      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  3. Ok here is my question. I get different ping when I am in server list and inside the game . For example if i see a server with 150 ping in server list, when I join the game the ping shows 350 . This happens with like few servers often . By the way I am from India and have a good internet connection. This happens only with this game.

    Server Rules for Mid-West Coast Tactical Listed below are some basic rules for the server. If you are found in violation of any of these rules you will be subject to being kicked or banned from our server. These are in place to provide a fun and healthy playing environment for all of those on Mid-West Coast Tactical. Generally the admin will first provide a warning before any action is taken, but they are not required to. Do not team kill for any reason If you are having a problem with another player, then report it to the admin. Don't just start team killing. It is not worth you getting banned over something stupid. If you have been purposely attacked by a fellow teammate, then report him/her to the admin. If you accidentally team kill another player, then acknowledge it in the "ALL CHAT" so the admin doesn't kick or ban you. Do no shoot or camp at the enemy's main base Do not lay in wait for the enemy to roll out of the protected zone to destroy them. This includes placing IEDs just outside of the enemy main. Do not use your main base's protected zone as a shield to attack enemy players If the admin warns you to back away from the enemy main, do it. Do not cheat or glitch Report anyone cheating or any glitches that have been found to the admin If a player is found in violation of this, then he/she will be banned Do not insult other players We are all adults, mostly, but don't be an asshole. We are all here to have a good time and play the game If you are having problems with another player please report it with an admin. This includes grieving, ammo spamming at FOBs, and all forms of trolling. I propose something I coin Team calibration indicator, a small percentage indicator in the score board for each side and a small coloured icon for Squad leaders. how it works; every time the map changes, the server tracks who stays on the server and within the same team. If everyone stays exactly the same you team will get a team calibration score of 100%. if say on team 2 (36 players) 12 players leave the server and 12 new people join, the calibration will drop to 66%. what this allows is a form of prematch inteligence that can really help teamwork in that SLeaders in particular know what they are working with and can adjust their command style to suit. additionally each squad leader will have a red amber or green colour higlighting their current play session calibration. red = 1st game as SL amber = 2 green =3 sessions played. this allows the squad members to trust the judgment of their SL and thus more likeley to follow orders without bickering. this information is purely per session and does not track into other games, something i would be very carefull to implement as we dont want there to be a barrier to being SL. ie SL rank where people dont join your squad because you have no experience tracked and thus never get any experience etc etc I wrote a big long intro why i thought this would be usefull to me and then my phone died.. So i will leave this to the community to think about how this may help or hinder SQAUDS gameplay. For me the main (not really an issue) issue is... it takes a few games to know if the teams are unbalanced.. a few rounds to learn if the other side is well organised, and then what tactics to implement to succesfully battle the enemy.. then i have to stop cos 3 games is like 3 hrs sometimes. I open this up to the community to imagine if this is a usefull indicator, go!

  12. After familiarizing myself with squad and having lots of fun in the process, I decided to put my server to use on the game. I'm able to easily run 80 slots, but without any fellow squad players to seed the server, it is difficult to get players and set up some of the events I was hoping to do. I'm a mature player with a teamwork oriented mindset and I'd love to join a clan that is both mature and not afraid of having some fun.
  13. Hi, So I have played SQUAD before on a free weekend and I had no issues. However I have recently purchased it and to put it simply, it's unplayable. I can't join any servers, (Disconnects me from queue after 10 seconds), and when I go into training I run in place or I move forward at a snails pace. I also try and jump and I go up in an almost jittery fashion almost like I was majorly lagging. I know it's not frame lag as when I stand still and look around there is no frame drops. The trees move smoothly and my gun fires smoothly also. Also to note I had a message pop-up when I first started the game saying "EasyAntiCheat engine did not load properly, you may not have access to multiplayer". I have restarted the game multiple times before then and it never showed that message again. To be safe I went into the folder where EasyAntiCheat is stored and repaired it using the setup application. I have also tried deleting the Squad file in Appdata. I had seen that by disabling steam inventory in the game settings, it may have fixed the issue. But I know this isn't my issue either cause I haven't received any items from the game yet. So can anyone help me with this? *Computer Specs* GTX 1060 6GB 16GB DDR4 RAM I7 6700HQ 2.60GHz

  22. White Listed Server?

    Big Question ! With a maintainable server population, What would the communities impression be towards a white listed server? As my server population has been maintaining a full player base @ 60 players with 72 slots and 12 set in reserve to ensure server performance above 50 tic. I've been lulling over the idea creating a white listing system for our player base. How I would implement this system? I would slowly roll out the white listed player population in chunks of 10, Effectively increasing the white list limit by each amount weekly as our player base grows. I would effectively leave X amount of space for non-community member players and slowly reduce the available community slots until it reaches the goal of just 10 community slots. For example: Week One: 50 community 10 reserve --> Week Two: 40 community 20 reserved --> Week Three: 30 community --> 30 reserved. The Goal? Well the goal would be to create a valuable player base that is recognizable where individual players come to know each other. Why? Back in the day, we used to typically pick our favorite servers and religiously play on them. We knew the admins, we knew almost all the players. It created a space and a real community I'd like to bring that back .

    Okay so what happend is i got banned on a server. I dont know how the ef or even how. But i'm really confused i dont do annoy people Play on casual mode and dont team kill anybody. how the eff can somebody explain this to me? Is this some how by accident that some one had the same steam name as me? I've been playing there like not that much. Its free candy van.
