As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with. §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time. §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics, etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal. §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest. §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs. §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. §10 Images in posts

It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments. §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. The quality of experience on all public servers has dropped due to new players unfamiliar all flooding the servers within a similar time frame. If you're new to a title like this, what a mess of a first experience you'll have. ~16000 players towards the end of July back down to approx ~6500. All this does is turn players away from the game and I've noticed a lot of what are/would have been regular players (especially due to the smaller size of the AUS/NZ player base you saw the same names often) have seem to taken a break from the game due to the reduction in quality of any given game. I think a model of slower longer duration growth, maybe free weekends or so after every significant update that involves new assets or maps is simply smarter and retains a better average experience level within the player base (which is what new players need to understand this game).
Hey guys. From the first time I installed the game, I'm having issues with the graphics. First of all, I have 2x GTX 770 4GB but for Squad I'm using Single GPU Profile (SLI seems to be causing problems). However, regardless of what graphic settings I use, the foliage (trees, flowers etc) seems very "textury" and ugly. Even if I set foliage to Epic along with 1.5 supersampling, the improvement is so minor that I can't even notice any difference at all. Is that normal? I have attached 2 in-game screenshots along with my settings. Thanks in advance.
Seriously. Play the original Far Cry on any EAX supporting card. It beats the shit out of basic stereo/5.1/7.1 Most games will give you a basic "left/right/front/back" but there's no "above/below" or effects based on what the sound passes through/around to get to you. It's stunning that HRTF isn't more popular since it gives people so much precision for their sound. Right now it sounds amazing, but the precision isn't there. In PR hearing a chopper flying overhead or the various effects for firearms distances and the like was pretty badass. I seriously hope the Devs implement OpenAL or HRTF or something similar so headphone users are 100% aware of their surroundings. Aside from that I'd be nice to be able to spot enemies past 50m where the world just turns into a pixelated mess I've never seen in any other game.
Hallo, Ik wil graag een team oprichten met Nederlandse spelers die het leuk vinden om samen voor de fun een beetje te gamen op Squad. Bewust kies ik er niet voor om in clan verband te spelen omdat ik daar helaas geen tijd voor heb i.v.m werk, het is dus echt puur voor de fun en je niet telkens Engels hoeft te praten wat in de meeste servers wel gewoon verplicht is. Wat me wel leuk lijkt is om eventueel ooit een teamspeak servertje op te zetten en iets met een site, maar dat zijn dingen die zijn leuk als je met meerdere mensen bent en is natuurlijk zeker geen MOET prive gaat bij iedereen natuurlijk altijd voor..... Wie er geintresseerd is moet natuurlijk wel over een headset beschikken en over goede team play. (Heb zelf alleen nog geen headset morgen pas weer is stuk) steam account: JeffersonNL
Hello, Does anyone have tips for making vids and rendering them? Many of the Squad vids suffer from blurriness and are pretty awful to look at. Including my own. I started to remove Interlacing, motion blur and Frame Blending. Makes it a lot better. Any more tips? Recording in 80Bitrate and render the same. Use Sony Vegas Pro 12. Glhf. PS: Just began with this video stuff. Yes, I'm a noob at it.
Hey everyone. So I don't post here too often, but this is a topic I wanted to hear people's honest thoughts and opinions on. Before you read any further, this is not a hate or rant thread. I am trying to gather honest opinions on what the regulars in Squad think. In my opinion, v7 has made the game less fun, and by a lot. Between the crashing, performance decrease, and gameplay changes, and even with the addition of vehicles, I feel like the game is much less playable and enjoyable. Before anyone says it's Alpha and that the bugs will be fixed, I know. We all know. My real complaint here is with how v7 was rolled out in such a broken state, along with trying to understand how vehicles were meant to enhance the gameplay. That is why they were added I would imagine, to make the game less fun and more tactical. Since the addition of vehicles, it seems Squads no longer stay together. Squad leaders waste a ton of time trying to claim vehicles either at base or remotely from somewhere else. Vehicles seem to have little to no effect even when manned by good veteran crews. In fact, none of the maps even seem to be designed for vehicles, even Yehorivka. Vehicles feel like more of a burden not on just the team, but the gameplay overall. Dare I say, the game is funner with infantry only maps and more tactical than it is with vehicles. Again, NONE of this is because of "noobs" or "new players." Since v7, my time ingame has been decreased DRAMATICALLY. Once you get past the constant crashing, unplayable performance (I get 25-30 FPS with a GTX 1070), and the other quality of life issues such as lack of server browser etc. the game feels so fragmented and disorienting. Squads have difficulty staying together. Vehicles are a burden on the gameplay. Vehicles seem to have no real effect on the outcome of the match, and most rounds end with a 200-400 ticket difference. Games aren't being "turned around" with more tickets. The discrepancy is higher than it was ever before. Most rounds end with a team getting only 60-100 kills, despite the fact that there are 600 tickets. There's a lot to be said, but I don't want to drag this post on. So I've created a poll, and I want to hear your honest thoughts on v7. Questions: 1) Was the patch rolled out responsibly by OWI with the amount of crashes and performance decrease? 2) Were vehicles rushed to please the userbase, rather than making sure they had a real tactical effect on gameplay? 3) How have the new FOB system and claim system affected the TACTICAL feel of the game?

