Section I: Posting Rules §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users. §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with. §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time. §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics, etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal. §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest. §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.

§10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.

It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments. §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly. §4 Bans and multiple accounts

Hello, Me and my friend are playing on 55" monitors. So the 120° FOV is really appreciated, however it really bugs us when using scopes. It "seems" that it doesn't zoom, even if the zoom level is exactly the same as when using default FOV. What gives this impression, is the fact that the scope appears very tiny on the screen. And while it feels more immersive to not have a small FOV on a big 55" monitor, the "small scope circle", makes it very difficult to see what's being actually zoomed on with. Therefore, my suggestion, is to have an option that would enable automatic switching of FOV when scoping. Finally, this is already present in most other games with adjustable FOV that I am playing, as the scope fills the screen whatever FOV I'm in, when playing battlefield. I could understand that it could be see as cheating at it's providing possibly a better understanding of the suroundings, however trust me, it's very uncomfortable to play/run with a small FOV with such monitor, and also very incomfortable to scope with large FOV as the scope's circle becomes very tiny. Hi has anyone seen a smilar thing like this happen to them, Its the first time and the only that it happened to me: I have not seen this except this one time so i dont know exactly how it happened or how to recreate the problem!
Before update 9, Squad ran smoothly. Now, when I join a game and press ENTER, this happens. And I cannot move the map/screen around at all. I've tried everything; changing the resolution, changing from borderless to window, verify integrity of game files etc. I can zoom in on the map and spawn somewhere, but the moment I die, I cannot GIVE UP. My screen won't move over, so I cannot click GIVE UP. I either have to wait for a medic, or I have to wait until my guy dies. Either way, it's frustrating. Can someone help please? Thanks.
When I launch squad from steam the initial small loading screen with the logo passes fairly quickly. From there I get the little cut scene contained within the squad logo. After this is when I tend to sit with a black screen for 2 or more minutes before the usual controls display graphic shows up, at which point I wait another minute or so before being brought to the main menu. I get the same problem when I go to load into a server, a minute or two of black screen followed by a minute or so of the controls graphic before finally getting into a match. I have no issues running the game smooth as butter once I'm actually in (almost 100hrs of gameplay show no issues with the in game performance). I am running the game from a HDD not an SSD as I don't have the available funds to upgrade that, not that it appears it would make a difference. Two of my roommates have the game, one runs it off an SSD and one also runs off an HDD and both have drastically faster loading times than me. Any idea whats up? Some specs of my rig that may apply?: 1TB HDD (defragmented routinely) Intel i5 8GB ram GTX960 Thanks a lot for any suggestions guys!
Hello, Is it possible to implement a color saturation setting because I find the atmosphere of the game too funny, the colors are too flashy and it is a shame for a war athmosphere ... the color level design Maps is not terrible. PLEASE HELP i bought the game last night, and it opens up fine, but when i join a server or training, when i spawn everythings black except the interface, i can still move around and hear footsteps and i can shoot, but everything other than the interface is black. Please help im running AMD radeon 6790m iMac 2010 8gb RAM 2 TB memory intel i7 im using parallels to run windows 10

