      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Teamwork incentive

So one thing I've noticed over the past year as a squad leader or just generally looking at the entire team's position on the map is the amount of people going rogue/rambo instead of working and following with their squad. It's definitely not a systemic game-breaking problem by any means but it does get annoying, especially as a squad leader, and typically interferes with the tactical aspect of the game in my opinion. There are exceptions of course, such as scouts placing mines or having a LP/OP forward of the defense, but these are usually a minority of players lone gunning it. Now, I know these players could be dealt with easily by being kicked from the squad but all that does is make them someone else's problem or just unassigned and doing the same thing. This is definitely a problem (small one) that may not have a solution outside of squading up with other like minded players who enjoy the "authentic" teamwork experience. My idea as a possible incentive to fighting as a team would be to add a slight stamina boost that's only possible by staying within a certain proximity of your squad leader/squad. My idea of what this would look like would be along the lines of decreasing the speed at which stamina is used up while sprinting or maybe regenerating stamina faster within that certain proximity of your squaddies. If you're too far away from your buddies you would lose this "boost" which would put Rambo's at a slight disadvantage. Of course, the whole idea may sound stupid but as a former infantry Marine (2006-2010), being around fellow Marines during any type of physical exertion made you want to run faster and push harder than you otherwise would to avoid being that weakest link shitbag that no one likes. I also have no idea if this is even possible to implement but I thought it was worth throwing out there in case it hasn't been mentioned before to see what everyone else thinks. Maybe there are better/easier ideas that can be worked in. Or maybe we just continue kicking these players from our squads. Either way, not going to stop playing this game and looking forward to the future of Squad

The 508th is a small, close-knit community. We are seeking mature gamers who are willing to play as a team, use tactics and above all have fun. Although we do use a military name and rank structure we are not a hardcore milsim clan. What we do comes down to a specific way of tactics and communication, not roleplaying. The 508th originates from the Battlefield 2 modification Project Reality. It is a group of gamers formed from an old gaming community which holds its origins in 2005. At the start of April of 2010 the 508th was created. We currently play Squad. We are looking into a more active role for ArmA 3 within the community as well. 5. Positive Feedback

Just wanted to say Ive owned the game since summer 2016 and I enjoy it every time I play. I honestly love the strategy-paced, teamwork style of play. I enjoy the realistic reload times, the movement, the weapon feel, the comm beep whenever people talk, the base building, the treks with teammates to get to locations, the long distance combat, trying to find out where I'm getting shot from, and most importantly the SOUND really kicks ass, the sound in this game is unbelievably immersive and amazing. During firefights, its really cool that the gunfire sound overpowers everything else, thats the way it should be. Please dont let anyone complain about the realism, because its the reason why I play this over Battlefield, CoD, etc. When I'm explaining this game to someone, the main thing I tell them is "In Battlefield you spawn and sprint, shoot, then die. In Squad you're actually playing, walking, moving, setting up, talking, taking cover, suppressing, you're actually hanging out with the people you play with, rather than just spawn and die."
  6. Ares Gaming Fraternity

