What setting can I run it on.

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about getting the game and wanted to know how well I could run it.

Specs:

Intel I7 quad core - 3630QM CPU @ 2.40ghz

8gb ram

GTX 660M

direct X 12

248 gb free memory

....

If I can't run it may you suggest what upgrades I should get. Thank you.

The game will run, my guess would be at 35-45fps on medium settings.

For the best experience turn everything off or low, then tweak up to taste and see what happens to FPS.

This is a laptop right?

No a little lower. I'm on a i7 6700hq and gtx 1060 and i only get 20-40 in game, and in fights its more like 15-25. I would hold off on this game. It's really un-optimized at the moment.

I think you should expect something around 25-34 fps, depends on map.

It's a CPU oriented game, the higher Ghz on single core you can get the better. GPU also seems a bit weak for SQUAD...

Depending on the speed (2333mhz? 3000mhz?) of your RAM (which apparently does affect FPS in squad), you should be able to comfortably achieve 30-60 fps on low to medium details. Pushing the details higher will probably end up being bottlenecked by the GPU, but it's a rough ballpark. The FPS could be higher, but I like to estimate conservatively.

Edit: My desktop PC with slightly higher specs performs as follows:

With those specs, I still feel confident on my previous prediction of somewhere between a playable 30-60fps on low to medium settings. You'll probably have to play around to find a good balance between CPU/GPU bottlenecking. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to throw out a number, I would say 40fps average (with bursts higher) on medium graphics... but you won't really know until you try the game yourself :)

i did buy and play, so fps is ok, but i got lag, in server my ping ok, at the mucht start no lag until fight starts, explosions, shots and its freeze sametime for a moment like to tree, twoseconds, i read  forum and found disable radio, turn off steam, shadows low, i copy paste to the bottom of squad files, it was at config i think, texture files,  i did everything at low and off, still get that freeze in battle, and fps like jump to red, in that moment, soory for my English,

You should start a new thread to ask for support :)

Also, refund the game if you can't fix the problems before you've played 2 hours. If you play more than 2 hours, steam won't let you refund.
