Snailer's Foot Tracks v0.2- Blueprint SDK mod

 

 

 

Hey community, I got someone for you:

This function will add footprint tracks in your SoldierAnimBP blueprint, you will just need to copy the files and it will work!

 

(I have to say it, I know, it sounds badly)

Please be advice that this is an individual initiative and not related and/or suggested by OWI, use at your own risk.

Features
Activate footprint tracks with a blueprint function, with the following options:

  1. Boolean variable to activate it
  2. Boolean variable to debug when a foot hits the ground (and print it on the screen)
  3. Float variable to set the lifetime of the track's decals

 

v0.2 Solved issues

  1.  Footprint visible trought player model : STATUS FIXED

Sweet! I am glad somebody finally got around to doing this, it's a feature that would be a must-have for snow maps.

Very nice work man! And done in so little time! SDK has been out under a week and were already seeing tons of awesome stuff out of the community, can't wait to see where wel be even just a couple months down the road.

This would work great with snow maps because you could trade the performance hit off with increasing fog, which naturally happens in snowy conditions.

There is a float variable for that, it's explained on the video, actually XD. Maybe not so well

 

If you change the green variabile (which is called something like Track Lifetime) default value to:

0 = they will last forever

>0  = duration in seconds

Add a Bigfoot texture!....... xD

 

Very cool OP, look forward to seeing this. I skipped through the tutorial, sorry if I missed it, but Is it material dependent? So, it only would show up on appropriate soft surfaces?

That would be fun.

 

Might need a sandle footprint for the Insurgents though. That's unless they have mil spec sandles.

Not material dependent yet, I'll wait for the new SDK to implement that 9_9
