This is like the most intense footage I have ever seen of our boys in Afghanistan.

It is said in the comment that an ANA soldier got killed, when does that happened ?

Is that the felin scope ?

Yup, on FRF2, french army snipers.

The felin is very impressive.

Edit : i never saw a footage of FELIN, i think the French Defence Minister keep it secrets so ennemy (and ally) can't counter it.

Is there many sense of 7.62mm bolt action rifles?

I think HK417 would be better with it.

338 or higher - is the best option for it IMO.

BTW.

57mm autocannon pod Baykal.Based on ship anti air gun.Effective combat range around 8km against Air targets.Perspective module for T-14 and T-15.

You notice when the insurgent gets out of the room and starts shooting? I am pretty sure it was the lead ANA soldier that got hit.

When you see that ANA guy's gun get shot (when you see sparks everywhere), he runs out the door, which you cannot see on the camera, but as he did that, a Insurgent shot him in the back.

We also have the PGM Hecate, 12.7 mm.

The FRF2 is i think used in medium range (800m). Beyond, we use the Hecate.

And the HK417 and 416 is going to replace the FAMAS in the common infantry.

Really? I thought the FAMAS was a pretty good rifle.

But HK417 with 20' Sniper barrel provide same accuracy, but it's semi automatic.

For 338 and higher caliber - I understand usage of bolt. But 7.62 bolt action rifle... even Magnum... today already create semi-automatic rifles, provides same accuracy.

If it's good, why GIGN used weapon like SIG553?
