      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Armored squaddies rejoice, the time has come to prove your mettle! A good tank crew is the backbone of a team and we’ve noticed that the armored crews out there have not had the opportunity to strut their stuff: enter the official Track Attack Tank Tournament. Our newly formed tournament committee will be hosting an evening of knockout tank action for teams of 3 people to compete for vehicular bragging rights in true 1v1 tank action! Taking to the field in intense and brutal 15-minute rounds, teams will fight for the top spot in a knockout-style tournament leading to a grand finale, all streamed for your enjoyment! We’re hoping this small but high-octane event will be the perfect practice our team needs for our future event organization and management. Sign-ups for this event will be open on Tuesday 27th August 12:00 UTC with spots limited to 8 teams — we want to give it a shakedown run before going any bigger. From there we can look to put teams into their matchups and present the full tournament schedule. TOURNAMENT INFORMATION BASIC RULES “First come, first served” sign up basis. 8 teams will participate. 3 players per team. The tournament will play out over one day with all rounds, including final, being decided on Saturday, August 31st, 2019. The tournament will start at 13:00 UTC. MATCH FORMAT Each match will be played in turn. All matches will be streamed by Nordic + Guests at http://twitch.tv/JoinSquad Teams are unable to choose map or side, they will be randomly distributed to participants just before the match. A random location on the map will be picked, and one tank each will be spawned to participants. A match ends when either one tank has been destroyed, or at the end of 15 minutes playtime. If time runs out, the most damaged tank will lose. In case no damage has been done, the casters will decide the winner between who was more aggressive. Passive play is not rewarded! If unable to decide a clear winner, a coin flip will be used. MATCH RULES Crew members are allowed to leave the vehicle, however, they are not allowed to use their small arms or knives. Players are allowed to repair their vehicles. Crew members are allowed to use smoke grenades in any way. Crew members are allowed to move all over the map, but enemy tanks are allowed to kill the opponent crew members with any weapon on the tank. ORGANIZATION Offworld will provide servers. All participants must have at least one person from the team in the Offworld Tournament discord. Invite will be sent upon accepted attendance. Teams are allowed to switch players between matches as long as they’re from the same organization/clan/team. Rules and format may change at any time at the discretion of the tournament manager. We will be organizing, hosting and casting this charity event and we’re opening it up to every single member of the Squad community.   8. Squad Masters League / 2016 - 2017

    WHAT IS SQUADMASTERS? Squad Masters League is an endurance tournament and a hybrid round robin / double elimination tournament during which your team squad is ranked according to several markers: presence, number of players and victories. Each team can join the competition anytime during the ongoing season. Squad Masters is a competition aimed to reward: 1. Tactical proficiency; 2. Participation / consistent and punctual presence of a team in the competition; 3. The ability of a team to collect and bring many players. RULES Admission The Staff reserves the right to refuse admission based on player reputation or past actions. The Staff reserves the right to refuse admission or eject from the competition any person who fails to comply with these rules. The minimum roster for a team to enter the competition is nine players. Player Conduct Any competitor found to have engaged in or attempted to engage in any act that the Squad Masters League deems, in its sole and absolute discretion, constitutes unfair play, will be subject to penalty. The nature and extent of the penalties imposed due to such acts shall be in the sole and absolute discretion of the Squad Masters League Creator. Unfair Play. The following will be considered unfair play and will be subject to penalties at the discretion of Squad Masters League officials. Collusion. Collusion is defined as any agreement among two or more players to disadvantage opposing players. Competitive Integrity. Clans are expected to play at their best at all times within any Squad Masters League game, and to avoid any behaviour inconsistent within the principles of good sportsmanship, honesty, or fair play. For the purpose of clarification, in-game strategies (such as FOB placement and vehicle routes) will not be considered when determining whether this rule has been violated. Hacking. Hacking is defined as the use of any modification of the Squad and/or the use of third party applications by a team or person. Furthermore, the use of community admin powers during competitive play will also be considered as hacking. Exploiting. Exploiting is defined as intentionally using any in-game bug to seek an advantage. Exploiting includes, but is not limited to: sticking your barrel through bulletproof windows on vehicles, water