I've been having this problem for a while, even before 9.6, but after the update I can't play a full match without Squad suddenly closing as if I had pressed [Alt+F4]. No error messages pop up. The logs themselves have more errors and warnings than normal processes. Yes, I've verified Steam files, reinstalled Dx, cleared local cache data, etc. One warning in particular that occurs every time is a "LogParticles:Warning: Stalled gamethread waiting for particles" that has to do with "BTR80_Temperature_Parameterized.BTR80_Temperature_Parameterize" on every map. I've also submitted  support tickets but haven't gotten any feedback, so I'm posting here too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Simplicity

I am curious about the log file.

In order to get the latest log file including the crash:

  1. delete all files and folders in the Logs-folder (C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Squad\Saved\Logs)
  2. reproduce the crash
  3. upload the latest created log file to eg. http://www.tinyupload.com/
  4. upload the latest created UE4Minidump.dmp inside the UE4CC-* folder
  5. share links here

thank you for the files.
unfortunately I cannot really help you here... :/

it needs more investigation.

this line from the log file is probably for troubleshooting interesting:

Quote

[2017.07.17-20.37.50:504][576]LogWindows:Error: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0xffffffff

please contact [email protected]

  • describe your problem (e.g. copy&paste first post)
  • attach both files (alternatively add download links of the two files)
  • add link to this thread

maybe add, that a few other guys get an almost similar looking message in the log file. the address is different:

Quote

[...]Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000088
