      Forum Rules   07/06/2016

Introduction   The Squad Team reserves the right to edit, update, add and remove rules at any time. Applicable rules extend to the PM system. Your PMs are private, but the Squad Team may be informed about unacceptable PM content by the receiving party.   Section I: Posting Rules   §1 Show Respect This community can only work if we all respect each other. To that end, it is imperative that any time you engage with another user, either directly or indirectly, you show them respect with the content of your post. In particular refrain from flaming, insulting, abusing, taunting, racism, and other similar types of actions towards other forum users.   §2 Attitude & Behavior Poor attitude and behavior are the most common ways a negative / unsafe environment is created and perpetuated. As such that kind of behavior will not be allowed on these forums. Please be mindful of this rule when posting personal positions and opinions regarding topics which could be considered contentious in nature. As a rule of thumb, keep your posts civil in nature, and refrain from making posts that are likely to incite arguments and create a negative environment. As a privately hosted web forum we reserve the right to maintain an environment that we are happy the majority of our players are comfortable with.   §3 Swearing While we will not strictly moderate every little swear that occurs, please try to avoid excessive bad language. The moderation reserves the right to remove rants and unsuitable content at any time.   §4 Illegal Topics
Prohibited topics include, but are not limited to: Piracy, drugs (including cannabis), pornography, religion, racism, sexism, homo/trans -phobic content, videos and images showing violent death or serious injury, ‘spam threads’, hacking & griefing (endorsement thereof), religion, politics,  etc. Prohibition may be suspended for some threads if they are found to be suitable by the Moderation (such as scientific debate).
If there is doubt, the Moderation Team can decide whether a topic is considered illegal.   §5 Attitude towards Squad and the Development Team
As per §1 and §2, keep in mind to be respectful and reasonable, not only towards all users of the forum, but also towards the Squad Team and towards any ideas and content and the game itself. Criticism is welcome, but if it is not constructive and/or if it is offensive, the Moderation may need to step in. Please refrain from posting if you are upset, angry or drunk, or you may be punished for things you wouldn’t have otherwise written, which is not in anyone's interest.   §6 Language & Legibility
Please post only in English. Non-English content (including non-legible content) may be removed. If you see someone posting in another language because s/he apparently does not speak English, please report their post - if you can, you may reply in their language to explain their question, but please do translate their and your message so it can be reviewed by the Moderation. ‘Hiding’ insults in non-English posts will be punished harshly. Posts written largely in ‘leetspeak’ or full of spelling / grammatical errors may be treated like non-English content. This rule does not extend to PMs.   §7 Forum structure & Search
Please ensure when posting a new thread, that the thread is located inside the correct forum section. Check all forum section titles to judge where your thread should belong. Threads created in the wrong forum section will be moved or deleted.
Before posting a new thread, please make use of the forum search to find older threads about the same topic. In doubt, it is recommended to rather post in an existing thread, unless that thread is years out of date. However, do not bump old threads without adding a new question / answer / insight that wasn’t in that thread before - use common sense.   §8 Thread Titles
Please name your thread appropriately; the subject title should sum up / explain the content in the thread. If you fail to name your thread properly (such as ‘Hey!’ or ‘Check this out!’ or ‘Help!’), we will either rename or lock the topic. Repeated offense may lead to infractions. The practice of using CAPITALS only in your thread title is not allowed and will be edited or the thread will simply be deleted. Strange or abnormal Unicode characters should be excluded from thread titles for the sake of being distracting and unnecessary.
