Personally I am very Exited for the Insurgency new Approach and I expect this will carry on for those who are Expecting a Fierce British and American Russian Arsenal because of new weapon mods and Tech that these Factions carry, I admit that using these Camos are amazing but when you don't expect to Fight your worst Nightmares! Beleive me that when I mean this because The militias are ready for whenever the invasions are happening Locked N loaded Straped  ready. I admit that The Close Range CQC has been quite exiting but I expect a new Class some time around Maybe giving the Scouts and Specialist in Jumping Roofs and Setting up Trip Wires.

I must be TRIPPEN BALZ on this Blue For, ask yourself what Faction are you! Supprise Song for the Squad Community-Nemesis25.jpgAl-qaeda-600x315.jpg

Thats because gatzby posts it as hidden while he formats it and makes sure everything is tickety boo before unhiding it and unleashing it.

Heh, can confirm. Unhid the thread at roughly 8:15 Pacific this mornin', first reply was a few minutes after that. (Presumably enough time for Bash to get some smelling salts arranged.)

This is some badass content but the T-building was the most surprising :P

The missing 6 on the watch is clearly a hint...

The artists are artists, they don't code, and our QA team tests fixes.

Ok, so am I correct that you’re not doing Scrum despite what your Jira config suggests? Are you following some other methodology? Anyway, probably off topic here but ping me on Discord if you like. Happy to help if I can.

Are we really getting watch? That would be awesome! It would be much easier to coordinate attacks from different directions at same time

Great recap

Beta stage is generally when all major features have been implemented in the game, and it's time for tuning of features and optimization. Considering that MBTs, new factions and air assets aren't even close to being in the game yet... it would make no sense to move to a "beta" phase.

Just curious. Are you guys working with the devs from post scriptum? They have bolt action rifles in their game and working tanks. Why not help each other in development so both games get released quicker. Both of you guys would make more money releasing fully developed games rather than charging a partial amount for what its really worth and being stuck in early access hell.

PS started as a mod of Squad, moved to stand alone.  Think of it as a branch from the squad tree.

As a Brit i couldn't help but notice the dovetail to picatinny mount for the ACOG, I understand that they were used in that configuration for a time and that the ACOG is probably placeholder, but the current issue optic for regular soldiers is the  SpecterOS 4× Lightweight Day Sights with a red dot sight on top, looking at the British Army website this is also used on the LSW. Also there isn't the vertical fore grip with integrated bipod nor the rail covers that are pretty standard. As far as I know from when i used the L98A2 (the semi-auto cadet variant) the changing of apertures never actually changed the zero, the small aperture had 200 (i assume for 200m) marked on it and as i was instructed the larger aperture was just for low light.

I also assume that the M240 is again placeholder for the GPMG. Cant wait to see that along with the minimi and the Glock and whatever great stuff you have coming down the line,  i'm really looking forward to this along with A10.

Yes I understand that. I just noticed ps has planes too. Was thinking both teams would get things done faster if they just shared coding talents with each other as it is the same engine.

I hope this is not the final version of the armored technicals Аrtists need a little investigation about improvised armored vehicles.

The code for planes/airstrikes existed in Squad before PS, so it's probably safe to assume they shared it, it's my understanding that there is good cooperation between the two teams, so I would expect advances would be made available to each other. The armor in PS shares the same ability to drift as the armor in Squad, so presumably, other than the meshes, nothing is different. The main difference that you see with PS is that they can focus on content and not  writing the underlying code, OWI is doing much of that heavy lifting on their end. So, they've got a lot of content in place already, we don't know what OWI has or doesn't yet have on the shelf.

Don't you worry, sir. We're well aware. The plan is to deploy the ELCAN sights to the British troops when the army has more funds ;)

Hi, great to see the Brit's are coming along. Bolt release, forward assist, love it!
Request: can you please move the iron sights to the rear on the dovetail so that it doesn't obsure the sight picture the way it's depicted in the range video. It's way too obtrusive at the moment. As unfunny_comedian said the large aperture was only intended for low light conditions.

It's actually a very similar situation with the G3 in game. You feel like you're looking down the sights from way too far back which makes aiming difficult without using the time limited zoom.

G3 is an awesome piece of kit and the HK diopter sights are top notch, so rather compromised just now. 3840x2160 resolution. Can you ask your artists to give it some love :)

Minimi and maybe L129A1 in the future?

The large one is used for night or in poor visibility so you might want that larger aperture on a few of the maps.

I believe the L110A1 is still coming and the plan is to replace the LSW with the L129A1 down the line. The LSW may remain as a choice for marksman and/or LMG in the future if you're mental enough to want to pick it over the other weapons.

Thanks, sounds great. Appreciate everyone's efforts.

Sections with Charlie and Delta fireteams in the interface?

This game is so flippin good.

At what point do you call it "Beta" instead of "Alpha" and then call the pre-release/special testing versions "Alpha"?  If you ask me it should not be called Alpha 9 and Alpha 10 right now, but Beta 9 and Alpha 10 (when you let us test it a while back,) and when you release it, your Alpha 10 goes to Beta 10.

It's time to ditch the Alpha moniker except for those special versions we get to test for a week.  This game is so polished, it's better than many GA games.

Great to see that many variations for Insurgency clothing.
