      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  3. Is anyone here using shadowplay to record their gameplay? I have been doing it for a few months now with no issues at all but recently all my recordings are black screen with audio. I use VLC as primary video player, all my codecs are up to date, windows is up to date and even when trying to view recordings with other programs like windows media player the recordings are still showing the black screen...
  4. Hello, i'm struggling with squads CTD and since patch 9.15 i have constantly unplayable game. My rig is pretty decent i5-4670k @4,2ghz, gtx1080 16gbRAM. I don't have memory leak or any hardware related problems. I've checked memory drain in game thinking that it may be a problem but game is stable around 7-10Gb. Ok so i'll go to description of my problem. After launching squad when manu is fully booted something like virtual clock is started every time after 10-45s game just shuts off to desktop without any error msg, I've tried reinstallation, clean install, installation on other HDD or SSD nothing is working, every time problem is exactly the same. I've checked different Netframework versions, and tried reinstallation of EAC There is one option to make game run longer, for approx 30min-1h it happens only when i reboot my PC deleting all config files same time, after that there is like some percentage of chance that game will start just fine. it's working roughly 2/10 times. After that i need to set all my setting back to what i use with keybindings and everything still its not giving me 100% repeatability because i could live with that considering its alpha but sadly its not working like intended. I've googled all the forums and found some dudes had same problem but for them deleting configs worked and using that once they fixed their game. In my case im struggling for long time to make game playable for me. I've never before experienced major bug that i couldn't fix on my own and i'm playing since kickstarter campanie. This weekend I've tested a10 and problem still exists with this version.
  5. Hello guys! So when squad was announced, I bought the 70$ squad leader edition on kickstarter. I got access to the game before it was on steam along with skins for the M4/AK. My question is, how do I activate them? I never bothered activating them because I lost the email at the time but now I have it back where I have the receipt and such. Is there a code? If so, where would I type in this code? And, how do I activate my founder tag on the offical forum? Thank you.
  6. Hello! A bit of a pickle, and I have absolutely no idea what is causing it. Little bit of background information- Updated to Windows Fall Creator Update last night - Before that, worked absolutely, perfectly fine. Updated to newest nVIDIA drivers - Before that, worked absolutely fine. Every other game works perfectly fine in Fullscreen. NiOh, The Division, The Evil Within 2, Shadow of War, Witcher 3. When I switch it to Borderless, it stops. I cleared my cache. It was fine until I restarted the game. I have no clue what's causing it, when every other game is fine - Except Squad. E:// Fixed it by going into Nvidia control panel - Change Resolution, going to the bottom / Use NVIDIA color settings - Apply
  7. Hey there, Ever since the last update I have been suffering from high pings/rubber banding. It will periodically fall to 40 for one minute then shoot up to 500-600 and idle around there for a few minutes before falling again. This happens no matter what server I join. I am from the UK and it happens on uk servers, too. http://beta.speedtest.net/result/6816996792.png My internet connection is not the problem. It is wired to my PC with a cat6a cable. I routinely reset my router and what have you. I clean my pc a couple of times a week. I have zero ping issues in any other game I play. Just seems to be Squad. I have also cleaned game cache data as well Is this a known thing? Can anyone give me any clues on how to fix this annoyance? I just want to play the game x) .
  8. from Discord #support i am joining you! same problem here, been playing from a couple years untill last week.. i don't understand if it's a squad problem or AMD, if it's AMD would it help to roll back to previous update? i am going nuts that i don't understand what's the problem! tryed all you guys suggested.. check files, clear cache data, run all updates of windows/steam/AMD, tryed to close gaming evolve, fresh installation on my SSD.. all without success btw my CPU is i7 4790 and GPU is R9 390x with 16GB RAM can't wait to get back in action! EDIT: it seems i've fixed by just closing the app of AMD "PLAY's TV" as it's closed it seems working smoothly... damn weird!
