Sorry I meant that they rather consistently put out updates between 2-4 months after the previous one. They are, as you say, potentially behind schedule in terms of features/content compared to what was originally envisioned, although honestly that's usually the case with game development due to feature creep and unexpected complications (netcode requiring rewrite etc).

Beta, mid of this year?

 

I'm a little confused, as I was under the impression that final release was expected for mid 2017?

With regards to fastropes they probably mean: 'We're implementing the mechanics so that they can be used when helo's are implemented'.

 

I'm more interested in update to VOIP system. One of the devs mentioned on Ruddit it's one of the oldest systems in the game and needs an overhaul. It's definitely showing it's age now... I am looking forward to the VOIP lag reduction as coordinating between gunner and driver is prooving to be difficult. Any chance for seeing an improvement in V9?

They mentioned they aren't considering helis until close to the 1.0 release. Got a while for that Hype train lol.

  • More performance optimizations
  • New animations implemented
  • Improved hit registration

For V9 I think we wil see the following:

 

- New Insurgent Models based on Syria/Iraq wars, no more taliban

- US Stryker

- IEDs

- Mines

- Further Expanded existing maps

- New map: Eastern European?

For V10: 

- New faction: British Armed Forces

- New Animation System

- New Weapons system

- Mortars

- More light armored vehicles, possibly the first addition of heavy vehicles
