[WIP] West Bank Map [IDF]

Recommended Posts

Note: I didn't post this to mapping due to the fact that it is more of a test map than a playable one. I do hope to complete a game map based on this in the future but at the moment I am just working on it to improve my skills. Suggestions or constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

Also, I have no experience in modeling so if anyone wants to help contribute to this map (and maybe an IDF mod in the future) let me know.

Nice start!

Looks like you have some static lights in there still though :)

I just plopped the terrain into the UE4 starter map. Still don't know enough to make my own lighting that looks decent.

Edit: Replaced the old lighting with lighting from the SDK.

you could easily populate this map with existing assets from Squad. I do like the ground texture quite a bit and the terrain looks to be quite interesting as well. nice work so far ;)

Thanks! I've been using foliage from the SDK to populate the map. Assets such as buildings are going to be modeled from scratch since they are in a different style that what currently exists in Squad. Still have a while till I add those because the terrain isn't entirely finished yet.
