If the US is getting Hawks, what are the Insurgents going to have?

I kept searching the internet about "Insurgent" groups manning or piloting helicopters i couldn't seem to find any result for 2 days

I mean yes the AA is available for everyone basically any insurgent or any army in the world has AA's but i never saw Taliban members with a Hind

Can anyone give me a logic answer to this question :P

I am 99% sure Taliban will not get helicopters. They do not use them IRL and even if they did the US would shoot them out of the air so ****ing fast that the few they even started with would no longer exist. They'll just get AA trucks, RPGs, ect. to deal with them.

Just like insurgents will have the perks of high speed and a variety of unconventional tactics, the US gets to enjoy a conventional high-tech approach.

First I was going to say "I'm 99.9% sure that insurgents won't get helicopters!". I think I'm actually 100% sure. Insurgents will probably have more deployables and more surface to air weapons to balance things.

What the Insurgents will get is the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to stay right where they are on the ground and shoot AKs at the helicopters from a distance. That's the fun thing about the Insurgency mode, it's asymmetrical. Blufor get all kinds of high tech toys, and insurgents get bomb cars.

I'm sure they wont have any Air power, but I imagine they will have their fair share of AA capabilities

MANPAD and AAA. Because as much as i like clashes between the regular/conventional armies - asymmetric warfare is awesome too!

Insurgents are meant to adopt guerilla tactics. Giving them an opportunity to gain air superiority would make guerilla tactics secondary. In AAS I think options for guerilla warfare are limited because the mode is quite linear but in the Insurgency mode it's much more doable to go guerilla.

Poor training, lack of resources and infrastructure, money, they prefer to hide, they would get shot down miles before their objectives....

How about actual ABIED hawks trained to fly into helicopters?
