Squad Code Words

Recommended Posts

So I got this idea from the radio man thread and made these up to help squads maybe communicate better while on the battle field. Feel free to come up with some and share. :)

Squad Code Words

1. (RTB) code for return or retreat to closest base.

2. (Crash) Rally is going down do not spawn on RP.

3. (Trench) Dig in and defend the line.

4. ( Trench and burn) Dig in air support called in on this coordinate.

5. (Bayonet) Charge the CP.

6. (Crazy Ivan) Turn and flank left or right.

7. (Topgun) Sniper in area take cover and gall back or regroup.

8. (Hero) Fallen squadmate needs medical revive now.

What can you come up with?

I have trouble getting people to understand what Firecodes Red and Green mean, but these codewords are a lot to expect from random players.

As for in-clan-communications, they most likely already worked out precise comms.

Neat idea but probably not gonna be used much :/

Heres CB code just using numbers.

Get a Grip on 10 Codes Used in CB Lingo & Radio Code

The Most Commonly Used 10 Codes

When getting started, remember at least the following 10 codes:

10-1 Receiving Poorly

10-4 Ok, Message Received

10-7 Out of Service, Leaving Air (you're going off the air)

10-8 In Service, subject to call (you're back on the air)

10-9 Repeat Message

10-10 Transmission Completed, Standing By (you'll be listening)

10-20 "What's your location?" or "My location is..." Commonly asked as "What's your 20?"

And maybe also this code... 10-100 Need to go to Bathroom. Also, remember that the code 10-4 only means "message received". If you want to say "yes", use "affirmative". For "no", use "negative" or “negatory”.

If people can learn all the other mechanics of game and command console, chat commands they can learn a few or more code words to speed up coms in game....after all speed is of the essence....quicker you are the better. When they had German calls in BF I picked up on German language by playing game....like"Sharpes shutza"...and others.
