Seeing someone messing around to make a neat SQ controlled gun run is pretty amazing! @Axton Phenomenal job with using blueprints making that A10 experience. Hope to see more in the future. Also digging your other blueprint endeavors.

My idea on implementing the A-10 in game:

-At least one FOB must be active

-7~ min timer until A-10 is active

-A-10 has 4 uses with 2~ min team wide cool down

-A-10 is on Station for 10~ min followed by a 15~ min cd

-can only be called in if SL and 1 other squad member are alive (possibly make a new support role?)

No thanks. I'd rather leave it to AI. If it was player controlled, the game would be less tactical and "Squad" based play, in my opinion. 

But if this were something to be implemented, I definitely think it would be a good idea that you either needed to build a radio/coms station with build points, spend a third category of points (like "build points") that would allow you to use this feature, with a cooldown.

The Squad SDK pretty much has the same capabilities as UE4, so yeah.. you can dive in and make AI. Some people have already done some tests a while back and it worked fine!

 

As for how @Axton did it, I don't think it's even AI based, rather just something more simple like events in a specific order (player calls it in, a delay with sound effects, mesh (A-10) spawns in etc). I could be wrong though. :D