      §9 Thread Capitalization
Please ensure that your post is not in all CAPITALS, as this is not allowed. Any threads posted in all caps will subsequently be removed from the forum. Repeated offenses may lead to infractions against your account. This practice is not approved or accepted here.
        §10 Images in posts
When posting images, mind the following restrictions:
.gifs will be allowed and may be removed by Staff if deemed necessary.
Maximum size for images is 1280x1024.
Do not include more than ~1 large image per paragraph of text, unless in image collection / announcement threads. Link to further images.
Consider posting thumbnails. You may post a few more images per post if they are reasonably small, the details are for the Moderation to judge.   §11 The use of BBCode
It is allowed to use the BBCode in your posts. Over usage is not allowed. You may use the Bold in a reasonable manner but not for the whole text body. You may use the size feature but in a limited reasonable manner. You may not use any of the additional fonts at all. Color may be used to high light a point but again, not for the whole text body. Moderators will be watching for misuse and will edit when required without giving notice. Continued disregard for this rule will result in Moderator action in the form of warnings.   §12 Complaints of Server/Admin Abuse Reports of server/admin abuse will not be posted publicly. All reports concerning this type of behavior should be place in the appropriate sub-forum. http://forums.joinsquad.com/forum/241-report-server-admin-abuse/ All posts made outside of this area will be be removed.   Section II: Reporting & Moderation   §1 Reporting Posts
There is a Post Report system in place. If you notice a post that violates forum rules, simply use the exclamation mark icon below the users avatar image to send a report to the Moderation. We will then review this post. Your report will not be made public and cannot be linked to your person by anyone outside of the Squad Team. You will not be punished for using the Report system even if the report was false, unless you repeatedly abuse the system to spam it.
Do not ‘report’ posts by replying directly in public to them. In case of spambots, this prompts them to respond in turn, spamming the forum further. This also fuels flame wars and arguments.   §2 Reporting Moderators
Moderators are subject to the same forum rules (and some additional rules / exceptions). If you think that a Moderator has treated you unfairly or is otherwise breaking forum rules, please PM the Lead Moderator or any Administrator. Do not accuse Moderators in public, the Squad Team will treat every complaint seriously and it is in our interest to discipline or remove Moderators who are known to break forum rules.   §3 Respect Squad Team members and Moderators
Do not ignore or argue against Admin, Moderator or Dev instructions on the forum. If you have a complaint, as per §2, please inform the Team in private. You are expected to follow orders given by the Moderation, Administration and Development Team, and it is necessary for smooth running of the forum to respect their decisions. Being stubborn or ignoring warnings will lead to harsher punishments - however, we do not tolerate Moderator / Admin abuse of power / privileges, so do not hesitate to inform other Team members if you feel treated unfairly.   §4 Bans and multiple accounts
If your account is temporarily or permanently banned, do NOT create another account. Bypassing a ban will result in further action, and a permanent ban of all of your accounts.
You are not allowed to have more than one account for any reason. If you share an internet connection with another user who has their own account, it might happen that this account is incorrectly identified as a secondary account - please get in touch with the Moderation or Administration to resolve such issues.