glitching, vehicle flipping while manned, or any other game function that, in the sole determination of the official, is not functioning as intended. Ringing. Playing under another player’s account or directing someone else to play under another player’s account. Ban evasion. Playing under an alternate account or another player’s account while banned or disqualified from participating in competitive games. Profanity and Hate Speech. A team member may not use language that is obscene, foul, vulgar, insulting, threatening, abusive, defamatory, slanderous or otherwise offensive within the competitive grounds. Match-Fixing. No clan member may offer, agree, conspire, or attempt to influence the outcome of a match by any means. Upon discovery of any clan member committing any violations of the rules listed above, the Squad Masters League may, without limitation of its authority under the first paragraph, issue the following penalties: Verbal warning(s) Loss of side selection for future games Game forfeiture Rematch of game Suspension of team(s) or player(s) Disqualification of team(s) or player(s) Repeated infractions are subject to escalating penalties, up to, and including, permanent disqualification from future participation in the Squad Masters League. It is at the official’s sole discretion. To illustrate, the Squad Masters League can disqualify a player for a first offense if the action of said player is deemed egregious enough to be worthy of disqualification. Timetable Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is used as the official Squad Masters reference for time. Games could be played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and/or Saturday. This way we don’t interfere with other community events like CCFN (which we love). Standard time for games is 19:00 UTC but teams can set another time if they wish. Teams can plan their own team vs team matches. Streaming Individual, Professional and Referee live streaming videos should be delayed at least 30 minutes. Players engaged in a round are not allowed to stream until the final scoreboard of the round appears on screen. Official Streamers are the only ones allowed to use Squad Masters logos and mentions in their videos and live streams. Big Rumbles Rules Summary Up to 6 dedicated gaming servers 36vs36 can be set up all year, 3 EU and 3 US. The classification and schedule of games are organized within the squadmasters.com site. An average of 2 games (We call it “Big Rumble”), that is 4 rounds per week, involving the maximum possible teams. A Referee will be assigned to a specific BIG Rumble Server. A side (not an individual or a team) can refuse a Referee by posting a 24H notice on Discord before the BIG Rumble to begin. A new Referee will be assigned, the new Referee cannot be refused. How to join a Big Rumble Example 1: I’m team A. My post will be: “A in”. Example 2: I’m team A and I know a good team B I want to play with on the same side and I want to start on the US side. (First Come, First Serve) then my post will be: “A in, playing US with B – 1st round.” Player’s Team Limitation Each team can engage players according to the slots availability on the servers – First Come, First Serve. A team can engage 18 players maximum per server, but no server limit. It means that the same day, if 2 servers are open then a team can use a maximum of 2 x 18 = 36 players ; if 3 servers are open then 3 x 18 ; and so on. We will provide as many servers as needed to welcome all the teams on a Big Rumble Day. Victory Points Download the official Calculator Rumble Round victory – 5 points and 3 points per series of 9 further players of the same team. Incomplete squads (under 9 players) win 0.5 point per player only. Ego Trip Round victory – 5 points and 2 points per series of 9 further players of the same team. Incomplete squads (under 9 players) win 0.25 point per player only. A group of Meat Balls that wins a round scores 1 bonus points per team. The insolent team that looses a round scores 3 minus point. Tournament Round victory – 3 points and 2 points per series of 9 further players of the same team. Incomplete squads (under 9 players) win 0.25 point per player only. A team that wins a Tournament (double-elimination brackets) scores a specific amount of bonus points: 12v12 | 20pts; 18v18 | 35pts; 24v24 | 50pts; 36v36 | 80pts. Team vs. Team Round victory – 3 points and 2 points per series of 9 further players of the same team. Incomplete squads (under 9 players) win 0.25 point per player only. General Only screenshots of scoreboards at the end of the game will be accepted as evidence to establish the presence of players and victory points. You can provide your scoreboard proof (a) using the Discord text channel #Scoreboards or (b) you can choose to upload your scoreboards in the comments window linked to the event post or (c) to use the CMS of squadmasters.com. The calculation of points is performed all season and is updated at the end of each game on the competition’s website. Teams can see their rankings in real time. Rankings are provisional until the end of the season. Clans gathering, alliances and choice of sides during a Big Rumble There is a strategic and political way to play the Squad Masters. More