Forum Rules 07/06/2016Introduction The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party. Section I: Posting Rules §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users. §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with. §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time. §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics, etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal. §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest. §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs. §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense. §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
§9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
§10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge. §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings. §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed. Section II: Reporting & Moderation §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments. §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules. §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly. §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

Sgt. McBeardington posted a topic in Teams & ClansConnect with us on Discord: https://discord.me/ar-squad ABOUT US: Armed & Ready is a community focused solely on Squad. We are founded by Combat Veterans, Active Duty Soldiers & Supporters. Our members are tactically effective, mature, drama free, treat others with respect, and are always armed & ready for whatever is thrown our way! We have fun, yet know when to get serious and that is key if you want to play competitively with us. WE OFFER: A Dedicated Discord Server #5 Ranked Squad Server - 80 Players w/ Whitelist (Chicago, IL - US) Official Squad Server ( 18.104.22.168:7787 ) A Fun, Interactive, Mature, and Tactically Minded Community THE ARMED & READY STANDARD - THINGS WE LOOK FOR IN MEMBERS: |1.| ACTIVE - We all have real lives outside of Squad and do not wish to interfere with yours BUT practice/training is expected as we all aim to improve. We encourage our members to be active as much as your schedule allows you to be. In a game like Squad, the more active you are... the better you will become! |2.| ACCURATE - No we are not looking for 30-50 kills every match but you must be able to listen accurately, move accurately, and engage accurately. Clearly the game relies on teamwork, not just kills, but the more kills we get... well the more fun we have! |3.| RELIABLE - We have embraced the motto "quality over quantity." This approach gives the community a tighter, more cohesive feel. It also means our members need to be reliable. You will need to show that you can add something to the team before becoming an official member and you will also need to show that you can be relied upon for: participating in practices, playing in scrims, and of course competing in official matches. On the battlefield you need to be a player that doesn't need 100% guidance all the time. You must be reliable in the sense that you can accept an SL's plan, digest it quickly, and make it happen. WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US: We will work with you, grow with you, train with you, and compete with you. You can expect members to be laid back and to have fun. At the same time, when it comes time to compete, we all put our big boy pants on. The majority of us have served overseas so there is some ***-ish banter but we know how to turn it off when it's time to get serious. We model our community standards/style in game and we have a basic set of rules that include but are not limited to: no racism, bigotry, sexism, discrimination, hacking, spamming, harassment, griefing, etc. CONTACT US: The easiest way to reach us is in-game, or just hop on our Discord server: https://discord.me/ar-squad

