Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics, etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).

As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest. §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs. §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:

It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments. §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. Hello guys, Last game I played, I had little "covert-ops" squad, we crawled our way to flank enemy FOB. When we got in we encountered vehicle behind sandbag cover, ATGM and some HMG emplacements. Since we were a small squad we couldnt take them on, so we tried diversion and to deconstruct some things. Short story, after all effort and crawling they heard us when we begun shoveling and killed us . So I was wondering if it could be possible to give Squad Leader or some other role "Thermite tactical grenade", which we use in insurgency, for situations when you can't be loud. Place it on HMG or ATGM to destroy it. Place it on logi truck to damage its engine, use it to destroy ammo crate, or at least reduce ammo points when placed on it, and things like that... But nerf it so you can't 1 shot FOB radio or maybe make it impossible to use on that, make it ineffective against HABs, Tanks, APCs etc... What do you think ?
AKM is my favorite weapon, but also I like to play the role of squadleader make more various Squadleader kit or change ar74 to AKM pls ______________________________________________________________________________ Also please reduce recoil of AKM During the lying, it is really too strongly
The last time I will slowly get sad again, the game what was so cool with the NearVoice, Squad Chat and SquadLeader chat slowly gets the problem of Teamspeak to feel, as well as of people the Squad with COD confuse. I come as Medic an People Respawn. All the Time, they die, i will bandage and respawn... SquadLeaders simply do not talk, whole squads refuse squadleader communication and do what they want. I do not know where it comes from all of a sudden, but I notice it clearly now. I have no exact idea how to avoid this, but maybe the brilliant team of Squad has an idea how to remind the people that we are not with COD and these VoiceChat functions are not for no reason. Russia spawn on German or English Server and only speak Russia. i love the game, but it is a little bit sad Maybe even a microphone patch with check to be squadleader? The Squaleaders are the Important Roles. When this guys dont speak and the squad do what he want , the other squads get even though they then communicate ticket problems and many more problems Please do not blame me for this post, it should only provide information to keep the game at the level where it actually belongs. In the hard tactical shooter area. I hope my english is okay. i am german and not so good in english
Hello guys, finally I am looking forward to get the ingame Skins for the founders/Squad leader edition to work. I have redeemed the codes for Music and the SL Perks on steam and theyre listed on my Squad. In my Steam inventory i have 7 Items from squad. Founder Badge, Squad Leader Badge, 3 M4A1 Skins and 2 AK74 Skins. On another thread somebody wrote to delete all game files from steam and delete the Squad folder in %appdatalocal% (not sure if it was exactly this link, but anyway, i deleted the folder in the correct path) and re-downloaded all gamefiles and installed Squad again. I went into the came to settings and game options, but there was still nothing to select... What am I doing wrong? As you can see, my steam account is linked to this forum aswell. But I am not sure if i linked it before i redeemed the squad leader perks... I wanna hear from you, Michael

Standarized Squads "the Omega Protocols" Foreword I am new to Squad, but i am a Project Reality Veteran with more than 1000 Rounds as Squadleader. At PR there was all the time a Problem to play decent with Randoms, specially as German, there are to many languages in Europe (More than 24). And the ability to speak English means not that it is easy for everyone, specially when it comes to a fight. So you need a set of Commands everybody in the Squad understand. As a clan this is easy, all you need a half hour to train together and you know all essentials. But if you decide to join no Clan, and you play only with "randoms" there is a big issue. Even for Squads only containing "Randoms" Speaking the same Language. So i decidet to make two Guides on Steam First guide, "From Noob to Pro" Contains all you need to know as Player. From setup to the Knowledge what a Fireteam is. But there is no Point to make Rules. In fact every Squadleader can lead a Squad by his own taste. And this is good so. But to play decent as a Squad there are some Questions you have to answer every Round Fireteams ? 2 or 3 or not ? Who should have which Kit ? What is the guarding Direction of each Member ? and more. To get 2 Men to build a FOB during the other 6 Defend a Flag can so be a Nightmare. So i decidet to make a Additional Guide. "The Omega Protocols" You can recognize Omega Squads and Player at the Ω as first Letter in Name. A Omega Squad is nothing Special, its more a Standard a Squad should have. by Joining it you took a Role (3rd Picture). And all in the Squad know a small set of Commands So it is really easy to work as team. The Target is a Easy to undertand set of rules, able to learn in less than 20 Minutes. (Sure not to learn memorized, a look on a printout wouldnt be wrong) And one Question, i search High Res Pictures of the maps, at PR i took them out of the Game Files, at Squad i have actuall no Clue where to find Can you give me there a tip ?

In my view, you would need here a deceleration. movement 1. now we have fast walk as standart ! is this your standart ? the maps are not so big . then chance the standart to walk ! this is the normal speed on patrol. and give the leaders time. and give them a more real touch. set the standart to walk ! but walk is too fast now. a normal walk speed would be nice. ( with a nice animation ) limited walk fast ( what is this in english - go ? ) with a large limit. run for go in saver position and attack with this actual limit is ok it is ok as it is squadleader and map / leading tools - 1. the sqadleaders need more time to make a plan with the other leaders bevor the round begin. - add a ok button for map start for the leaders with a timer . max time for planing 3-5 min. 2. a topographic map. with divided UTM grid 10 boxes in one UTM grid with numbers 1-10 ! for better leading. 3. more signs for the map arrows and line stuff. all in a personal color from the diverent squad ! and here all squads have here own color ! map time. in 80% is the time to short. for a tactical gameplay. tickets out ..... in the time in the battle in which one makes a new plan. and you move with your squad tactical over the map. slowly and hide, exploit the terrain. the tickets are down. the game leaves no time for tactical depth ! 1. add more ticktes in the ticket pool ! and make a second ticket pool for every squad ! 2. the new personal ticket squad pool - rewarded good squads. the squad ticket tool counts only if the main pool is down. maybe 50 tickets for every squad. 3. medic healing gives 2 tickets. which can consider the people to wait for an medic. too often they give up because they just want to quickly go in the match. give up extend time ! 3. team kill gives - 5 tickets , this prevents ticket farming with the new 2 ticket for healing with the medics.
Regarding the Squadleader Kit/Role, it has come to my attention that there are more squads than there are players in squads. An idea that would be suitable to counter this issue would be to have the option for servers to toggle on an option that would allow a squad to get full before makeing a new squad or makeing this a permanent feature for the game to enforce more of a coordinated game and not have a small group roaming around being a nuisance to the team.
What do you guys think of providing Squad leaders with a very limited number of HE (~2) and a few smokes or flares for the UGL. I think this would add a lot of utility to the class and make squads more versatile. I don't want to see an increase in grenade spam so thrown grenades should be reduced for the SL accordingly. Fewer thrown smokes and no hand grenade. Thoughts?
Could anyone please tell me where i have to go or who to contact to get my squad leader pack refunded? reason is that i thought i could play pre alpha and play with my friends but now i checked the forum after i brought the game (stupid i know...) My friend brought squad leader on kickstarter and thats why i thought that squad leader here was the same... So could i either pay more for closed pre-alpha or get a refund? since i don't want to wait 6-7 weeks...
