Admin ban command problem

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with the ban command.

example  ;   AdminBanByld 1 1M Trolling .

Error  'AdminBanByld': Bad or missing property 'BanLength'

Where am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the answers

You have to type our command exactly as it is listed in the console tooptip for the command you're typing in.  In your case: AdminBanById <PlayerId> "<BanLength>" <BanReason>

i.e. AdminBanById 76561198031648022 "1m" Trolling

You're forgetting to use the quotations for the ban length, basically.

@Devon is right here. The best way to do a ban currently is this:

Issue the command:

listplayers

Example Output:
>>> listplayers <<<
----- Active Players -----
0 SteamID: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Name: jrwebster
----- Inactive Players -----

You are looking for the id on the left, the 0.

Issue the command:

AdminBanById 0 "1w" Teamkilling

The quotes around the length of the ban are important. Examples of legnth of time are: 1d, 1w, 0 (1d = 1day, 1w = 1week, 0=perm).

If you have any other questions, let me know @Woape

While you have the right idea, note there is a HUGE difference between 1m and 1M

Ah, well, it was just an example, firstly.  And second, I wasn't aware of the case-sensitivity given the lower-case of the others.  Thanks for the correction.