Neste caso, a finalidade do meu tópico é apresentar uma possível e necessária melhoria em relação à qualidade gráfica em relação ao desempenho. Desde quando comecei a jogar Squad "pra valer", sofro com um problema relacionado a "escala de resolução"; por padrão o jogo configura a escala de resolução em um valor aproximado à 120%. Aqui no meu Hardware (que não é fraco), essa é a configuração de resolução que o jogo estabelece para rodar com uma taxa de FPS aceitável, no entanto esse valor bem como qualquer outro valor que esteja abaixo dos 200% deixa a imagem "borrada", dificultando a visualização dos inimigos. Isso não seria um problema se eu ajustasse a escala de resolução para 200%, cujo valor deixa a imagem bem nítida melhorando consideravelmente a detecção dos inimigos; no entanto essa configuração de resolução deixa meu jogo com uma escala muito baixa de FPS. Isso afeta muito meu desempenho pessoal nas partidas, na maioria das vezes eu fico com a pontuação negativa e consequentemente perco rapidamente a vontade de jogar, pois eu tenho que decidir entre FPS alto ou nitidez alta e não há (por enquanto) um meio termo entre essas duas opções! Gostaria que vocês, desenvolvedores, trabalhassem nesse aspecto do jogo, otimizando a qualidade sem sacrificar tanto o desempenho! Por enquanto é isso, espero que vocês possam considerar minha sugestão. The Brazilian community, although small, is a close-knit community, willing to grow and help in the development of the game; is reporting bugs, cheats or presenting possible improvements. In this case, the purpose of my topic is to present a possible and necessary improvement on the graphics quality in relation to performance. Since when I started playing Squad "for real", I suffer with a problem related to "resolution level"; by default the game sets the resolution scale in an approximate value of 120%. Here in my hardware (which is not weak), this is the resolution set by the game in order to run it with a decent FPS rate, however this value and any other value that is below 200% makes the image "blurry ", making viewing difficult enemies. This would not be a problem if I adjust the resolution scaling to 200%, the value of which leaves very clear image greatly improving the detection of enemies; however this resolution setting makes my game with a very low scale of FPS. This greatly affects my personal performance in matches, most of the time I get a negative score and thus quickly lose the will to play, because I have to decide between high FPS or high sharpness, I would like you, developers, worked on that aspect of the game, optimizing the quality without sacrificing much performance! For now it is, I hope you can consider my suggestion. See you! (I apologize if the translation was not perfect. So I've sunk roughly 150 hours into this game only to find that the $2000 computer i have custom built using AMD Hardware gives me a VERY POOR 20-30 FPS am I the only one with this issue?? also when I shoot an SVD my game freeze for a good 2 seconds+. however most people I've asked who use Intel and Nvidia hardware get 90fps+ my specs are; 16GB ram GPU: R9 290 4gb CPU: AMD FX 8350 8core 4.0ghz MSI Motherboard
Punisher posted a topic in Software SupportHi, I wonder if anyone has a solution please: Before the latest update (4.0), the trees and bushes in the game had individual leaves, but since the update the leaves are replaced with green "blobs" like a game from the 1990's. Which graphic setting would affect this? I've tried them all to no avail. Thanks.