Jeepo posted a topic in Teams & ClansWebsite: Tactical Gamer Tactical Gamer is one of the best known and respected communities that played Project Reality. For many years we hosted the busiest and most well organised PR server in existence. We have a history of great Commanders, fantastic Squad Leaders, admins, developers and testers all within our ranks, and this is something that will continue with Squad. Using our own Teamspeak server we run and participate in internal and external scrims. We are very excited about what the team is doing with Squad, and look forward to its progress! Tactical Gamer prides itself on being a community of mature, teamwork-orientated gamers. We believe in playing games with tactics and teamwork, and have little tolerance for other styles of game play. While not all agree with our philosophy, we find that we have had incredible success with it in the past and see no reason why we cannot do so again. If you didn't have the opportunity to play on our Project Reality server before, please browse through our forums to see what we're all about. If you've played with us before then we'd like to welcome you back. We currently play a wide variety of teamwork orientated games, we run ArmA servers, BF4 servers, and our members are to be found in anything where there is cooperation and organisation required. Swing on by our forums and say hello in our new Squad sub-forum. Our membership is in the 10's of thousands across all our games, mostly split between the USA and Europe. Our requirements are that you have a mic, are willing to participate in a teamwork orientated fashion, and have fun. We follow the principles of our primer in all games we play. Welcome to the -LOST- team recruitment page. The first important detail is that -LOST- is a team, not a clan. We are all equals on this team, though we do have trainers and admins with special functions who take charge when it's required. The Team Leader is whoever is leading the squad in-game at the time. With 6.3 bringing new players to Squad, we are actively looking to recruit new TEAM members to add to the awesome people we have now. We are a relaxed mil-sim group. We train and use real life squad tactics, particularly US Marine's infantry tactics. Our head trainer, a US Marine and former trainer of new Marines as well as Iraqi security forces, has brought much to the table. And we use every bit of what we learned to become who we are as a team. We move, talk, act, look, and fight like a real life squad does in the real world. Many of our members have served in the armed services and enjoy vicariously maintaining that feeling. Don't let this scare you. Military service, while a plus, is not a requirement. Those who have not served still enjoy the teamwork, tactics and comradery that is found on the -LOST- team. Currently we are focused on Squad, as it is tailored to our training and style of combat. The more realistic a game, the less we need to adapt our skills in order to fit the game's unique dynamics. You can find all the information you need and apply on our home page at l-o-s-t-.enjin.com/home (copy and past link, thanks obama) Also check out our YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH6bSpexzne5CUMbiDy2eRA
Hello everyone, We are currently looking for new members to play Squad. TCR/2ID has a long history of doing 'Tactical' play in the FPS genre. We have had a presence as far back as Quake 1 and as recently as BF4. We are a small tight knit group of friend who enjoys Tactical play, close friends, hanging out on TeamSpeak and playing a few maps. We are semi serious, tho we do not have a hard set or rigid membership structure. We believe everyone in the group has a voice and in general decisions are made by majority rule. We are generally US based, many of us have former military experience. We have several members from other countries. We also do a considerable amount of RPG gaming as well, having ties in the VTT gaming spheres.. On the RPG side, we have been around since the days of BBS systems (FIDONET) prior to there being a public Internet. If this sounds interesting to you, please stop by and say hello.. We can be found on the web on several social Media sites and our own site at; Website TCR Games Facebook Facebook Page FaceBook Group Group Forums (Google+, Twitter and several others; see website for details)

‘Almost Tactical’ is a Multi-Gaming community setup by a group of friends who share the same passion for games. As the name suggests we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we enjoy games for what they are.. games! That being said we like to do our best when playing them; working as a team and encouraging others to do the same. We are a mature group with 50+ members; we really enjoy Squad and we are looking for others to come and join to create a positive, friendly community on our servers. It's important to point out that we are are not a 'Mil-Sim' unit and there isn't a formal ranking system, however we do expect those playing their character roles in game (Squad Lead, Medic etc) to fulfill their roles and to help their follow team mates on the battlefield. There isn't an application form; instead we choose to get to know you as a person and invite you to join us on Team Speak and to get involved with us in game! HCG.Lokji posted a topic in Teams & ClansHCGaming4you community - high quality gaming fun Introduction Hello fellow squaddies! HCGaming has opened its doors for Squad. We are highly eager on this teambased gaming experience and now it is time to get some of YOU good people into the team! HCGaming was founded some years ago by me and some buddies and our main orientation was to get some teamwork into the usual 1-man-show player mentality of most players nowadays. We are no typical "clan" with registration and application sites where you have to write novels about your gaming experience and character. We just invite you to our teamspeak 3 server to introduce yourself in some sentences, join the same server as you do and play some rounds. Just as the concept of "if it fits I sit" we highly invite you to stay and have fun with us. Of course the "MilSim" atmosphere is important for us anyways so expect some guys who played Arma 2 or 3 / Project Reality / Red Orchestra / Insurgency or any other realistic shooter. But dont worry! It doesnt matter for us if YOU got these experience already. If not we are looking forward to show you this stunning feeling to sit in a building and wait 10 minutes just for that 1 kill. Requirements to join: Aged 18 + (since we are 23+) English speaking Teamspeak 3 client and microphone So how do I join HCGaming or get some more info? Our newly created website (still wip): www.hcgaming4you.com Our teamspeak 3 server adress: "hcgaming4you.com" (or ip: 126.96.36.199) My steamprofile to add me: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Lokji Our STEAM GROUP for fast teambuilding: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/hcgaming4you Hopefully see you soon!