than only matches, we expect also global tactics in gathering and preparing for Rumbles. A lot of gossips around things like who is playing with who and/or what preparations are under way. We want clans to gather, to plan alliances. The little teams to join together in order to create bigger teams and gain power. Considering that the number of Big Rumbles is important (2 to 4 each week US and EU) and that we plan to take into account the results of the CCFN (we are asking CCFN Staff at the moment) and we are already taking into account the Open Tournaments rounds. We decided to allow teams to play together and form sides. If nothing has been decided between teams, the Referee will assign a Side for each team. In Game Rules A team cannot have players on both sides during the same round. Short notice cancellation or no-show will cost the team: Long Run Competition: 3 penalty points. Tournaments: Forfeit A team forfeits if 50% of its registered players are unable to connect to the lobby at the time the round is planned to start (event time shown at the event page), then the opposite team wins the round. A round is valid if there are at least 80% of the registered players on each team. If one of the teams is unable to meet this requirement then the opposite team can choose whether to play the round or not. If the opposite team chooses to play the round, the team that does not meet the percentage will receive a penalty point and the round will be validated. If neither team is able to respect the percentage requirement then the Referee will decide if the round is played or not. If the Referee chooses to play the round then each team will receive a penalty point and the round will be validated. A round starts when both sides are ready to play and the minimum amount of registered players of each side is reached. The Referee then broadcasts a timer or will “live” the game its way. No player should disconnect before the Referee successfully proceeded to the capture of the round scoreboard. Any Player Disconnection is deemed to be definitive until next round. Any disconnected player is reputed undeclared. Spawn killing is authorized. Open Tournaments | Team vs Team Single-elimination (Knockout) or Double-elimination Tournaments. First round brackets are randomized (https://www.randomlists.com/team-generator). In case of a Draw, the team that has won the most tickets wins the match. Team vs Team Open Tournaments 9vs9, 12v12, 24v24, 18vs18 and 36vs36 results are taken into account when calculating League ranks – same rules apply with the exception of the max number of players per team. To be validated, the event (2 rounds): (1) should have at least one Referee present during the game (ask us to provide one for your match with 48h notice) and (2) should take place on one of the Masters server or (3) one of your server (can not be a custom server) if both teams agreed and if at least one Referee has full access to the server administration during the game. A Referee will be assigned to a specific Open Tournament Server round. A team (not an individual) can refuse a Referee to operate by posting a 24H notice on Discord before the round to begin. A new Referee will be assigned – it can not be refused. Regarding the Open Tournaments (still part of the overall points calculation): We are setting up rights on the website for the clan leaders to be able to manage team vs. team events directly without having to refer them to us. Results of rounds or entire games will be communicated by the leaders in the Masters Discord #scoreboards text channel (Screen Captures, Date, Server name and teams engaged). Ego Trip | Team vs. World The members of a same team challenge a group composed by players of different teams (named: Meat Balls). A Meat Balls team cannot have more than 18 players of the same team engaged in a round. Ego Trip rounds 9vs9, 12v12, 24v24, 18vs18 and 34vs34 results are taken into account when calculating League ranks – same rules apply with the exception of the max number of players per team (34 players per team engaged in a 34vs34 game). To be validated, the event (1 or 2 rounds): (1) should have at least one Referee present during the game (ask us to provide one for your match with 48h notice) and (2) should take place on one of the Masters server or (3) one of your server (can not be a custom server) if both teams agreed and if at least one Masters Referee has full access to the server administration during the game. A Referee will be assigned to a specific Ego Trip Server round. A team (not an individual) can refuse a Referee to operate by posting a 24H notice on Discord before the round to begin. A new Referee will be assigned – it can not be refused. Claims Every issue raised will be subject to inquiries while empty claims will be ignored without further consequence. To protect the reputation and the identity of the reported team or player, claims should not be made public. Claims have to be submitted to the Referee in charge of the game. Any claim that is made public will not be followed up on and the Plaintiff will be subject to disciplinary action. Following the presentation of the claim by the plaintiff (evidences and/or speeches), the Referee shall issue its