Squad crashing on spawn in screen

Recommended Posts

Hey, I have an issue with Squad. Every single time I open the spawn in screen, my game crashes and I get an Unreal Engine error. I used to play Squad perfectly fine, but only recently have I gotten this error. I have tried EVERYTHING. I have tried to reinstall the game and sit through the painfully slow download of 500kb/s, I have tried to reinstall Easy Anti Cheat, I have tried to delete Squad's config, I have tried running in compatibility mode, I have tried running it as an administrator. I have tried absolutely everything under the planet. I find this bull as you should not have so many troubles just trying to launch a game. I have another issue that when I try to join a server, once joined fully,  I automatically get kicked and go to the main menu with no kick message whatsoever. Please help me as soon as possible, I have wasted way too much of my time trying to fix this god damn issue. Here's my specs:

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Intel Core i7-6800K 3.40 GHz (12 CPUs)
5 TB Total Storage
16 GB Ram
21:9 inch monitor (2560x1080)

This is what happens when I try to open the spawn screen (Squad.log)

Hello and welcome to Squad @GlorifiedPig,

sorry, I cannot really help you here... :/
it needs more investigation:

[2017.07.15-09.51.06:819][158]LogWindows:Error: Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000088

If you cannot upload the huge dumpfile, please remove the -fullcrashdump from the launch properties

then, create a new logfile and crashdump (a smaller one):

  1. remove everything in the Logs folder.
  2. reproduce crash
  3. upload the latest created log file
  4. upload the latest created UE4Minidump.dmp inside the UE4CC-* folder

contact [email protected]

  • describe your problem (e.g. copy&paste first post)
  • attach files (alternatively add download links of the two files)
  • add link to this thread

maybe add, that a few other guys get the same error message:

[...]Unhandled Exception: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x00000088

Thanks for the help. I sent them an email. Here's the crash dump if you need it.

Are there any updates? I've updated my drivers and everything but nothing seems to be working STILL. I can't even get into one single game for it to work, it crashes every time.

Are you running any overclocks on your CPU/GPU?

I was getting the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error logged, it turned out to be my CPU core voltage being set too low.

More details:

Nope. Too scared to overclock in case my GPU breaks or some shit while I'm not looking, happened to my brother before when he was younger and I can't afford to lose the GFX card.
