      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

      Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
      Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
      If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
      As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
      Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
      Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
      Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
      Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
      Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here. 
        §10 Images in posts
      When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
      .gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
      Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
      Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
      Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
      It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
      There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
      Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
      Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
      Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
      If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
      You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. Hey folks, I'm frequently getting the error "Out of Video memory trying to allocate a texture" after some minutes of playing. Anyone else encountering this error after the new patch? Playing on epic. Changing the graphic settings didn't work so far... Had no problems in v11...   2. System Error when starting

    on startup the game doesnt launch and gives me a system error. Error 1: The code execution cannot proceed because X3DAudio1_7.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this. Error 2: same as above except its XAPOFX1_5.dll not being found. ive tried reinstalling the game and C++ and have windows fully updated.
  3. When i try to start the server.. i get this error or problem idk.. Anyone can help me?
  4. Hi all, I've been having an issue when starting up squad for the last 2 weeks. When i start the game, it boots up gets to the menu page where you select a server, and then it crashes my whole computer. The screen goes black, fans throttle up full, and i then have to turn the pc off and back on again. There is no error message, nor blue screen which makes me think it is something to do with the game itself. I have tried verifying the game files, reinstalling, and checking Geforce Drivers.   5. Please help - I have played Squad for over a year now and had no problems at all until I recently updated to Windows 10 and did a fresh Install. I now get an Error when launching the game, a message pops up "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application" Then When you click OK a message from windows pops up "PostScriptum.exe untrusted system file (C:\\Windows\System32zdwmapi.dll)" Anyone know how to fix this? Fixes i've already tried that don't work: -Uninstalling easy anti cheat -Verifying steam cache -Disabling Windows defender -Disabling anti Virus -Run as admin -Repair EAC I also get the same message when trying to run the Post Scriptum BETA. I love this game and i'm worried I won't be able to get this fixed i've looked at other peoples posts on here and nobody seems to have resolved this issue
  6. Hey, I get an error every time i try to join a server on Squad. When i come to the loading scree with the keybindings, the game make the "nature" sounds, and show me a little in game part of the game. Lika a house or a building. After a few seconds the game goes back to the keybindings loading screen. 10 seconds after that the game crashes or i gett redirected to main menu with this error "EAC Kicked: Authentication Timed Out 1/2".. I have tired uninstalling the game, unnistalled EAC, tried fixing the files, move the game to aniother hard drive, but nothing woks. I have 60 hours gameplay with this game, and i love it. So its frustrating that it wont work now. Please help me witht this.
  7. Hello, i have a big issue playing Squad. Namely, alot of times my game just freezes completely. Sometimes it loops the last few seconds of sound, or just cuts it off completely. Sometimes it comes back after 1-2minutes, but usually freezes just after again. I cannot play the game due to this. I have downloaded the game clean when it was updated to v11 and cleared the cache also.   8. ERROR IN MY GAME HELP!

    Everytime i open up squad i receive an error that goes by. EasyAntiCheat Error: Unknown file version. (Squad\Content\Paks\kokan_valley.pak) I didn't think much of it at first but every time I enter a public game I receive an EAC kick for timing out. Would be thankful if someone could help me with this problem and get playing again.
  9. Just recently I have been getting an error that kicks me from the game. I have tried reinstalling EAC, System reboot, uninstall/reinstall of the game itself and verifying the game cache via steam. Despite all of this I am still unable to play the game. I have attached a picture of the error message I receive once I boot the game up as well as a picture of the error message I receive when I am kicked from a game. This has never happened to me until recently. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi, I own the game since the beginning, but I can't really play it. Everytime I play I'm getting "Out of Memory" error. No matter what settings I choose. It just happen during fist few/several minutes into the game. Due to that I've just played 24h in total... while in Project Reality I used to spends hundreds of hours in past It's several months and this problem is still existing... Well, 1) Ingame settings doesn't matter 2) Drivers versions doesn't matter 3) It's the only game that's crashing for me - I can play new Unreal Tournament, ARMA3/2, Hitman, Cities: Skylines, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, Crysis series and all other games without any problems. 4) Doesn't matter if my Hardware is Overclocked or running stock 5) I'm not running any software in background like Antivirus etc. Specs: i5 750 8GB RAM Gigabyte GTX970 G1 Gaming SSD+HDD 750W PSU Windows 7 64bit 1650x1050 LCD Game is crashing with this error into some ridicous low res like 640x480 or so: I can hear game sounds in background.   11. Hello, my game disconnects me every time I join a server. Server loads, map shows up and I am being kicked out in 5 seconds or earlier. Every server I try, this happens. Only time it didnt happen is with empty servers. This started happening since 9.6. update.   13. Hi , since the 9.3 to 9.4 patch , I've been getting a squad.exe "no disk in the drive" error popup after the mini-loading popup at the start when you launch the game. I am launching it on steam. I can play the name by pressing continue , as the game continues to load , but its getting on my nerves as even after the 9.5 hotfix patch didnt fix it. I also verfied the game integrity on steam and it says eveyrthing is fine. Please advise on how to fix this. Thanks!