  1. UE crash

So after a short brake ,2-3 weeks, i cant start the game at all. When i first started it, there was a small update, but after that it just crash with.: An Unreal process has crashed: UE-SquadGame. In the background, the startloading screen shows but standing still. I press Send and Close/Close Without Sending, the Cresh Reporter closes, but it still shows the loading screen. If i press Send and Restart, the Crash Reporter closes, but it still shows the loading screen, and then a second loading screen pop up, still not loading anything, and a second Cresh Reporter pops up. I tried the usual stuf.. Reinstall game. Clear download cache. Delete save files. Reinstall Steam. Anti Virus off. Firewall off. I tried just about every thing, that usually can be the reason, but nothing... Other games start up just fine, even other Unreal Engine games i can play with no probs. file:///C:/Users/Far Nuzzi/Pictures/Capture.PNG
Plom
  3. I had GTX 670 and the game was working. Then I reinstalled my Windows 10 and changed GPU to RX 580 4GB. Now when I try to join a server game crashes after loading for some time. Even though the training works. Settings are nothing special: medium textures, high shadows, disable texture streaming unchecked. I have MSI afterburner + RTSS running but only for monitoring and FPS lock. What I've done: verified cache, deleted local appdata folder, reinstalled, cleared cache in-game, reinstalled EAC via Squad game folder file, locked size of swap file to 8GB. And nothing worked out. Logs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Je4m21Nx-Z1yqh6xMNJ7imY32AJEbDIK?usp=sharing Config: FX8300, RAM 8GB, GPU driver version: 19.12.2 UPD: Error: Out of memory trying to allocate texture... UPD2: Partially solved by increasing page file to 10GB (was 8GB) but after some time it still crashed
  4. OS: Windows 10 Home CPU: Intel i7 7820 GPU: Nvidia 1070M RAM: 16BG System IS a laptop; Gigabyte Aorus x7 dt 7 Never had any issues with Squad but today with the 1.9gb B18 update im now unable to start the game at all Getting this error after the second splash screen. Comes in a popup window: Rudimentary research leads me towards some issue with the Unreal engine itself, but none of the things i've tried have worked. Things I have tried: Ensured Windows and GPU drivers are up to date Ensured RAM page file size still set to auto Laptop performance profile is set to High Cleared Cache Manually Verify local game files Full reinstall Repaired DirectX with dxwebsetup from Microsoft
  5. Constant crashing

OS: Windows 10 CPU: i7-4790 GPU: GTX 1060 RAM: 16 GB https://www.dropbox.com/transfer/cap_pid_ft%3AAAAAAOB3cewb4pUoZVmwaG33R0q5WSfsIaomS9upkXsPasogd-Kf7W4 My game crashes randomly. Sometimes I'm 30 minutes into a match, sometimes I'm still in the server queue. I've even had it crash while I was in the settings menu. All drivers are updated, I've cleared my cache, verified game files, uninstalled and reinstalled and it still crashes. I'm nearing my wits end here so I've come hoping someone here might be able to help
  6. Crash Report need help

Not sure if this is the right spot but i get getting this crash report after every round. Any help please? [CrashReportClient] bHideLogFilesOption=false bIsAllowedToCloseWithoutSending=true CrashConfigPurgeDays=2
  7. Hello everyone, it's been ~2 weeks, since the coming out of the V16 and the new drivers for ATI (19.10) that I get crashes from the game, be it on the main menu or in game. The crashes seem to have no correlation to hardware's stress, as it could happen anytime (10 seconds to 40 minutes into game). I can attach the error image if needed. Cheers. EDIT: cache cleared when it happens, seems to delay the crash but it happens nonetheless. Did stress tests on CPU, GPU, repaired as I could the registry, still it happens.
  8. I bought the game for a long time, but played only 7 hours. Everything was good, I did not play for a long time, I decided to install it now and now it always crashing when im joining the server with this error (And Discord everytime crashes with game too): I tried all the solutions presented on the forum and on the steam community - nothing helped. (in particular, I just could not find the file of defaultengine.ini to make changes to it) Graphics settings: Everything is low, everything (what is possible) is turned off. The training mission is working fine. My computer: processor: i5 2400 3.1 GHz Video card: GTX 660 2GB VRAM 8GB RAM DDR3 Free disk space: C: 60 GB (system partition) E: 80 GB (where the squad is installed)
  9. CRASH

Hello all, help to solve the problem crash.2 minutes in gemes and crash. LoginId:c02e50bd4468f6e9a6db549da9dba6f0 EpicAccountId: You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash. my pc r5 1600 gtx 1060 ssd
  10. Game crashing every 8-12 minutes