opinion within a time limit of 48 hours from the date and time of receipt of the claim. Being rude to a Referee or an Official be sanctioned with a suspension from at least one match. Offenders will be held accountable through sentences that are proportionate to the severity of their actions. A first notice will be addressed to the offender without further consequence. In the event of a repeated infringement a second notice will be addressed to the offender’s team without further consequence. In the event of a further offence, details of the wrongful conduct will be made public and the offender will be banned from the competition ; offender’s team will be subject to disciplinary action. As a last resort, it is at the League Creator’s discretion whether or not to punish a player or a team. Teams merging Unlimited number of teams can merge into a new team with the goal to gain a larger amount of talented players and to acquire points. The league will support and promote such merging as it is seen as a tactical move to win the competition. The Mergers automatically transfer their victory points, bonus points and penalties to the new born team. Referee Credit System At the beginning of the tournament, each team is given 2 Referee Credits (RC). In order to play a match, a team has to spend 1 RC. To gain more RC, a team has to ref a match. As already advertised in the official announcement here, we are proud to present you with this new tournament based on team work and dedication : Squad:Frontlines This tournament consist on two factions (or armies if you prefer), organised under a general and his HCO's staff (High Commanding Officers), fighting each other every week. Our website is giving them all the tools to organise their companies, track training and battle attendance, manage ranks and also give medals of award ! The whole faction is organised around this CoC (Chain of Command) with the general having all the "power" he need to reach one goal : win the campaign !! The campaign is a succession of battles during 3 months, and at the end of the quarter, the winning side is the army that won most battles.. or in case of a tie, the most rounds ! We have now 2 battles under our belt in what we call our beta campaign, and we have already a nice core of dedicated players, a lot of input is given to us admins and it really makes us think even more than we were before the start of the project!! ... unfortunately some have left too, realizing that Squad:Frontlines take some time to be fully prepared to the battle (and we don't blame them - it takes time). What we think is the least to be prepared too is being able to participate in a weekly training, getting to know objectives, maps, flags... also getting to know your fellow company members... so you are fully prepared come battle day !! "Okay, so what is it then?" What we'd like to build here is a place that coordinates leagues, tournaments, clan matches, noob nights, leaderboards/stats for our official match server, event recaps, etc. "But we can't even own servers yet, so why?" Well, we actually feel fortunate that that's not quite out yet. We'll be afforded an ample amount of time to lay the foundation properly for all of these features we'd like to host/propose to the community. "What makes you the 'organization' that should lead this effort?" Well, we'll have to earn that right. We'll have to earn the community's trust through our actions. Not everyone will want to take part in this effort and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. "Okay, say I/we want to take part, what now?" Glad you asked. At this point, we're looking to lay a foundation to build on. The forums will be heavily relied upon to discuss ideas of how to shape this place. Shape league rules. Shape tournament rules. Shape our design functionality. Our design aesthetics. Discuss leaderboard mechanics. Etc. "This sounds great! Can I help!" Absolutely. The forums is the first line of help. @Rusty will have to speak to some of the actual design elements we might need. What we'll need for sure are people willing to help with API's for the leaderboards. If anyone is great with graphics design I'm sure we could use that as well. "Um, anything else?" Expect a separate sign up post likely on the 20th after our event at 1500EST which will remain open for one week. But please feel free to express your interest in joining here. We will do everything in our power to provide the smoothest experience possible. ======================================= BRACKETOLOGY ======================================= We are hoping to have a minimum of eight clans but will go as high as 16. IF EIGHT TEAMS * We will host a "losers bracket" tournament. Meaning, each team can lose one match and still live to fight one more time. * If the clan that is undefeated goes all the way and loses in the championship, there will be a final because it is their first loss. IF SIXTEEN TEAMS * Single elimination tournament. We will use a bracket generator to determine the matches, which will be conducted on a live stream a single time....in the interest of transparency. Our matches will be hosted on both Saturday and Sunday for at least the first few rounds until feasible to move to