[SOLVED] EAC Time Out/Disconnect

Hey guys,

 

I have following issue since 9.10:

 

On the first start of the game, I can join and play one complete round very normally.

On the start of the second round on the same server, or when I leave and join another server, I have an EAC unknown error (on Windows, not an ingame alert) and shortly after, I disconnect from the server due to EAC time out, this time with an ingame notice.

 

I am using Windows 10 and already deleted the AppData files after the update.

 

Does anybody have the same issue?

Hmm, strange.
Haven't heard of that particular problem before.

 

Have you already rebooted the PC?
reinstalled EAC? https://offworldindustries.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/221442887-Easy-Anti-Cheat-Errors

Not sure if that helps.

Thanks for your help.

 

I tried a complete reinstall of Squad including deleting the AppData folder of Squad, and it seems like the problem is gone.

in case someone stumbles upon this thread and is wondering about a complete/clean reinstall of Squad:

Spoiler
  1. manually delete %localappdata%\Squad

  2. uninstall Squad via Steam
  3. manually delete remaining folders in Squad installation directory
    default: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Squad
  4. install Squad via Steam
  5. reboot PC

 

problem solved. - locking thread.