"You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash." I crash around ~10 minutes after I start the game. I can hear the game sound continue on in a loop and the screen freeze. After that it takes a minute or so to get to a black screen and ctrl+alt+del out of the program.
  11. Never had that in 2000 Hours. Since V15 Squad crashes every Round end. The rest is completly fine. You need more then my UE4 Crash reports? latest Nvidia Driver 431.36 with 1080TI, 9900K Stock, 32 Gb 4133 Mhz Ram, 1 TB 970 EVo Plus, Win 10 1809 all Settings maxed but no Blurr and no SMAA. Any Ideas?
  12. Ive done everything in the following support link: https://offworldindustries.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/221442887-Easy-Anti-Cheat-Errors Reinstalled the game on a different hard drive but the game continues to crash after every game and makes me reinstall anti cheat.
  13. So, I very recently got this game, and I started playing with a friend. The first match we played ran smoothly with 50-60 fps on medium - high-ish settings. However, the second match, upon loading a (What I assume must be) much larger map, crashes to desktop with the error "Out of video memory trying to allocate a texture! Try lowering the resolution and closing any applications that might be running. Exiting..." - This happens seemingly at random, sometimes it loads a map and runs for about 5-10 minutes, but most of the time it crashes immediately upon getting the "Press ENTER to deploy" prompt. Empty servers do not seem to present such issues unless it is on (I presume are) the largest maps. I don't understand why this is happening, as I played the game a couple of years back on a free weekend with no issue, and I meet the minimum requirements for the game. Even at the bare minimum settings (At 1080p), the game will crash, usually taking steam and/or discord down with it. My Specs: NONE OVERCLOCKED: EVGA GTX770 2GB VRAM i5 3330 @3.3GHZ 12GB DDR3 RAM My logic being that if it can run arma 3 on medium at 1080p with 120+ people on, it should be able to run this no problem (As it does, even on high, whenever it doesn't straight up crash) I've tried: Updating graphics drivers (Which I did anyway to play Monster Hunter World) Lowering the settings (Not resolution, because I find it very silly that I would need to play at less than 1080 when this is not a demanding game at all) to absolute bare minimum (Didn't change much except getting 70-90 fps when the game doesn't crash) Verifying integrity of game files (All correct, was a fresh install anyways) Clearing up disk space (Yeah so upon looking it up this fixed stuff for a lot of folk, didn't for me) Disabling both discord and steam interfaces (Nada) I would love to play this game, because there are a myriad of features I enjoy in it. However, I feel that either the minimum requirements are underlisted, or that this issue has not been prevalent enough to be permanently fixed. Thanks for reading this far, and I patiently awake a response.
  14. Dedicated Server keeps crashing!

(This is my first time posting on the forums so I apologise if this post is in the wrong section.) Hello all, I've been running a dedicated server with the troopers mod recently but it seems to crash every so often, I checked the crash logs but I can't seem to find the issue. It's running the latest version of the dedicated server as well as the latest version of windows, also running windows defender. It has specs that can easily handle the dedicated server. Below there is a pastebin of the latest crash log file so feel free to look at it. https://pastebin.com/y4qSPr4E
  15. I recently purchased and downloaded squad from steam. I have recently been enjoying the game without issue. However, for the last two days a crashing bug has prevented me from enjoying the game. During online gameplay (and never in the offline practice range mode), the game will randomly kick me off the server. I never team kill or flame in squad, and the crashes have happened on multiple servers so i am positive that the server admins are not kicking me themselves. The crashes are unpredictable but inevitable, and happen in between 20 minutes and 30 seconds of game play. This is obviously extremely frustrating so if anyone can help me that would be very appreciated. The error message given is; "Squad Server Closed Connection". This vague error message does not aid in the diagnosis of the problem. Specs Intel i7 7700 Nvidea GTX 1070 8GB RAM 1TB SSD I have extremely fast wifi, with excellent download/upload speeds and sub 30ms ping times, which i know through the stat fps function in the console. I am sure this is not a connection issue on my side. I have attempted to delete the squad appdata and validate through steam. I have uninstalled and reinstalled squad to no avail. I have followed all the steps in another guide somewhere on this forum to maximise pc performance but to no avail. I have never used hacks or mods in any game (never mind any Unreal game) so Easy anticheat is unlikely to interfere with the game but who knows
  16. Launch crash

