Hi,

If you try to start the game, just as a test, directly from: Steam/SteamApps/common/Squad/Squad/Binaries/Win64/Squad.exe, does the game main window pop up? Or does it exit during the splash screen before the game's own window would get created? Do you get any error dialog?

I got a window saying title "Squad.exe- Bad Image" body "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCP140.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing that program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator of the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc000012f." thank you so much for responding sorry I work all week hard to get time to read this.

It looks like Windows is unable to load the Visual C++ runtime library, needed for Squad to run.

Does installing both x64 & x86 versions from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 help?

Also install https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/download/details.aspx?id=40784 this one still.

no luck.. they all said they were already installed

Hi,

Please try the solution here:

I've debugged this issue on couple of machines and they all had the same error. Squad was unable to start, even when started directly from the game executable itself (no EAC). It seems that there is some incompatible Visual C++ 2015 x64 runtime out there that needs to be uninstalled and re-installed with the version from Microsoft's download site.

I hope this helps!
