"...going to be unveiled tomorrow...."

What?! How did I miss that?

Edit: apparently there is a big chance that it is indeed tomorrow, to accompany the reveal of Battlefield 5.

Yup!  If I didn't already have two 980ti's I'd be all over this. It's exciting when the rumors come so fast and frequent preceding new releases.  :D

Much more important the GTX 1070 will come with enough RAM

So i hope it will be the time to upgrade my GTX 750Ti

I feel like this will be a good time for those hanging on to 7xx series cards to upgrade.  Pascal seems legit and will definitely perform well.

I wonder how much this will cost. *Puts 980 up for sale for $500*

Nvidia will introduce to more normal prices, but if they pronounce them they would have now less buyer. So the actuall buyer of the 9xx series think. "next series is much more expensive, bether i buy now"

Exactly. I'm currently running a GTX760, so I'm extremely interested in these new developments :D

Rumors say that the 1070 will be ready for VR

Nothing i plan to buy, but if i buy the 1070 i want to stay with her for at least 3-4 Years.

So maybe this is a interesting kontext

1080 is looking promising, makes me wonder what the 1080ti will have to offer. 20% gain on a 980ti is pretty great. That makes me tempted to replace my 980 already, but if that purchase taught me anything, it's that patience garners the best deal. ^_^

For Squad its better to invest in a good cpu.

I7 7700K or wait for cannon lake.

I have a decent i5 cpu, so I'm thinking that upgrading my gtx760 is a pretty good idea :D

Off course, you might be right there. But why buy that card when there's new, shiny stuff on the horizon? :)

Edit: I have actually been saving up the past half year for this moment!

Next generation after that GTX 11xx will have much bether performance per watt.

Maybe you will wait to mid 2018 before you replace your system

I bought my first 980 off eBay for $450 2 months before the 980ti released.  o.O

I'm all about the 1080ti.  Recent discussions are saying that the 1080 does not beat the 980ti but is equal to it in performance.  I'm so excited to see the custom PCBs on these.  /drool

@Switch0r basing any hardware decisions on Squad performance right now is a complete waste of time. Who knows what the most important component will be once we have UE4.11, netmove, updated aims, TrueSky. Of all my time in gaming it's generally the gpu that give you your biggest gains in performance when upgrading and I don't expect that to change once Squads code is in a better place. I don't believe Squad should be any more cpu intensive than games like BF once the code is optimised.

I'm happy with my 980 Ti SC ACXs

I'll wait a year or so, then buy. No point buying something when what you've already got is more than enough to play everything maxed out for the next few years.