Problem first occurred after i patched to 4.0 and still remains on 4.1. SPECS: Acer S27HL Monitor Windows Resolution: 1980x1080 i5-3470 CPU 8GB RAM GeForce GTX980 Windows 10 Pro In-Game Graphic settings: I've set everything to "Low", "Off" or "None". (I also turned everything on and to Epic as a test. No change.) Resolution Scale 120% (I also tested it with 200%, 100% and so on. No change.) FOV set to 90 Resolution 1980x1080 Squad Config changes: I've set max fps to '60' in the GameEngine.ini. No other changes. NVIDIA Control Panel: I had some settings changed, but deleted the whole Squad-profile as a test. Had no effect on the flickering. NVIDIA GeForce Experience: Version 220.127.116.11 GTX 980: Driver version 361.75 The flickering gets stronger the faster i move my mouse or starting to sprint. It's no complete black-screen-flickering (a Windows 10 bug). It's a vertical flickering mostly in the middle of the screen near the weapon. I have no FPS drops while this occurrs. It doesn't appear randomly, it's just always visible if you're standing in the right position and moving your screen. As you can image it is really annoying and won't let you focus on playing the game anymore. I hope somebody can help me with this problem. Thank you guys in advance! Best regards, Endgame
A Reddit user (macgivor) pointed this out to me the other day. The Squad Quick Start Guide may have one word on there that continues to enforce the myth that the enemy can hear the local VOIP. I suggest better/clearer wording for when you guys touch up the loading screen. :)
Hello! Since the closed beta for squad leaders, and now in the current patch for Squad on Steam, whenever I enter a server my screen is a bright green color. I am not sure how to get rid of it, or why it the issue persists. When I mess around with the gamma bar in settings, the screen's green brightness lessens just a little bit when I turn gamma to maximum, but it still remains. The pictures I am linking are with the gamma on maximum--if it weren't on maximum, it is impossible to see anything. This is my first topic post here, guys! I've used the search function and didn't find anything directly related to what I'm about the suggest. They're pretty minor things anyways. Injured Debuffs - I think it'd be nice to have some hefty injury effects on player movement, aiming and visibility. Where the player was hit and how badly should be the main focus, methinks. For example, if you are hit in the leg, your character might move with a limp, and therefore aiming while moving will be harder, as well as the loss of the ability to sprint fast. Getting hit in the arms would affect aiming (even when standing still, or prone without a bipod) and getting hit in the head or having a grenade explode near you would affect visibility (flashing red vignette, blurriness, other psychedelic effects). Basic torso injuries should cause shaking and lesser versions of the debuffs mentioned above. I think that this will be an addition to the realism that Squad is aiming for. As for death screens - I think it'd be interesting to shy away from the classic "time until REALLY dead" countdown style, and do something a bit more interesting and intense. I was thinking along the lines of a heartbeat which starts to slow down over time and varies depending on how badly you are injured. It could even speed up when a defibrillator shocks you (if those are added at all, I wouldn't be rattled if they weren't). Another small thing is that I'd like sound to be muffled when dead or unconscious, instead of pristine or gone entirely. Same goes for grenade hits and basic injuries. The latter paragraph was pretty much entirely assuming that a revive style system is going to be added, or at least unconsciousness. If that isn't going to be added, the only part to be acknowledged is the part about audio muffling. Hell, these things might already be basic planned for features (or already in the game for all I know) but I thought it was worth suggesting. I'm all for the little details in these kinds of games.
If I understood correctly there will be a revive system just like in BF2: PR and that means there will be a wounded state were we'll need to wait for a medic to come and revive us, in PR this means waiting up to 4m:59s (after that we're "dead-dead") and even after those 5m we might wait a few more until we get a spawn opportunity. My suggestion would be instead of having a black screen or a wounded one (bloody screen but w/o moving the camera we can still see) we would automatically jump to the eyes of a random squad member and see him playing. Some may this would be a bit unfair because in the end you could have 9 (8 wounded/dead + player) pair of eyes watching the same image but the comms delay would mitigate this con and by allowing us watching others player you: Would solve the "Dead people talking" issue - in BF2: PR its common to use mumble (Voiver over IP) to alert friendlies about the enemy position, not only that but if said enemy starts to reload or patching the wounded/dead player can broadcast that information which is annoying in some cases. If you're not in your "body" that means the enemy player is not in an unfair situation.Would solve the boring part - Like previously stated you can spend >5m watching the same wounded/dead screen which might lead to people alt-tabbing until we hear that we'll get a revive, with this system we can still be entertain even if not doing anything.Would create a better teaching technique - If you're dead and you're a new player you would be able to see how better players are still alive, when do they use cover and/or move, or how do they supress, ectAnd that's it.
Squad 'Battle Recorder' Suggestion is for a feature that is the equivalent of Battlefield 2's Battle Recorder. Might be hard to produce one and cause many bugs but there's some ammount of uses: Catching Cheaters, Exploiters and so onDev usage as trailerPlayer footage for game promotionBug catchingPossibly other usesIf it was to be done then try to include a rewind feature or timeline (looks at Battle Recorder with angry face). Obviously not an essential to the game but it does have it's uses in the long term yet it wouldn't be unexpected for SQUAD to not have the feature as the competition doesn't tend to have the feature as far as I'm aware.