Saturday's. ======================================= RULES ======================================= * Matches will be a best of two rounds, each clan playing each faction once. If rounds result in 1-1, we will turn to which clan had the most tickets remaining. * Teams must arrive 20 minutes prior to match start. * Teams will be granted a maximum of 5 minutes after match start time if players are "on their way." * Once the match begins, no players allowed to join without authorization. * Clans may compete with as few as 16 on the roster (for instance a few peoples had life issues and couldn't make it). * 18 players will always be the maximum amount of players allowed per team, no matter the circumstances. * Non clan subs will not be permitted. Please ensure you can stock a full 18 squad roster, with clan spares. * If you only have 15 players at match start time (no later than 5 minutes after determined time), the match will be a forfeit and immediate win for the opposite team. * Squad League will record the matches and announce as if it were live. However, we will stream events with announcers after the fact (ie, no live or even delayed broadcasting from us). _Clan members may stream live/delayed at their own peril_. * Clans that are running short on members are allowed to partner with another clan with similar circumstances. Know that this marriage will last the duration of the tournament and prizes would be split between the two clans. ======================================= PRIZES ======================================= Prizes are still being determined. Though for the winner we are looking to reward the clan with military style challenge coins, Squad League logo on one side and a special tournament "I" logo on the other side. We want to up the ante in March (as noted in our New Year's post). February will still be a series of exhibition matches. But March it's time to start pushing the gas pedal down a little bit more. I look at this a few ways: In order to advance our, Squad League's, knowledge substantially we need to raise the stakes. Exhibition matches we'll have down by the end of February.....it's time to start learning in other areas as well. While it might not be fun for every clan, I think this will begin providing a better sense of the competition needed to compete at the highest levels. Clans need to know what to strive towards to better themselves. And mainly, I think this will be much better theater for the audience, thus bringing more exposure to the clans and Squad League. The details are still being worked, but here's what I think will be for sure's: Matches will be 18v18'sI'd like a minimum of 8 teams. The final number has to be divisible by two (to prevent any sort of "buy's" in the beginning)We will use a "check-in" on our own website.Check-in will likely be on the 7th of February @ 1500EST There will be a two week break between semi-finals and the "championship"So here's what we need to know..........who's interested!?

  18. Hi there, this thread is about the organisation of a french speaking based tournament on Squad. Sorry for not translating everything into english but the idea behind this a french speaking (only) tournament. I'd be happy to tell more in english about it if you guys need/want It's just a project/idea I have in mind for now. _____________ Bonjour à toutes et tous, Depuis l'annonce de la sortie Squad une idée germe dans mon esprit.. et de plus en plus en fonction des infos que l'on voit sur Squad L'organisation d'un tournoi à grande échelle sur Squad. J'explique d'où vient l'idée. J'ai participé par le passé à un tournoi de grande envergure appelé 21st Century Warfare (21cw.net) que certains doivent connaitre ici.. car il était très connu à un moment donné.. Ne me demandez pas les dates car j'ai un gros soucis niveau mémoire, mais tout à commencé sur BF1942 et le mod Desert Combat. Ensuite, le tournoi à migré sur BF2 et un mod conçu par 21CW axé sur le réalisme (tout en n'arrivant pas au niveau de PR) mais qui garantissait un gameplay favorisant l'organisation et le team play.. Personnellement j'ai arrêté d'y jouer car plus de temps (vous comprendrez quand je vous parlerai plus en détail de l'organisation) et surtout parce que les organisateurs ont voulu migrer d'abord sur Bad Company, puis BF3 (et maintenant je pense qu'ils sont sur BF4 ). Le problème pour moi de ces jeux étant qu'ils ne sont pas moddables et donc pas adaptables. Le gameplay est aussi beaucoup plus "bourrin" Le principe du tournoi était de confronter deux factions (en général les USA contre les MEC, mais notre mod nous permettait de jouer des factions plus "exotique"s comme le Canada - je crois qu'on utilisait d'ailleurs une partie des modèles de PR) sur une période de 3 mois. Il y avait une map stratégique qui reprenait toutes les map jouables.. le but pour la faction était, au bout des x jours de batailles (sur trois mois en général 10 batailles) de remporter le plus de map. La map stratégique donnait une dimension... stratégique à la campagne car la faction qui remportait une bataille avait le choix de la map suivante, elle pouvait donc choisir la map en fonction de ses forces ou de ses faiblesses.. très sympa. Chaque bataille se déroulait le samedi de 18h à 6h