"glitch" access to a roof in storage site of yehorivka

ok i don't know how to load a specific map to show you screens (yea worst noob ever i know) but i've been playing a game in wich americans got onto a roof by a tiny 20 centimeters kind of "catwalk". This building is in the southern part of storage site on yehorivka map, it's a red brick building.

In order to get to the roof you got to go up the stairs to a lower roof and use the catwalk, and then you arrive to another roof where you must build sandbags as a squad leader to access the highest roof. There you can place a hab and everything you need, all your team spawns here while under mortar fire but it doesn't matter because it's a 5 flags map and the storage site is the middle one so if you have it, all you got to do is to wait under mortar fire and shoot the russians below.

I really don't know if it was intended but i'm pretty sure not, so you better check it out. And if it was intended that wasn't a good idea in my opinion because there is only one access to the roof by a sandbag which can be removed so no one can ever get access to it. not to mention the catwalk way which is impossible to walk on because as soon as you get on the corner and show up you'll get shot from multiple directions.

If someone can tell me how to launch a solo game i can post screens if you like.

Simply sounds like you and your team got outsmarted. That's one of the interesting features of Squad I like. When people think of creative ways to kill you that means your gameplay is way too linear and you need to learn and adapt.

Yeah, with deployables (building blocks, essentially) you can do all sorts of stuff outside the box. I think you need to file that one away for future reference, maybe use it to your advantage, directly or indirectly.

Maybe the Devs can look at allowing HAB/FOB 's be only deployable on a suitably supportive surface, ie: concrete - not tin/tiles. At least that way they cannot gain a silly advantage, like you describe.

I call that being creative. I hope they add different size ladders, maybe the grappling hook from PR, and deploy-able bridges (basically long thick planks of wood) that allow you to get across gaps between rooftops.

I think there should be testing of areas inside capture range to help prevent an exploit which might make the game less fun because of an inevitable outcome.

Outside of cap areas I think any access should allowed, and encouraged. building stuff is great fun and adds variety to every game.

Yes i agree.

Any dev passing by to tell me if it's intended or not ?

While i agree with you on the severals building stuffs you mentioned, i disagree when it comes to creativity because it was mostly an exploit. Too bad i can't show you pictures because you'd agree with me. To go to the roof where you should build blocks to get on the highest roof, you got to go through a silly glitchy path where you got to stick to the wall to walk on the catwalk, and visually, your feet are in the air, the "hitbox" of your character allows you to walk on this thing but visually you should fall.

Hell man, you know how many times I got into Radio Tower on Chora by building 3x rows of sandbags to use as ladders....That's why I love squad, just because there's no OBVIOUS way of getting to (or through) a point doesn't mean you can't make one.....