ARES is a mature military realism gaming fraternity. ARES was the Greek god of war, and we take pride in naming our fraternity after the deity of death and destruction. We’re doing something different with the military tactical gaming experience and we can guarantee that what our group of elite gamers has to offer can’t be found anywhere else. Note: Our new website is currently under construction so join us in our TeamSpeak 3 server. If you’re looking for effective communication, our fraternity teaches it, along with real world military tactics that work in the game. However, we’re not a “yes sir, no sir” clan. “Military realism” comes into play on the battlefield and in the rank system we use. To put it simply, excellence in teamwork and tactical competence are our top priorities. So long as you do your job in the field, then you will be respected back in the rec-room. Our Squad gaming servers are among the highest performance in the world and our fraternity is open to gamers from all over the globe. We've invested in top dollar servers to ensure that you have the ultimate experience. ARES’ fully customized TeamSpeak 3 server features an icon system that displays a fraternity member’s country, rank, clan medals achieved and training sessions completed. Hands down, ARES has the best TeamSpeak any clan has to offer. Stop by our TeamSpeak 3 server to find out more about us. No matter what time of day it is, there’s almost always someone online! You can download a free TeamSpeak 3 client at TeamSpeak.com (you don't have to sign up for anything, just click "Downloads" at the top of the size and download the client for your operating system). COPY & PASTE: clanares.ts.nfoservers.com ARES welcomes absolutely anyone and everyone to join our fraternity, no matter what your K/D ratio or skill level is, with only a few simple requirements. We are a thriving community of first class gamers who enjoy a military realism environment. After all, we are playing war games, so we enjoy fulfilling our roles and duties like real soldiers, marines, airmen or sailors. We’ve joined together for some serious gaming action, and some serious butt kicking; the latter of which being something we are very good at! So, what does it mean to be a member of our fraternity? First, it means being part of one the most fun, entertaining, and enjoyable groups you’ve ever heard of, but let’s not get too excited yet. Yes, we offer medals, awards, ranks, scrimmages, inner clan battles, and all kinds of other cool stuff; but in order for that stuff to mean anything, you really have to want to be a member of ARES. Joining our organization is literally like becoming part of a fraternity. As such, it’s not an overnight task to make you one of us. Do you have what it takes to be a part of the fraternity? We’re looking for people willing to make a commitment over the next couple of months, or even years to grow and excel with our clan. Few people make it to the point of being a true fraternity brother Not because of their kill/death ratio or any other factor to do with their stats, but because they are not serious team players. Our fraternity is full of dedicated people who put a ton of time and effort into literally giving away some of the best tactics in the FPS gaming community. Due to this, we naturally want to ensure that the people we recruit have a good grip on what they can expect to gain by joining us, but it’s also important that recruits know what we expect of them in return. We guarantee you will learn new things, improve your game play, and become part of a group that thrives on the power of teamwork and communication. There is no elite club within our fraternity, every member is just as important as the next. Simply being a member of our fraternity puts you in the elite club. Don’t be confused though, because ARES is not looking to just hand out our secrets to anyone, or just let any old random be a part of our group. ARES is a gaming community which has no need for fly-by-night players who just want to take our help and run. We are looking for players to join and stick with us for a while, because after all, we are going to put a lot of energy into making you a better player. It’s not fair to us if you just take what you learn and never return. We can’t have a reliable team any other way, and we refuse to simply accept people who don’t truly want to be a part of a serious team. If you want to run with the best, you’re going to have to put forth the effort to prove you deserve it. That said, it’s so much fun you’ll be begging for more, but be forewarned. If you show that you really don’t want to be one of us, we don’t want you. ARES is a military realism fraternity, but we are not expressly a strict “yes sir” or “no sir” type of environment. However, when we get down and dirty on the battlefield, we expect every member to behave as if we were in the military. We expect all players to follow the orders of those above them in rank, and to jump into action at the drop of a hat for their squad leader or commanding player. If you are asked to suicide and spawn with a specific kit, we expect you to drop dead on the spot and return with what you were told to bring. We are not babysitters. We are a mature, adult group that functions as a seamless unit, not a bunch of mindless individuals. In order to dominate, it is absolutely critical that everyone work together and do so without hesitation. This is something we expect of you, but by making it an expectation for all members, we are able to guarantee this experience to all new recruits and long-term members alike. ARES is looking for the type of player who is not concerned with his kill death ratio or his personal stats. We are looking for the type of player who has a true desire to operate as part of an effective, organized, and deadly team. We are looking for players who understand or are willing to learn to use clear communication and superior tactics to overwhelm the enemy. We are looking for players who thoroughly comprehend the strength in organized teamwork, and are not afraid to pull their weight when instructed. We have no use for people who hesitate in the heat of action. We are looking for the kind of team players who get the job done. ARES is an amazingly fun fraternity to play with under any circumstance, but you’ll have to experience it to know it. The people that make up ARES are friendly, helpful, and more than willing to help you achieve more. As was stated before, our members will spend their precious free time teaching you everything we know about this game, including real world tactics that actually work in the game, with boots on the ground! However, we don’t want ARES to be all give and no take, so we certainly expect you to give a little dedication, in return for the same from us. We will show you things that we can guarantee you don’t know, because they are filtered down from literally hundreds of first-person shooter players, and we share this knowledge with our team to ensure that every member gets to be all he can be! What this means for you is that when you step onto the battlefield with ARES you are absolutely guaranteed to have a real dedicated team watching your back, as opposed to a bunch of random players who will simply ignore you. With ARES you don’t get a group of people who simply sit around on a Teamspeak server and shoot the breeze while gaming as individuals. Instead with ARES, you are guaranteed players who will not falter when it really counts. You are guaranteed players who will literally give everything they can for the team, and do so without blinking an eye. ARES is made up of people who get the job done by leading when it’s their turn to lead, and following when it’s their turn to follow. Are you a person who can follow orders when it is your turn to follow? Do you want to join a clan where domination is solely a product of their superior teamwork, tactics, and communication? Do you want to join a real community of good people who are at the absolute pinnacle of team play? Do you know how to get the job done at all costs because it’s what the team needs? Do you know how to act like a cog in a machine, rather than the typical random public players? If you do, you might just fit in with ARES. Just remember, there is no “I” in team. See you in Squad.
  7. I propose something I coin Team calibration indicator, a small percentage indicator in the score board for each side and a small coloured icon for Squad leaders. how it works; every time the map changes, the server tracks who stays on the server and within the same team. If everyone stays exactly the same you team will get a team calibration score of 100%. if say on team 2 (36 players) 12 players leave the server and 12 new people join, the calibration will drop to 66%. what this allows is a form of prematch inteligence that can really help teamwork in that SLeaders in particular know what they are working with and can adjust their command style to suit. additionally each squad leader will have a red amber or green colour higlighting their current play session calibration. red = 1st game as SL amber = 2 green =3 sessions played. this allows the squad members to trust the judgment of their SL and thus more likeley to follow orders without bickering. this information is purely per session and does not track into other games, something i would be very carefull to implement as we dont want there to be a barrier to being SL. ie SL rank where people dont join your squad because you have no experience tracked and thus never get any experience etc etc I wrote a big long intro why i thought this would be usefull to me and then my phone died.. So i will leave this to the community to think about how this may help or hinder SQAUDS gameplay. For me the main (not really an issue) issue is... it takes a few games to know if the teams are unbalanced.. a few rounds to learn if the other side is well organised, and then what tactics to implement to succesfully battle the enemy.. then i have to stop cos 3 games is like 3 hrs sometimes. I open this up to the community to imagine if this is a usefull indicator, go!