Hi, Since last night my Squad launcher fails to start the game up. Instead I get an UE4 crash report saying "an Unreal process has failed: UE4-SquadGame". The day before I did install a new SSD on my PC, but I played Squad after the installation and it worked fine for 3-4 hrs, when I came back a couple hours later, the game wouldnt launch anymore. The screenshots are the only things I get on my screen, after the minimalized loading screen, I get the crash report. I have reinstalled it a couple of times now, never worked. Thx in advance Walt
  17. I've had a consistent problem with Squad Crashing at random times with a Unreal Engine 4 Crash Reporter screen that pops up after the crash to desktop like the pic in the attachment. What info do I need to give a moderator to help fix this issue. This issue has been going on all year.
  18. Hey guys I get the following error message like 15 times in a row. Checking the local files for errors in steam didn't bring any success. Basically I can not play at all because this occurs every time I start the game.
  19. The game crashes when i enter main menu with unreal engine fatal error.
  20. So since V12 i got this error: Unknown file version (squad.exe) I have tried to validate the game files or delete some files and repair it but it didn't work. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks!
  21. Squad crash upon startup

My squad game has randomly stopped working and anytime I start the game up, the rectangular loading screen appears and then the game crashes and loads the Crash Reporter. I've tried to re-install the game but that hasn't fixed it, I've tried to start the game without Anti cheat running but that didn't work aswell and I don't have a MSI afterburner. Does anyone have this issue and is there a way to fix it? Thanks
  22. I launch the game and I get to the opening black screen with the 2 logos on and the game just closes and I get given a crash report, I have reinstalled verified game cache and nothing HELPPPP...….
  23. Hello, since update 12.x i've major issues with game crashes / UE crashes. According to the logfiles the problem lies with DirectX / Direct3D. Sometimes the game crashes while loading, other times I can "play" for 1, 2 or 15 minutes. Sometimes I can play 5 hours without problems. On the map Gorodok_XX_vX and Yehorivka, Mestia the error occurs more frequently in my opinion, but not only there. In the last 3 days I had more than 40 crashes The following errors almost always occur: Unreal process has crashed: UE4-Squad LogD3D11RHI: Timed out while waiting for GPU to catch up. (0.5 s) LogD3D11RHI:Error: Direct3DDeviceIMContext->Map(Texture,0,D3D11_MAP_READ,0,&LockedRect) failed at D:\BuildAgent\work\caab4109d9ff6c5c\UnrealEngine\Engine\Source\Runtime\Windows\D3D11RHI\Private\D3D11RenderTarget.cpp:1110 with error DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG Crashlog Sample Things I have already tried: clear user settings cache manually / GAME SETTINGS --> "CLEAR CACHED USER DATA." / via SquadFix.bat different game settings Steam - verify the game cache delete game / cache and reinstall run DXSETUP.exe as admin use DX web setup different versions of a graphics driver uninstall graphics driver via Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and reinstall disable all overlays (Steam, Discord, WindowsGameBar) set windows power management to max performance I don't use MSI Afterburner, Razor software or a recording software System: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X NVIDEA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti - 11 GB Crucial MX500 CT500MX500SSD4 500 GB intern SSD Windows 10 64-bit Bitdefender Total Security I hope I did not forget anything. The other Crash Logfiles I can gladly send you and if anything is missing, just ask. And now Please help me! ---> THX
  24. I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled on a new drive, I have updated my graphics card drivers multiple times, I have launched the game as administator, I am oped out of all betas on steam, and I have verified my game cache on steam. What the **** do i do next and when is it finally going to work? Please help me this is the only error message I get. You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash.
  25. EAC .dll error

I've played the game for eleven hours now without problems but all of a sudden the game gets an eac error untrusted file amdihk64.dll which is a system 32 file. This error induces a ue4 crash. system specs: I5 8400, 8gb Ram, Radeon RX 580 (os is 64bit)