du matin (tournoi international donc les heures convenaient à tout le monde), et étaient donc une succession de x parties sur les 12h. La faction qui remportait le plus de partie était déclarée gagnante et donc avec le choix de la map suivante. Il y avait parfois des scores très serrés et je suis resté connecté un grand nombre de fois jusque 6h du matin car la décision se faisait parfois sur la dernière partie !! c'était vraiment épique par moment !!! pour les joueurs européens c'était toujours le défi de jouer les 12h en suivant Chaque faction avait une 100taine de joueurs, jusqu'à 200 joueurs parfois. A un moment donné, on a du créer 4 factions et jouer le vendredi. C'était vraiment excellent. Chaque faction était organisée avec une (vraie) organisation type militaire, un Général, deux colonels et des capitaines par section. En général il y avait ces sections dans une faction : commandant : rappelez vous, BF2 avait des outils sympas (et notre mod en avait plus encore)section sniper : en fonction des maps, une équipe de 2 ou 3 joueurs avec un spottersection mortier : en fonction des maps, une équipe de 2 ou 3 joueurs avec un spotter et un joueur en supportsection aérienne : en fonction des maps, de 2 à 4 joueurs (avions, hélico transport et/ou d'attaque)section opérations spéciales : en fonction des maps, 2 à 4 joueurs -> section spécialisée dans la destruction des outils du commandant, des aéronefs au sol et la neutralisation du commandant adverse 2 ou 3 sections d'infanteries : en fonction des sections ci-dessus de 5 à 6 joueursLes communications étaient très contrôlées et grâce à TS il y avait une bonne coordination. La structure de la COC (chain of command) était très respectée et il y avait une certaine discipline en jeu (même si l'ambiance était TRES bon enfant.. et ce malgré le caractère compétitif du tournoi). Dernière petite chose, la participation était gratuite. Simplement, si vous vouliez choisir la faction dans laquelle vous jouiez (et donc vous retrouver entre amis), il fallait contribuer à hauteur de 5$ par campagne (autant dire rien).. Les donations couvraient aussi une partie des coûts serveurs. L'idée actuelle pour Squad : Je voudrais répliquer maintenant ce concept sur Squad. Je sais que c'est beaucoup trop tôt pour en parler... mais mon objectif par ce message est de tenter de réunir des personnes motivées par l'organisation d'un tel projet.. parce que il y a besoin de staff évidemment : administrateur(s)webmastercommunity manager(s)moderateur(s)...Je pense à une communauté uniquement francophone, pour la facilité de communication.. (perso je n'ai pas de problème en anglais mais je sais que ce n'est pas évident pour d'autres).. et puis parce que je remarque qu'il y a clairement le potentiel niveau joueurs entre la France, la Suisse, le Quebec, la Belgique.. et de plus en plus je vois des joueurs Algériens, Marocains également !! (pas taper si j'oublie d'autres nations francophones présentes ici ). J'envisagerais une battle par semaine (ou tous les 15 jours ?) afin de ne pas lasser rapidement. Personnellement jouer le weekend est impossible pour moi donc je pensais à une battle en semaine, de 20h à 23h par exemple. Rien n'est bien entendu définitif mais c'est ce qui me convient personnellement le mieux. Le tournoi pourrait bien entendu commencer "petit" .. je pense que pour être intéressant il faut des factions de ~30 à 40 joueurs pour commencer, pouvoir pouvoir remplir correctement un serveur et que les batailles soient intéressantes. Par la suite bien entendu, étant donné que Squad permettra du PvP à 50 contre 50.. on pourra voir plus grand. Voilà l'idée globale, je voulais juste par cette discussion sonder ici la communauté francophone.. je suis en contact avec plusieurs teams / guildes.. il y a clairement le potentiel sur Squad de développer un truc qui tient la route.   19. So I think that when clans are eventually added it would be awesome for the clan leader to be able to design a clan weapon skin. I was thinking this could be the same skin for every player or there could be a base skin to which each member could add their own personal touch. I'm not sure how clans are going to work and I assume the developers don't know fully yet either but I'm assuming they will be able to be made by anybody as long as they meet in-game requirements like a skill level and minimum members to start kind of thing. This is a long shot but instead of or with the clan skin there could be a clan hat that the members' player models wear into battle or maybe just a patch on their shoulders. Also when the player base is larger it would be nice to have the ability to join a game with your clan and be automatically put into a squad together, maybe even choosing who will be squad leader/kit before hand. Also something that would be awesome is if you have a large clan that you can group members into squads and they will always play together unless swapped manually. I assume this will be added but a game mode/matches only for clans to fight eachother would be awesome and this would begin the competitive aspect of the game and allow for a clan leaderboard and organised tournaments with the top clans. Please leave your opinions on this and list your own ideas for this.