  10. [FH] Forlorn Hope Clan - Videos.

Just a couple of vids recorded from december 2016 to september 2017. Nothing special, but some pew pew to watch. I'm using OBS to record and Sony Vegas 14.0 to edit. Feel free to give me some tips on how to improve video quality etc. Enjoy.
  11. DesmoLocke's Videos!

Link to my YouTube channel Link to my Twitch channel I thought I'd just dump my videos here instead of trying to find any relevant threads elsewhere. I may or may not keep uploading. It's just a fun little hobby and I enjoy it. This is footage from the Virginia server last night. A few people around here wanted to see it as they didn't record it themselves. It was a very intense round and a ton of fun!
  12. Honoring Ranking. So instead of having a rank due to hours and amount of kills/revives/etc deciding your rank, we should have a system where you can rank, or vote someone positively or negatively depending on your experience with that person. A few examples would be if a Squad Leader is doing a good job at communicating information to their own squad from other squads, directing people, assigning tasks, overall being interactive, a player will be able to vote that person positively. Aside from just the Squad Leader, you will be able to vote fellow squad mates too. the ranking system could be based in regards to actual military ranking, as to keep linear with the reality aspect of Squad. This system i believe would keep as well as bring people into the game for two reasons: 1)People who want to continue building a rank will continuously play in a positive manner and communicate to rank up. (unlike regular 'exp' ranking where it doesn't promote teamwork) 2)People would be attracted a bit more due to the focus of positive work & recognizing good behavior. I would love to hear anybody's opinion in regards to this idea so i can also get a different perspective aside from mine.

