Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics, etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal. §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest. §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs. §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge. §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments. §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). I would like to make a suggestion I came up with yesterday while playing Squad. We were driving in a militia's techie and got under heavy infantry fire. Our squad leader was sitting near me and got shot in a head and killed. Here's my suggestion, it would be great if the devs added a game mechanic that would allow players to take cover in the seat of unarmoured vehicles like techies and supply trucks. If our squad leader was able to slide down or bend down in a seat maybe he would have been alive.
Right now the holding shift function to stay in first gear isnt really working out. when you head up a hill already with some speed you are unable to switch to first gear. you need to stop in order to go to first gear. i'd say just give the full function to switch between gears.
ive noticed that damage through techie windows has been removed and or greatly reduced i believe this gives the techies a huge advantage and those are they are faster than the vehicles that the ru and Americans have there are way more techies per team than Humvee or Armour and so what i would like to see added is 3 shot window that shatters after the third shot allowing you to do direct damage to the cab occupants of techie trucks i believe this is fair as it would not be a complete death sentence trying to sneak out in a logi or similar. i would also expect this to be implemented on the larger trucks aswell. or perhaps if that is to much work in coding perhaps maybe 33.3% damage so it would be 9 body shots or 3 headshots to kill occupants either or but the bullet proof techie windows are op i have literally put 20 rounds into a guy through the windshield to no avail and honestlly that was my favorite part or squad was the epic vehicle head shots sorry for the ramble but please seriously consider this
Ok so one of my favorite things to do in the game right now is to use rocket artillery. They require a lot of coordination, good timing and a lot of accidental team kills to properly master. But when dialed in right in the appropriate circumstances, I've found that you can make an enemy team bottle up and sit in place. Despite this, they don't get much use not only for these reasons, but also because there are a lot of frustrating little problems with their use. I'll list my current problems with them first. - There is no way to see how high your artillery is adjusted unless someone is looking at it from outside - You cannot traverse the rocket launcher left or right - There is no clear 'center line' on the trucks, making aiming with them somewhat difficult even when using squad markers - When you leave the passenger seat, the rocket pod resets. I'd like to hear a more detailed discussion on this subject, especially from the developers, but there are a few minor changes that I, and others surely, would love to see added. 1. Rocket pod does not reset to neutral after passenger leaves seat. 2. A visual icon showing the degree angles (X and Y) the rocket launcher is pointing. This will make adjustments and communication for fire much easier to manage. 3. Some mild left/right traverse. Not loads but just enough for a player to make minor tweaks on their own. Would love to hear what other players think and what the devs think. It's not entirely related, but I would love to see the Russian army get an equivalent some time in the future, perhaps in the form of a BM-21 truck, or perhaps a mortar striker for the US in the future.
I know that vehicles and logistic are still future topic, but what do you guys think about possibility to capture the enemies ammo truck (on it's route to the fob etc.) and be able to change your currently owned kit with the same kit but with enemies gear. That could be interesting and gives you the choice if you want to destroy the truck with RPG or just kill the driver and take enemy supplies.
1) To deploy supply crates from helos, please require helos to land and remain on the ground for and during deployment; taking off during deployment ought to cancel it. Dropping supply crates from five meters above ground is idiotic. 2) Pardon my ignorance, but will there by cargo and transport variants of logistics trucks? If so, can the cargo variant have supply crates in the cargo bay to reflect this, as opposed to the cargo variant having a cover and the transport variant not having one, as in PR? And when one supply crate has been dropped from a logie, what about allowing troops to occupy the now unused half of the cargo bay, and when both supply crates have been deployed allow the whole cargo bay to be occupied?
IEDs are a popular weapon among today's insurgents, and I think that needs to be represented in Squad. Along with smaller, man-portable IEDs, my suggestion is that Squad implements large IEDs, transported and deployed via logistics truck. IEDs that have a greater damage radius, greater power, and a bigger boom... the kind of thing that will decimate any unknowing Humvees.
CIAAOOO everyone, i'm sorry but i had to do that as soon as i'm new to the forum, i searched for the topic before asking (?) (discussing?) this thing: the question is... Will you developers add a system\ gameplay feature to allow the material for building FOBS to be carried from logistic trucks or vehicles? i know the game is pre alpha as i'm quite er... addicted to this game from the beginning,last year,i just wanted to know someting related from developers but ALSO what peoples would think about that. Love this game gogogoooooooooo best game eveeeer!!!! P:S. i played and still play PR so i know what i'm talking about...oh and pls don't shout at me for my bad english i'm italian=)