So, i bought Squad on this first day of summer sale. had the "failed to start the game error", which consists in executing the game, waiting for that initial loading bar, and when the bar is full, the "failed to start the game" appears. So, i tried installing vc redist 2015 x86 and x64, and vcredist 2013 x86 and x64. Unninstaled and installed again the anti-cheat. executed everything possible as admin, and nothing worked. the only thing i didn't try was to keep my windows (i have windows 7) updated as much as possible, because for some reason, my windows update refuses to download the updates. So i still can't play the game. BUT, i found this in the launcher_log of the anti-cheat (common/Squad/EasyAntiCheat). Picture below. So i wanna know if this is what have been stopping me to play the game. But, even if it is or if it's NOT, i'll need help to fix this (maybe there's already a topic with this error solved, so someone could send me a link?) so that's it guys.   17. Hello, So basically whenever I click play on Squad , the loading launcher pops up, finishes loading, then nothing. Squad in steam doesnt even show "Squad - Running" once it closes. Occasionally Ill get a "Easy Anti Cheat has stopped working". What I have tried: - Restarting Computer - ReInstalling Game - Verifying Files - Deleted Squad %localappdata% folder - Uninstalled EAC - Reinstalled EAC - Started steam with admin - Started squad with admin - Cleaned Disk Memory Keep in mind that I have logged over 250+ hours into Squad so this is completely out there. I have had plenty of other squad related issues in the past but I have been able to troubleshoot, not this one though. Can't find log files anywhere for as to why it is crashing. None of it has worked. Any ideas or help? Thank you

    I am having problems with easy anti cheat. Upon launch or soon after I receive the error EasyAntiCheat Error: Unknown file version (squad\paks\pakchunk0-windowsnoeditor.pak) and my game will eventually close a random amount of time later. I have tried using the setup tool, uninstalling and repairing it. Uninstalling the game. Making sure that it is on my firewall. Running the game, and launcher in administrator mode. I don't know what else i can do to fix.
  19. When im at the menu, the sound works.. and everywhere else on my computer, the sound works. But all the "in match" sounds does not, so when I join a lobby and load in, everything is dead quiet. Ive tried validating my files and ive triend turning the vol up ingame to over 100% Have anyone else had this problem?...

    I want my brother to get into squad and he is having problems running the game. SPECS that he knew off the top of his head: Samsung Laptop, intel i5 processor, 6GB RAM, 2.6Gz Good wired internet connection All attempts were made on servers with good ping OFFLINE 1.The Firing Range on all low settings is fine ONLINE MULTIPLAYER 1.When joining a multiplayer game with good ping the loading takes forever. If the loading takes too long the server eventually boots him back to main menu. 2.The right side of the screen gets cut off/a bar appears there. That bar can be black or a different color or a still shot of what the screen was previously showing, or even a steam window. We believe the issue is known as screen tearing. 3.Even IF the multiplayer game loads, the graphics are on low and the game runs really really slow. With some added graphical glitches such as seeing through some walls. 4.Upon returning to the main menu the screen tearing can still be seen until the game is restarted QUESTION Is his computer just not able to run the game or is this an error which is fixable?

    I ran the game just fine for about 6h, but since I restarted my computer, it does not work and a error appears. The error says: Die Anweisung in 0x741 ccf34 verweist auf Speicher 0x741 ccf34.   23. Hey folks I have this little problem when trying to start the game, as you can se from the title. Its coming with this error, and I can't get in the game. Its on danish, so it saying: instruction at 0x00007FF8EB5584F8 referenced memory at 0x000002AB57C2D2B4. The memory could not be written. I have tried the "verify integrity of game cache" thing under properties in steam, and uninstall, but it does not work... So, someone here that have a solution to this problem?

    Yesterday i played the game normally but since today i get an error when i launch the game. It first says "The application was unable to start correctly("0xc0000022) and after that the launcher says that its error code 10018. i tried everything verifying the game, re-installing the game and everything is up to date, but i still get the error.     I have just today purchased Squad from steam and was hoping it would be a smoot ride installing and playing , but unfortunately that is not the case. I launch the game from steam and as the green loading bar reaches the end, I get an error and then it shows me game client encountered an application error. -Error Code 10018. I have tried validating the files on steam and launching the game as administrator but no luck as of yet, anyone else had the same problem?