  14. As the game get's more and more features, I've noticed, perhaps, less emphasis is being placed on the cohesiveness of squads and their ability to work together to achieve objectives. For example, I've noticed some squads are losing their combat effectiveness because the SL names his squad "MORTARS :P" and wants to do nothing but launch mortars across the entire map for the duration of the round whilst the rest of their squad run around as a fractured unit of Rambo's and lone rangers. I also find assets like the Stryker and BTR's aren't as effective as they should be because SL's are too busy managing their infantry to effectively micro manage their APC's. If you do manage to get a squad the dedicate themselves to APC's, because there's no squad lock (like there was in Project Reality), they normally end up getting populated by infantry who, again, run off across the map doing their own thing. So i was wondering if adding squad specialisations would perhaps resolve a few of the issues and put more emphasis on co-operation between sqauds and more effective teamwork. For example, if a SL wants to operate the mortars, s/he would create a Squad then choose the "Fire Support" specialisation. Their squad would be limited in size (say 2-3 people) and they would only be allowed to select a specific few classes that are related to their collective role as a squad (For example, No AR/AT for this squad as their role doesn't entail running around hunting tanks with RPGs and other squads with light machine guns). At least then the Squad is reasonably populated (1 member to operate the mortars, 1 to spot and 1 to resupply) and has every member committed to a particular role as opposed to going off, doing their own thing, because their own objectives don't match the SL's. Of course these specialisations would have to be limited (You don't really want every single squad on the team dedicated to chucking mortars at the enemy and nothing else), new role's would have to be developed for any Squad specialisations, and of course, you may need to give team's a way to ensure that any squads abusing their specialisation are removed from their position to allow someone else to take over and more effectively use it. Other specialisations include: - Infantry (Much like the current system. Consists of Rifleman, AR, AT, Medic ect. No Marksman. Role focuses on Infantry combat and securing objectives). - Marksmen (Consists of Marksmen (or Snipers) and spotters. Small sqauds should be focused on long range, anti-infantry operations). - Logistics (Consist of a logistics class. Lightly armed with tools to help carry out logistical operations and resupply miissions. There role would be keeping infantry, artillery and FOB's supplied, and vehicles operational through use of the Logistic trucks. - Light Vehicles (Populated by Crewmen. They have access to ONLY APC's. Squads with this specialisation are responsible for ferrying troops and light fire support). - MBT (Again, populated by Crewman. Squad's running under this spec will only be able to access Tanks. They will be responsible for heavy armor support, tank hunting ect). - Artillery. (Populated by Riflemen and a Spotter. Responsible for artillery support and communicating with squads to provide accurate indirect fire on targets). - Rotary Wing Aircraft (Upon arrival of aircraft. Could be branched off into Attack and logistic roles) - CAS (Upon arrival of aircraft. Responsible for CAS and anti-air ops) - Anti-Air (Upon arrival of stinger pods or vehicular anti-air). I feel back in the days of Project Reality, the players kind of operated their own variation of this system through squad naming and the locking of squads. This led to some intense games where the victors of matches were those who could effectively use their squads to support each other when needed, form decisive maneuvers and ultimately, more skillfully deploy their squads and utilise their assets advantages to exploit weakness in the enemy. Of course, there would need to be some planning, and such sweeping changes could change the dynamics of the game. However with some work i feel squads could finally have some real weight to how they contribute to the outcome of a round. Thank you for reading. Apologies if this has been discussed before. Feedback would be appreciated.
  15. So recently, I've been hung up on squad. I can't seem to will myself to play the game often anymore, because 8 times out of 10 I'll just be in a squad of people who don't care to communicate or ask questions. I feel like I HAVE to squad lead for an enjoyable experience anymore, and that takes a lot of patience and energy if you're doing it right IMO. Every time I feel like I wanna take a break and let someone else take the reigns, its just a shitshow. I do get good squadleads, and it makes the game exponentially more enjoyable. Just not in comparison to the amount of SLs ive had that just dont communicate and act like they've been huffing lacquer. My question is this, how do you overcome the human element and have fun no matter what you're doing in game? At least for me, it seems like my enjoyment is based on the giant dice roll that is squads and squad leaders. Even when I find ways to be useful and help my team, its always disheartening to not have any backup from my squad. I absolutely love the teamwork and cooperation aspect of Squad, and I feel like I'm just seeing less of it. It makes sense with kickstarters not being the only ones playing anymore, but what can we do to make Squad an excellent community? And/Or am I an arsehole and am just not understanding something?
  16. Dragging/Carrying

I love this game. A lot. I always love playing as a medic. There''s nothing better for me than running through a firefight to get to a wounded soldier who is not even in my squad and reviving him because I know that he could help us capture the area, which could help us win the game. However, I don't enjoy running to someone in the open and trying to revive him when the whole enemy team can see me put an ice pack on them which also takes time. I would love the ability to drag or carry a wounded to a safer place so I can bandage them as my team mates lay down covering fire for me. I live for that awesome teamwork.

  18. Hello Squaddies ! As already advertised in the official announcement here, we are proud to present you with this new tournament based on team work and dedication : Squad:Frontlines This tournament consist on two factions (or armies if you prefer), organised under a general and his HCO's staff (High Commanding Officers), fighting each other every week. Our website is giving them all the tools to organise their companies, track training and battle attendance, manage ranks and also give medals of award ! The whole faction is organised around this CoC (Chain of Command) with the general having all the "power" he need to reach one goal : win the campaign !! The campaign is a succession of battles during 3 months, and at the end of the quarter, the winning side is the army that won most battles.. or in case of a tie, the most rounds ! We have now 2 battles under our belt in what we call our beta campaign, and we have already a nice core of dedicated players, a lot of input is given to us admins and it really makes us think even more than we were before the start of the project!! ... unfortunately some have left too, realizing that Squad:Frontlines take some time to be fully prepared to the battle (and we don't blame them - it takes time). What we think is the least to be prepared too is being able to participate in a weekly training, getting to know objectives, maps, flags... also getting to know your fellow company members... so you are fully prepared come battle day !! That is not a requirement that us admin force people to use, but it's the kind of dedication a general could ask from his soldiers. Like I said, a lot of input is coming from the players and we are currently thinking about the first official campaign, trying to please everyone is not easy but be assured that it is our main goal : providing a game experience that you can never find anywhere else !! There are still a lot to be done to be ready and we need YOU to make this happen ! So register to https://squadfrontlines.com/, join our Discord and have fun with us ! Any question let us know.. you can join our Discord or ask here ! Rusty For the S:F admin Team