  9. I start the game, it gave me a error which basically says: Command 0x40713b61 used 0x00000000 location(?). That location can't be read. Using I5 2500K, AMD card, 4G RAM WIN7, updated driver about a week ago. Tried verify intergrity of game files as well as start the game as admin. I tried the game during the last free weekend, and it worked fine. Hi First of all sry for my bad English Well today I installed Squad And it seemed normal Till I lunched the game after showing the completed Bar and showing the Icon of the game it just disappear and nothing happens I closed Steam and went to lunch it from the steam folder And after clicking on The game it lunched fine but it gave me an error about "EasyAntiCheat Error : Faild to create |Game Client instance! Cjeck that the game was run from the correct launcher. Online Play may not be available." Already tried most of the solutions but none of them worked I really dont know what to do

  14. I was playing yesterday fine, but today when I try to load up the game i get this error. I've now updated my drivers, etc. I checked my directx diagnostics and level 10.0 is working. The game also runs fine without anticheat so I'm thinking the anticheat is causing the error somehow. please help
  15. Got a weird 1-GB patch when I started steam when I tried to play Squad today, and it seems to have broken the game. Already been through the quick-fixes, reinstall EAC, reinstall the game, verify integrity of game files, clear cache data, etc. When starting the game, I get a series of asset errors, and trying to join a server results in a variety of errors ranging from an invalid auth token to an Unreal Engine crash. Specs: i7-3770k @ 4.5GHz 16GB Corsair Vengance Ram 256GB Samsung Evo 840 SSD Asus GTX 1080 Dedicated PCi Ethernet Card In the middle of writing this, I tried to download the game from another Steam Server. Downloaded completely and tried starting it, got a BSOD. Lost all of the EAC error snapshots. Steam now says the game is not installed, despite all of the files being there. While I played the steam circus of making file space to install a game that already exists, I reinstalled my graphics card drivers since Google said to do that. (BSOD code 1033). Steam proceeded to download more files. Fired up the game, got a single EAC error. https://imgur.com/a/SCu1W At least I can snip it. I'm now able to join a server. Walked around for a few seconds, get EAC Kicked: Authentication Timed Out. I'm pretty sure this issue has more to do with my PC now than Squad, but I'm still posting this just in case someone knows some black magic. **** me.
  16. Hi, when i load squad when the second logo with the unreal details is done and i can see tab in taskboard is created. Tab vanished and i am back to my desktop.   17. Hello, my name is Max and I have just purchased Squad about an hour ago. I am very excited to play, however the game consistently crashes after opening. My experience is as follows: I log into steam, go to my library, select squad, click play, the game opens, the squad title logo appears and short movie like action clips of the soldiers play in the logo area, the clips fade to the solid white logo, the music stops, then the screen goes black with only the mouse cursor available for movement. There is no sound or anything to click on. I open the windows task manager and next to the Squad title is says "not responding" in red lettering. I don't know much about computers, so far I have attempted rebooting the computer. I have not yet deleted and re installed the game, but plan to do so. Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem before, and are there any solutions?
  18. Hi All, I know this topic has been addressed somewhat but hopefully someone can still help as the suggested fix doesn't resolve my problem. I've been playing Squad for around 300+ hours (including pre-vehicle implementation) with no error, except after the last update. Now, it's completely unplayable as I can not connect to any server due to the 'Server Closed Connection' error. When I click to enter a server, it shows a glimpse of the map and then redirects back to the Squad Quick Map and then back to the main menu, with the 'Server Closed Connection' problem. These are the steps I've tried: Deleted game cache within game Deleted local app data (Squad folder) Ran SuicidalChair troubleshooter and checked logs -Disabled/Re-enabled Windows Firewall -Uninstalled the game completely + reinstalled I've tried all the suggested fixes and sometimes it will randomly work, but if I make any changes to game settings (to change the default resolution of 1600x900 to 3820 x 2160 or anything else, the error will come back. Anyone have any advice or guidance in this matter? Some tech support would be fantastic. Computer Specs (not relevant, but putting them here just in case): 6850k i7 32 GB DDR4 Titan X Pascal (SLI) Windows 10 That being said, if someone else has any idea, that would be wonderful.   20. Hey, i just bought the game, and what a surprise, it is unplayable... I got a GTX 970, 8gb RAM, i5 5680 oc on a GM204-A. And i'm in low, on 720p, and i got 15 fps or less. The matter is i can play to Witcher, Fallout, Rainbow Six,... in high settings, but idk why squad is just unplayable, some people telled me "yup is the new update, a lot of people have many lags" did it's true or dev's just miss the optimization? ty for your reply. and sorry for my english, it's not my first language

  22. I've seen some similar threads to my issue, but I haven't seen this particular issue or a resolution to it. I'm able to get a server list most of the time, but I often have to reboot because I'm not getting any servers in my server list. After rebooting, I'm able to see servers show up in my list. I don't have any filters set in the game. I don't have any anti-virus, don't have a firewall program, windows firewall is disabled, I don't have a router, I'm running straight through to the modem. I have an Asus motherboard not a MSI. I've seen in similar threads people are suggesting opening up certain ports. I'm not dealing with a router issue though because I'm not using one. The modem should be open on all ports, and as I've said, it works fine after a reboot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. I have searched the related threads and cannot understand why with my new system and a well defragged hard drive, the game simple loads far too slowly. I have deactivated squad in my anti virus, thus it doesnt have to check the files on start up. I have the game defragged to be on high performance. Does anyone have any other ideas I could try? In my squad.exe properties, under compatibility tab, it was set to windows 8 and i'm windows 10. TURN OFF compatibility mode if you are using windows 10.
