      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. hello everybody my founder skins won't show up on servers or on the firing range. I can activate them in the game settings but nothing happens. Also my veterant skins won't work. I know that they had worked, but I can't remember the last time. Can someone help me fixing this problem? Thanks
  2. More Veteran Skins

Hey Will there be more veteran skins coming our way? For example, just a plain woodland or desert camo for Russian faction would be a nice addition. Thanks
  3. If I have founder skins enabled in menu I can not connect to a server. It just says Loading... for a while and throws me back into mainmenu. As soon as I disable the skins it says Loading Mapname-build-etc.. and drops me ingame. If I enable the skins while I am on the server I will get disconnected. Windows 10 ENTERPRISE 64-bit, cleared cache, verified steam files. Tried running excutables with Win 7 compatibility - no difference.
  4. Founder

Hi! I havent been playing so much Squad lately, (waiting for it to get better and better) and now I noticed I dont have my skins anymore as Squad Leader founder. I know I had it before and when I looked on the forums I dont have a founder tag aswell. Read something about a key(?) that ive either missed or never recived... EDIT *(And yes, I have checked my ingame settings and inventory at steam)* Anyhow, I want my skins + tag ingame as I paid for it Thanks for the help! Out Slangen
  5. I now have founder skins?

Hey guys, specially the game devs, for no aparent reason, i got betwen 60 to 70 new items on steam last night for squad, it consists of the ak and m4 skins and some founder badges, repeating over and over to a total of 64. I can enable them, but there are around 70 skin switches on the game menu that repeat. Can a dev tell me whats going on? I wish i could keep these but i wanna warn the devs
  6. just had a look at your preview British skin ....... guys its OK but technically incorrect --- 1. the PRR should be on the left shoulder 2. the ammo pouches breast plate was removed in 2012 due to frag damage 3. ammo pouches should be on the left or right side of the Osprey Armour 4. a small medic pouch is liocated on the right hand side 5 the backpack (day sack) details are almost right but again changed please check the British army backpack just a little info hope it helps
  7. missing founder items

so i haven't been in squad or on the forum in a month or so and i noticed a link steam to the forum so ive done that and i dont have my founder forum tag or my in game founder skins. any one els have this issue? do i just have to wait a few hours for things to work out or do i need to get a hold of support?.
  8. How do you feel, about having "Officially" acknowleged Skins, like Valve does it with CS:GO Skins? This could make a player more disguised, or popping out in certain Terrain. I think this would give the Community something to do, when they are getting boored of playing all the time, but stil want to give something to the game. PROS: - Camouflgage - Developers don't need to make them - Fun for users CONS: - Devs. have to implement that option - Work. If you want to see this in-game, lets do this and bump this Thread!
  9. Well. We all saw the post regarding the new Aks being worked on. It is quite nice and I need to agree!!!!! However, do their is any possible way to make 1 more m4 kit or something? They can use the current one and only put a foregrip on it :3? They will only need to design a foregrip and nothing more? What about you guys? Squad devs keep up the good work :)!
  10. This is a question to the developers about how the upcoming character models will be implemented into the game. Will each character model be made of a single unique mesh, like the current temporary characters, or will characters be constructed in engine with multiple separate meshes (vests, heads, clothes etc)? I ask this out of interest for asset system design in games and for future modding. It's understandable if this is something that you guys don't want to publicly discuss, but i thought now would be a good time to ask since it appears you've got permanent character assets in development. Thanks for all of your time and effort on the game, and i cannot wait to see the new characters in action.
  11. So I think that when clans are eventually added it would be awesome for the clan leader to be able to design a clan weapon skin. I was thinking this could be the same skin for every player or there could be a base skin to which each member could add their own personal touch. I'm not sure how clans are going to work and I assume the developers don't know fully yet either but I'm assuming they will be able to be made by anybody as long as they meet in-game requirements like a skill level and minimum members to start kind of thing. This is a long shot but instead of or with the clan skin there could be a clan hat that the members' player models wear into battle or maybe just a patch on their shoulders. Also when the player base is larger it would be nice to have the ability to join a game with your clan and be automatically put into a squad together, maybe even choosing who will be squad leader/kit before hand. Also something that would be awesome is if you have a large clan that you can group members into squads and they will always play together unless swapped manually. I assume this will be added but a game mode/matches only for clans to fight eachother would be awesome and this would begin the competitive aspect of the game and allow for a clan leaderboard and organised tournaments with the top clans. TY for reading my idea, i hope this will influence the developers. Unless of course they have long since discussed these topics which they probably have. Please leave your opinions on this and list your own ideas for this.
  12. I saw someone in the youtube comments making this suggestion: Add random Weapon skins to different weapons so not every soldier has the same weapon in their hands. This would look realistic and absolute awesome. Maybe 3 per weapon? Obviosly this is something for later on after the game is almost finished. But I think thats a nice idea for the visuals.
  13. Founder Alt. Skins

So, out of curiosity, what are we looking at in terms of the alternate weapon skin for the primary weapons? I'm sure you guys haven't even started on them yet, and they're low priority, but I think when it comes to Kickstarters you should be as transparent as possible with what people will be getting when they help fund the game. Are you thinking of something major like a Vz.58 for the AKM, something a bit different like black polymer furniture or a folding stock or some camoflauge paint, or something very minor like some tape on the foregrip and stock with some wear and tear on the metal?
  14. Sooo, the latest build turned out to contain some files it should not. For a while now, BlueDrake42 was asking kindly to put a Hello Kitty skin into the game. This is what I've been able to find: Personally, I don't know what to think about it...
  15. Star Wars Skins

I think some Clone Trooper and Mandalorian Skins (or a hole new gamemode for this) would be nice. Star Wars Battlefront 3 is not going to have them, and the community is angry about it. I think if you make such a mode, a lot of gamers which wanted to buy BF3 will support your game. And it would be so awesome to play a clone trooper in a squadbased, tactical game. Just think about it. Keep up the great work, guys! Cpt John Riley