  21. Connect with us on Discord: https://discord.me/ar-squad ABOUT US: Armed & Ready is a community focused solely on Squad. We are founded by Combat Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers & Supporters. Our members are tactically effective, mature, drama free, treat others with respect, and are always armed & ready for whatever is thrown our way! We have fun, yet know when to get serious and that is key if you want to play competitively with us. WE OFFER: A Dedicated Discord Server #5 Ranked Squad Server - 80 Players w/ Whitelist (Chicago, IL - US) Official Squad Server ( 216.105.171.194:7787 ) A Fun, Interactive, Mature, and Tactically Minded Community THE ARMED & READY STANDARD - THINGS WE LOOK FOR IN MEMBERS: |1.| ACTIVE - We all have real lives outside of Squad and do not wish to interfere with yours BUT practice/training is expected as we all aim to improve. We encourage our members to be active as much as your schedule allows you to be. In a game like Squad, the more active you are... the better you will become! |2.| ACCURATE - No we are not looking for 30-50 kills every match but you must be able to listen accurately, move accurately, and engage accurately. Clearly the game relies on teamwork, not just kills, but the more kills we get... well the more fun we have! |3.| RELIABLE - We have embraced the motto "quality over quantity." This approach gives the community a tighter, more cohesive feel. It also means our members need to be reliable. You will need to show that you can add something to the team before becoming an official member and you will also need to show that you can be relied upon for: participating in practices, playing in scrims, and of course competing in official matches. On the battlefield you need to be a player that doesn't need 100% guidance all the time. You must be reliable in the sense that you can accept an SL's plan, digest it quickly, and make it happen. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US: We will work with you, grow with you, train with you, and compete with you. You can expect members to be laid back and to have fun. At the same time, when it comes time to compete, we all put our big boy pants on. The majority of us have served overseas so there is some ***-ish banter but we know how to turn it off when it's time to get serious. We model our community standards/style in game and we have a basic set of rules that include but are not limited to: no racism, bigotry, sexism, discrimination, hacking, spamming, harassment, griefing, etc. CONTACT US: The easiest way to reach us is in-game, or just hop on our Discord server: https://discord.me/ar-squad
  22. Squad Up

Hello fellow followers of Squad I've been playing Squad for a while now and the game has changed immensely from when I first started which is beyond amazing. Though constantly changing I just think some mechanics could be added. My main focus for this post is I want the developers of Squad to PLEASE add a squad up function, it may already be in the works (I don't know) but something like this would be amazing. What I mean is some way for me and some friends to easily through the menu crate a lobby/session and join a server together it would make things so much easier. Instead of my friend saying "Join blank server its under blank, with blank, number of people" sometimes when I join a server with a friend one of us does not get in or we get put on separate teams and hope it will let us switch teams with out throwing off balance. Hopefully this is added soon and what do you think or how can my idea even be improved?
  23. Alot of SQUAD players are requesting to SQUAD Developers a new map, and since everybody likes the lastest map AL-Basrah from PR - Project Reality , we are requesting a NEW IRAQUI URBAN MAP , this map is also very played in PR Project Reality called " Ramiel " , its a REPLICA of the Area in Somalia on the movie " Black Hawk Down ". And we as players would like to Developers at least think about it , the possibility to Re-Create Ramiel Map , now for SQUAD game. In PR Project Reality we also had a " COMMANDER " operating from a UAV , to call coordenates for SQUADS for each team, to improve Teamwork and to Guide the SquadLeaders to a Higher Performance In-Game. We really miss the " Commander " from Project Reality with his several funcions, such as Artilhary Strikes and Command each Individual SquadLeader. We also request on " Mortars - Emplecements " , to the SquadLeaders of U.S Team and Russian Team on the F.O.B area so they can be Deployed 2 Mortars in total. They can be built 2 at the same F.O.B or 1 Mortar at different F.O.B location across the map, so there is on Mortar for each F.O.B with maximum capacity of 2 of 2 Mortars per Map, since the Artilhary Vehicle is Mobile. I played 8 Years Project Reality. My Complements to all SQUAD Staff , you are doing a 10 Star Job, signed by Tupac Pereira.
