Hi all!

 

I was just watching the russian WW2-End anniversary parade and saw some mobile radarplatforms rolling through.

 

Well i guess you already know where i am heading from here.

 

I think it would be an awesome task for one of the squads to dedicate to get an Intelligence base up and running. Deploying assests that then can be used by the commander.

Radar, deploying drones. Maybe even communications?

 

I totally understand that this is something for faaaar down the line, but i wanted to make sure to put that idea out there.

- negative aspect    = possible solution+ positive aspect

Also what other aspects could be handled by this squad?
So far radar, drones, communication are up for discussion.

 

List:

- boring to operate station                                                           

      = fly drones manualy (Morbo513)

- once build it can handle itsself pretty well if no player required

- communications are essential to basic gameplay

+ player driven feature instead of "AI"

I would like to see the UAV make a return, and having it as an asset that must be deployed would be pretty interesting. Even more interesting would be for it to require a pilot and an observer (Who're obviously in the UAV station). But nothing that "magically" highlights enemy positions on the map or whatever a la BF2/2142/3/4

Ok. So at least 2 others think thats not a too bad idea.

 

I dont want to offend anyone but as much as agreeing helps the devs see that we want sth. like it  - disagreeing is even better!

Why is this a bad idea? What concerns do you have?

 

Lets be really critical about it. Every feature like that translates to money and time spend for development and implementation. So to figure out early what would be wrong is possibly the best thing that we as a community can do to support the developers. Its not realistic to imagine a endless list of features to be implemented.
