GPU Problems.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys... So I have been having this problem (only on certain games.)

System Specs.

4th Gen Intel Core i5

8GB Ram

AMD R9 280X 3GB OC edition

750w Corsair CS PSU

When I play games like BF4, Rust etc. I play for like 30min thegame will freeze and then it displays a message that say "AMD Drivers has stopped working and has recovered" which pisses me off... It all started after I got my new PSU and switched cases.

Any help would be awesome.

I have used most tips and tricks on google but nothing seems to do the job :(

Otherwise, uninstall your AMD Drivers. Reinstall new drivers.

OKI will do so... on google forums etc. They say to increase voltage etc... But that was a load of crap.

Thanks for the help.

If it was a thing that I was needed to gain the original voltage to get my card stable. Then I would send the graphics card back and asked for a new one.

limit your fps.. for rust hit F1 type limit.fps "31" or fps.limit "31" for a global fps limit "every game", you have to download an application for your AMD graphics card. Try AMD overdrive or MSI Afterburner.

I had a problem with a 2 X 12V rail PSU not supplying the huge 300w needs of my 970. Would crash under heavy load with 3Dmark benchmark and a few games, marked in the event viewer as a kernel power 41 code.

Big thread on my diagnostic adventures:
