      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof) etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   Section II: Forum Signatures   §1 Signature Dimensions
To avoid clutter, please make sure your signature (if you choose to have one) does not exceed the following size limit: 350x150 pixels. Your signature may consist of images, user bars and text elements, as long as the total size does not exceed 550 x 200 pixels. A small tolerance will be given, but any signature larger than the limit may at any time be deleted without prior warning. If you are not sure whether your signature is acceptable, please PM a moderator.   §2 Signature Content
All rules of section 1 fully apply to your signature. We will remove signatures or parts of signatures without notice if they violate the forum rules, and infractions may be given.   §3 Animated Signatures
Please refrain from using animated .gifs as signatures, they distract and clutter the forum.   Section III: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Hi guys, I have Squad since the pre-alpha, bough with a friend the developer helper edition or something like that. I have just started to play it now, cause the performance was terrible before, specially in AMD machines. I see that now performance is much better in AMD, but CPU utilization is not working as it should. First the game starts at 70-90FPS, (that's with around 65 players), but in the middle to the end of the round, FPS drops to around 38-45, if you check your GPU usage you can see that it was working fine when FPS was around 70-90, but when it drops, GPU utilization stays very inconsistent, with lots of drops and pikes. CPU utilization is around 40-60% for all the cores, so something is very wrong, and I'm pretty sure that Vulkan could solve it. Same thing happens for intel i5/i7 CPUs so that's not a CPU problem at all.
  2. Hi. I just wanted to let you know, the fullscreen mode in Alpha 9 is broken now. Check out the FPS and GPU usage.
  3. I have a I76700 GTX950 16bg ram and can provide more specs if needed. So basically i should be able to run the game on ultra right? BUT I CANT! I run the game at about 30-40 fps! Please help! I play at 1920x1080 on all low settings on forest maps i get 30-48 and on desert maps i get 50 on my favorite settings which are txxa high effects medium shadows high/epic view distance medium/low foliage. I get 38-50 fps on jungle maps but mostly 30-40 on forest maps and on desert maps i get 53-67 it moves a lot lol. I tried doing the command -useallavaliblecores but that didn't help either. So if you can help me or tell me anymore commands that would be great!
  4. (NEW!) (NEW!)
  5. Hey all. Just bought Squad a couple of days ago and its really fun besides the game stuck around 30-40 FPS no matter what graphic settings, everything low vs everything high does not improve or reduce my FPS. I noticed too that my video card just sits there and does nothing when I watch it in MSI Afterburner, it ramps up in GPU usage and clock speed for every other game I play. Also it even under clocks at certain points which is weird. I tried to maxium power setting in the Nvidia control panel for global and the game itself settings with no improvement either. I should be able to max this game out with at least 100+ FPS right? here are my specs i7-6700 @ 4.0Ghz 16GB DDR4 RAM (2133Mhz) MSI Aero GeForce GTX 1080 OC'd - 2706Mhz Core Clock / 5557Mhz Memory Clock.
  6. Hey there SQUAD devs and/or community management, i thought that i should give my feedback to the developers on this game, since i'm a backer and did put about 700hours into it, right after launch. I stopped playing Squad about 6 or more months ago because of the poor game performance and the lack of improvement in that area. Yesterday i came back to see how this game developed over the past months and if it's worth putting my everyday afternoon gaming time into it. Today i decided: It is not. Warning: This isn't supposed to be a hate thread and i also don't want to trigger the overly attached hardcode fan bunnies (is BLITZA still here?), but i feel like giving you - the devs - my opinion on the games current state. First off: i really like that vehicles are now in the game and i've also tested some of the new weapons. Both looked and worked better then expected (still having arma2 flashbacks, when i think about vehicles). Effects and sound design improved as well. However, all of this i couldn't really enjoy, because of the - still - poor performance of this game. Don't get me wrong, this is much better compared to the first few months after the game release, but it's still not even close to where a multiplayer FPS title should be - not even in alpha. I experienced FPS drops, i experienced low average FPS, i experienced mouse input lags and i experienced hit-reg desyncs. For me, as a longterm FPS fan, these are things which make a game fun and playable, or not fun and not playable to me. Squad went a long way already with its performance topic when i was still playing. But where are you guys now? It's over a year since release now and this game is still nothing to take really serious on the multiplayer FPS market. If you can't expect a first person shooter, where you rely on reflexes, aim, fast decision making (and alot more), to run at least on a stable frame rate of - let's say - 60 FPS, you did something wrong. If you can't expect the game to always register your fired bullets correctly and with (almost) no time lag, you did something wrong. If you can't expect the game to not let you randomly drop to 20 fps, even while you are in a building with almost no players on the server, you did something wrong. Squad is the most atmospheric shooter i've ever played. I've played tourney matches with my old team, i've played hundreds of public matches with new and veteran players and i was a active community member for a quite long time. I just really hope that you guys gonna start changing priorities in your product management team. Why would you add more performance hungry features, when even the base game is still not running how it is supposed to be? Yea, i know.. "That's how alphas work. First: add all features, then you improve performance". No! That's not how it works. You can't take this as an excuse for a whole year, while still working on new performance hungry features. Who will be left in the end? If this game will ever be "totally finished", with working FPS performance coming with the last update, i'm asking: who will be left? This early access phase IS your published content. It IS what the people are playing and talking about. It IS what players will stop recommend or give a bad rating. You guys already know that it's simply not possible with the current engine state, to give a stable performance, while still trying to reach your "100 vs 100 players on a map big like half the Iraq" vision. The questions are: will you guys still trying to push out content and hope that there will be some players left who don't care about a stable game performance in the end? Or will you guys change your vision and adjust your game goals to reach the standard of modern shooters game performance? Only you guys know, but i will not be around to find out. --- To whoever feels triggered right now (in the months i was active at the forums, there was alot of easily triggered people here): - Game was played on a i7 5820K, 32GB RAM, GeForce GTX 980Ti, Win10 - average FPS were 40. - Yes, i tried every in-game setting combination to try improve the performance - Yes, i could have turned my resolution down to 640x480 with everything on low, to get stable and high fps. I would have chosen this option if this game isn't about spotting players on long distances and long to med range fithing. - Yes, i know how to tweak stuff in the game config files to try to improve the performance (is it still possible to turn off shadows and foliage? ;-)) - Yes, i get it, "Squad isn't made for me" and "i am an ******". I "should really go play CoD or CS", since those are the only games where performance matters. - Yes, i know, you guys get "good FPS, game feels totally smooth to me" - even if most of you guys don't even know how to turn on a fps display. As an addition here: it still doesn't count when you get 60+ FPS ONCE at firing range, while looking at a wall. It only matters what your average FPS line is, while you are in a live game with the max possible - by the devs recommended - amount of players on a server. - Yes, i know. Netcode isn't something which matters in this game, since it's not about hitting moving targets, it's about just spraying bullets all around, so we can all feel like real life soldiers. --- Thanks for reading. Goodbye. Endgame
  7. Specs: i5 4430 8 gigs ram standard 1tb hdd gtx 1060 6gb (i believe its evga) im getting same dreary 40ish~ fps on an almost full server with all settings low (increasing visual settings doesn't seem to affect the fps) halp
  8. I bit the bullet and bought a used Acer Predator X34A Ultrawide 1440p monitor. I was fed up with jagged edges and the jerky movements whenever my frame rate dropped below 60 (I was using a 1080p 60Hz display before). My only concerns were that my PC might struggle with Squad at 1440p as I was seeing 40-80fps at 1080p on average. (i74790k @ 4.7Ghz & 980ti FTW) and that going from a 43" display down to a 34" might be underwhelming. The size isn't really an issue because all I did was move the new smaller display 10" closer to where I sit, problem solved. I'll probably still keep my 43" display setup somehow for when playing racing sims as I sit way back when using the wheel and pedals. And so far 1440p with no in game AA has made the shimmering jagged edges almost non existent, they are still there a little but nowhere near as obnoxious and annoying as they were before and G-Sync is just amazing, I just jumped into a full server and surrounded my self with smoke and made my frame rate drop to 40 and it was exactly buttery smooth. With my old 60Hz display literally any frame rate under 60 would be jerky. I'm sure with the current version of Squad my FPS will dip below 40 at some rare points in the game, surrounded by smoke while being suppressed etc so I'll see if G-Sync helps at that low a level of FPS but those moments in game are quite rare so we'll see. For now though I'm extremely happy as the game optimisation can only get better so hopefully from now on I can just turn off my FPS counter and enjoy the game! Oh, and Ultrawide, OMG, absolutely perfect for Squad. EDIT/ added photos:
  9. Hello guys. I'm from Turkey. I have built a new PC has rx 470 4gb and i5 6500 . Can I play it on Max (ultra settings without drags or dropping Fps? Then Can I run it between 50-60 Fps which I said details?
  10. I'm Swapping my 8350 OC to 5ghz with an i6 6600k and gtx 1070. I'm currently getting 25-30 fps with 4k rez on full servers. Changing my rez doesn't affect fps much only 2-3. what kind of fps will I see?
  11. Hey All, I have 400+ hours into Squad. With just about every patch for the past few when I join a server I get <5 FPS. Normally I have 60+. Before the resolution was to uninstall & reinstall Easy Anti Cheat. I have tried, in all sorts of variations and order - Reinstalling EAC - Deleting C:\Users\Robert\AppData\Local\Squad\Saved - Verify Integrity of game cache through steam This is quite frustrating as I usually have to spend a ton of my free time fixing the game so it will work rather than getting to play. I am currently doing a full reinstall of the game. Windows 7 64 bit Genuine GTX 980ti Core i7-3820 @ 3.60ghz 16gb RAM I am installing Squad on a secondary hard drive (not C) DX Diag Info
  12. Hey guys am pretty shure a lot of people have talked about this but am just wondering if there is a devoloper than can anser me this what will be the next optimization update becouse it really laks it i know i dont got the best pc and i know you guys are bissy and i know that alpha 8 was just on that but just wondering becouse compared to other games that side is pritty bad and i love this game good job guys and a tip if you guys can implement a compas inseted of the hud for more realism that would be good thanks and later guys.
  13. I recently tried Squad, and i jusst wanna share what FPS i got with my laptop spec: intel core i5, 8GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 940MX 2GB, 1336x768 Resolution Low: 36-41 FPS Medium: 34-40 FPS High: 33-40 FPS I believe that this performance can be tweaked even more, beacuse this game is not fully optimized in my opinion. Thank you!
  14. Hi Guys OK, I have a new rig, 6700k CPU, 32 mb ram, 1080 Gigabyte G1 video card. SSD M.2 PCi I have notice running Squad on epic settings the game runs perfect only that the video card starts to heat up to around 80 degrees and fans at 100 percent, obviously the card is giving everything to the game and continues to do so resolution is 2560 x 1440 and fps is through the roof, so I have set in Nvidia control panel Adaptive V sync and card stabilises at 59 degrees so this is cool. My question is, is this the best option is Adaptive V sync better than standard v sync or are there other options? Cheers for any help, iff not it may help someone else what I have done.
  15. I just tried to start the game from the program CPU Cores, played in the "Firing Range" and got me extra +20 FPS, does anyone tried this program too? And anyone knows better settings in the program to get even better performance? The program: http://store.steampowered.com/app/384300/ My specs: i7 4770K, MSI GTX 970, 16 GB-Ram, SSD 840 Evo.
  16. I currently have an ATI radeon hd 4800 whit an AMD fx 6100, the lowest i get on full servers whit all settings low is 15 fps, mostly get around 20 to 25. I used to have a gtx 760 but for some reason my computer wont start when it is attached (This started randomly and i dont know how to fix). But now i bought an i7 4790k, i just need the motherboard, we`ll see how it goes.
  17. I love the game alot but i really hate the 15-20 fps when i can play doom at ultra at 60 fps..anything i can do to fix i understand theres a problem with amd cpu ive tried almost everything Processor AMD FX(tm)-4300 Quad-Core Processor Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 RAM 8.0 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 8.1 (build 9600), 64-bit
  18. Hello, I have a medium computer in which I can basically run all games of the present time in a good graphic quality and with stable FPS, but in squad my game gets in a horrible graphics quality and the FPS is falling, I've seen Several videos on how to improve FPS and I've always done what I'm told to do. Well, I would like you to help me, since I'm new to this game (I bought Saturday) Here are the technical specifications of my PC GTX 750 Ti Fx 6300 8 Gb RAM
  19. I couldn't find this specific issue while searching. Let me preface that my PC technically is below minspec, but runs the game fairly playably! Usually around 30-40 FPS, though I don't count. ... That is, until I zoom in via binoculars. The FPS drops down to 10-15. So I'm wondering if either 1) anything can be done in tweaking to decrease the FPS hit from using binoculars or if 2) other people get this issue, and so it's something that the devs could look into fixing. My specs are: Windows 7 1600x1200 all low settings AMD Fx-8310 Eight-core, 3.40 GHz 8gb ram GTX 465 1gb
  20. Hello, I'm still experiencing bad FPS value even with the V8 update. In a 72 slots server (almost full i think), i got 25-30 FPS with drops at 15 FPS when a there is an explosion nearby. My config : i5 6600K R9 390 (8Gb) - Drivers up to date 8 Go RAM Windows 10 anniversary My graphic settings : http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/188416901575941767/C85858DE91D46C6953E33F3BD0F3EB8D40802034/ I don't understand this situation because i see friends with 970 GTX who got 60-70 FPS. Secondly, I'm also experiencing this error just after i took this screen shot ^^ : http://tof.canardpc.com/view/8b506f12-03f2-40ab-bb46-0a9b8797471d.jpg Finally, I got a black screen between the Sqaud initial logo and the keyboard setting page (at the start). Normally this black screen is quit quick (~10-20 sec) but sometimes it can last forever. I don't know how to reproduce this.
Google Translate version: Hello, dear developers! I bought the game Squad in January 2016. But after release 7 version I was 20-25 fps in the forest areas and 35-40 FPS in the desert. Now 8 version of the game, I have the same performance as before FPS on average. P.S. 1. 22. Hi everyone Si i just downloaded squad and im seriously thinking about buying it but im having serious issues with the gameplay performance. On training mode the game runs better than i expected it to do since its a demanding engine, over 150 fps avg on ultra. But on multiplayer its a completely different story. I changed servers to see if that was the problem, lowered the settings to the lowest possible and stopped streaming. None of this fixed the 10 to 5 fps avg i get only on multiplayer. What could it be? I couldnt do a stream of the game because of this and i really want to get into it. This are my specs Case: THermaltake Chaser A41 Power Supply: Corsair CX750m OS: Windows 10 Motherboard: Asrock Z97 Extreme6 CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k Memory: Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit Hard Drive: Seagate 2TB Video Card: ASUS STRIX Nvidia GTX 1070 Headphones: Kingston Hyperx Cloud Monitor: Benq XL2411z Mouse: Logitech g400s Mousepad: Steelseries Qck+ Keyboard: Logitech g105
  23. Hello squad players ! just wanted to ask about the antialiasin options in v7 which of the mentioned in title is better for performance ? im using a notebook for the game and since new patch fps dropped however i found slightly increased fps while using FXAA can some one explain differences ?? Regards wolf
  24. Alright so I am not happy at all that I was a backer for this game and see no end in sight for my AMD fps issues. I actually have bought this game twice btw. I love the game and the only thing keeping me from playing is the fact that I can run all other games on ultra 1080p 80-120 fps. I currently have a FX-9590 and the most powerful 780ti (ghz edition) Basically it runs neck and neck with every 980 ive dropped into this box and tested it against. Now I am one who thinks it is absolutely insane to build a new pc just to run a game, but i literally have not played squad longer then 10 mins just a few times in the past 6 months or so. I used to play every night all night but just finally could not stand the disadvantage of these frame rates. In the backer stage fps wasnt too bad at all on this rig. Squad launched and slowly my fps has lowered over time. I mad a youtube video to help other amd users and helped in a few threads. I raised a lot of hell. Ive been told My rig isnt good enough blah blah blah. At one point i finally gave in and stayed to 50 people and below servers jus to maintain a good 50-60 fps on ultra. I was able to live with that and then even that didnt seem to matter. Now it seems those servers do not even exist anymore. Fast forward to now. I had poured over peoples fps responses and a long time ago people w mid level intel and mid level gpus were getting 60-100 fps. So now im in a situation where I need to build a second pc because I work from home and my company is getting very intrusive by forcing us to run end point a/v software and other programs that will run 24/7 on my pc that i can not control or shut off. So that being said I thought " well i might as well do an intel build this time as I have maxed out amd and its current options" Now Im just gonna throw this out there. I get amazing performance on EVERY title with this pc. I also get pretty damn good fps on Unreal 4 engine titles ( ark, UT online etc) Even in something like ark who also is in early development even in its early days if i did have an fps issue everyone had that issue and I could easily adjust a few settings and get a constant 60 fps. ( Do you know how big the map is in ark and how much shit is on that map??) So this whole its unreal engines fault and just wait on them to update to me is bs. Mind you Epic games did say that they dont agree its 100% engine fault and also asked why didnt the devs of squad bring this to their attention? Thats beside the point and I apologize for the rant but it just really pisses me off because it feels like the devs are kinda avoiding the situation and could at least make this a priority as well as keep us informed of all new info they get or a road map or ets or something. Feels like its just been ignored. Below is where I discuss my main question of this thread So on to the real point of this. Im looking at buying a 6600K cpu. I will prob pair this w a 1070 or 1080 but would like to see where im at w my current gpu first before I upgrade as I know it has some life left in it. In my mind i think back to the fps I would see others getting months ago and am honestly expecting a constant 60 fps but really more like 90+ on full servers balls to the walls ultra settings. Will I be disappointed by squad once again after dumping another 500$ plus??? I honestly dont know if I can take another kick in the balls by this game. Im still pretty butt hurt by the original situation. I really do enjoy the game and would love to bring a bunch of friends over to this title from the battlefield franchise but its embarrassing to stream the game at the current state it plays on my machine. What would I see frame wise before I spend my hard earned cash?? I could always do another drive and os for work, so honestly squad is what is allowing me to justify this new pc build. I am a computer science student so I know my shit. I know all about the ipc of intel compared to amd. My pc is currently more then capable to run this game had it been coded and optimized correctly on a base level. Yes ue4 is not perfect yet but other devs were given these same tools and have been able to do pretty damn well. So will i be let down again. Also can anyone tell me what time frame we are looking at from engine updates to game optimization of when this game will run like its supposed to. I mean its 2016 and this game is running all on 1 core mainly and using 50% of my gpu. At this point I think its safe to say that squad is the most un optimized game that you can purchase on steam right now. I know its possible to get a decent fps because I see youtubers running gameplay that is only seen in my wettest of dreams. So all bull shit aside whats the deal??? Thanks for putting up with my bullshit and for your responses in advance.
