Just bought the game, can't find servers or use firing range.

I do believe you have to run the launcher so that EAC starts correctly for online.

Thats the goal but when I run the game from the launcher I get no servers/cant use the range. But now by running the game from the squad.exe I can see servers (cant join servers as EAC doesn't launch) and use the range so either its my launcher thats kaput or as you mention in one of your first post its the EAC thats being the culprit.

I tried the EAC guide in my previous post, didn't work.

It's worth a shot to re-install EAC from the Squad\EasyAntiCheat setup. Make sure you have exceptions for it with any firewall and anti-virus as well. I know you said you disabled them in the past though. I've had it before with a game where I had to Alt+Tab back to desktop from fullscreen to accept some input for the game to run properly.

Ill try it again gladly, now i know what the likely issue is I am determined to solve it.

I wouldn't get to excited as I am still inclined to believe it a Steam thing.

Yea I reinstalled EAC again, disabled my firewall completely and its not working. So at least I can use the range till I get this sorted.

Can you use CCleaner or Glary Utilities to clean out any reference for Steam from your system before re-installing. Clean it from your disk and registry.

Thanks to all that have helped to try to fix my problem, I have tried everything I have found/has been suggested to me and still cant get this game running. So after 5 days of trying I give up going in circles I have been refunded. Unfortunate as I was looking forward to being a part of this community and playing this game, good luck everyone and thanks.

Mike.

Sorry to see you go. I don't believe it's a problem with Squad itself so I hope the problem doesn't manifest itself with your other titles in the future. You might consider trying Squad again in the future, perhaps after v10 or later on down the dev path. There should be other free weekends in Squads future you could give a try to test the water.
