Anyone using GTX 570 1.28Gb??

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I'm building a PC from scrap for my dad (61 years old and wants to start playing video games :)). I have everything ready to build and install, but I wanted to know if the specs are good for this game (the VGA is my main concern).

Processor: Intel Core i5 - 2500K

Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Deluxe

Memory: 8GB Kingston HyperX 1866MHz (1 stick)

Graphics Card: EVGA GTX 570HD 1.28GB

Power Supply: EVGA 600B

Hard Drive: Western Digital Blue 1TB

Display: Samsung 20" (1600x900).

What do you think? Should I buy this game for him?

Thank you all!

I'm running Squad with an i7-2600K, GTX 580 (1536MB) and 16GB.

Thank you! Could you give me some details about graphics configurations and FPS?

16gb RAM if you can afford it. I have MSI AB running always and my RAM will sometimes sit there at around 7.1gb have seen it hit 12gb.

Gotta get him atleast 1080!!! :)

I already have the display from an old computer. Maybe in a little while I can change the GTX 570 and the display for something better, but for a start I think it's going to be a nice present :)

Hard to believe, lol!

You using the ini tweaks?

What do you mean with "hard to believe"; would you care to elaborate?

The only thing I've done so far is to manually increase my streamed texture pool size from 1000 to 1536 and capped my frames at 60.

It's a pretty old card, so I find it surprising to see you have maxed out your settings and have 30 fps on 1080p, that's all.

Great to hear it works so good, though :)

It isn't really that demanding, only poorly optimized, but i reckon it will get much better with Unreal Engine 4.11 and once they've successfully reprogrammed their broken animations system.
