UK leaves EU and Prime Minister resigns

Recommended Posts

So I find out 1st thing this morning, UK leaving EU and Prime Minister has resigned.

I wonder how this will affect the exchange rates. Even xe.com website is down lol.

52% voted to leave the EU. How undivided and misguided is this country? What did I vote? I didn't. Never voted in my life, as I do not follow politics at all to understand the implications and knock on affect of a rash decision. Lets see how things pan out.

Jokes - Glad I got the graphics card & Vive I've been saving up for a long time before this happened. Thank you for Steam Summer sales.

I got a place in Spain & my exchange rate from £ to € sucks at the moment.

UK Independence Day...A new beginning,a new day.

We haven't even left the EU yet so anything that happens in the next few months is just a knee jerk reaction.

Can't wait to see how much we progress without the chains and ties of the EU restricting us.

You really should vote though. It's a privilege that many don't have.

I choose not to vote for numerous reasons...

• MP's falling asleep live on TV. Screaming and shouting at each other like children

• MP's possibly having about 20 people in the houses of parliament during discussions of war, famine and other important topics. Then when it comes to reviewing their salaries, there isn't a single seat spare and it's rammed. That goes to show they're purely in it for the money.

• Just because I have the privilege doesn't mean I have to. It's a choice. I get the principle of politics, I hear and catch glimpses of it on news/radio/people around me. The majority that voted probably don't understand the ramifications, implications of what this ripple affects further down the line. Great example being a city in NE England, voted to leave and yet 6500 jobs are in a car manufacturer that is EU based lol.

The exchange rates will level and balance off again, this is definitely a knee jerk reaction. It worries people though and some might the wrong decisions at the wrong time due to these reactions. Hysteria and panic kicks in, but that's how people differ and react to outcomes. Ahh we will see what happens by October anyhow.

It works both ways though. There's been plenty businesses and companies that have gone bust since joining the EU from the strains it has put on us.

We were fine before we joined in '73, we will be fine afterwards. We just need to get past the initial hammering that the EU will give us "to send a message" and the country will blossom.

Although there are far too many people with ill-informed opinions sprouting their shit on social media, it's disturbing.

Idiot vote won.

Whats next? Is queens speech started by "The Queen of the Seperated Kingdom of Britain"?

What an insane vote.

And I really hope that NIR and SCO will leave Britain and the "Isolated Isle Part" will suffer by bad economy, unemployment and a lack of beer, cause this is whats coming next, this is what the 52% of Britains deserve.

Bad for the other 48%, most of them youngsters, for the imbecility of their parents, neightbours and  relatives... Seems that the young gen  knows better than the old right-winged ones.

Today my jam tastes bitter.

Yea because we were such a poor country, on our knees and crying to be saved prior to joining the EU :S I forgot we were Greece.

"Seems that the young gen  knows better than the old right-winged ones." Do you forget that it was the old right winged generation that voted the UK to join the EU in 1973??

Times are changing, the EU isn't what it was, or what it promised to be. The country has already been ruined by the EU's financial demands and restrictions on trade.

Time to move forward and go back to looking after ourselves.

Lol, uhu.. You have no idea what you are talking about, and are probably are one of those 52% who have no idea what it meant to be ''part'' of the EU, and what it will mean not to be part of it. You probably are also one that believes that propaganda bullshit where it says ''WE ARE PAYING XXX MILLIONS TO EU EVERY WEEK, HELP IT STOP''...

Enjoy the collapse of your economy.

^this will definitely have effects. Thrust is main principle in economy (especially in free market). Very, veeery important one. Really strange that UK choose that path. Makes me wonder if its true will of nation. 52%... really? Census shouldn't be 51% on such important questions. It would be better to be around 80% or so since this is important decision to make. Instead trying to unite, you choose to separate which is silly in today times (since so close to EU land and economy tangled in so many ways to EU countries; far away are times of colonies). Don't like conspiracy theories but whole thing sure looks as strange move. One thing is sure, this will destabilize whole region...

And yes, I'm mad... The only way the world will go into the right direction is if we unite more and more.. Then this fucking shit happens

EU isn't always a matter of picking what's best for myself. I donnot agree with the EU by everytime. Esp. in concernes of CETA/TTIP. But leaving will be a bit mistake. Thats whats RUS and putin wants a weak EU. Hey, here we go....

I'm talking about restrictions on trade and manufacturing.

A breed of cattle in Italy has issues, so that MUST mean that the UK can't use that breed for ANYTHING. Really?

Cod fisherman have to have 2x1 metre holes in their nets, as per EU law. Really?

These are just two of many examples of the way the EU has ruined our industries. Is no one surprised by the steady decline of our manufacturing and production since joining the EU?

Yep.. This is exactly what I meant..

I wish the 52% people of England would Educate them selves on this matter before voting. But oh well.. Anyways, this is the current democracy.. People voting without having a single clue on what they vote for. But they just believe the propaganda commercials..

Yet I've seen nothing contradicting what I've said.

I take it you voted to remain? Care to enlighten us on why remaining was such an obvious choice?
