first load can be a little long. After it loads, going into settings and look for Texture Streaming. Flipping this can help with load times.

 

Updating drivers is always a good idea too. If that doesn't do it, please feel free to reach out to support@joinsquad.com. If you can, include your PC specs (CPU, GPU, RAM) and what you've tried so far. They should be able to help get you sorted. =)
